Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Douglas Lake

"Simply Beautiful". A simple and beautiful place to stay. Extremely clean, we'll organized and very cozy. With calm and peaceful surroundings, this property is conveniently located for trips in any direction. Stephen was a very kind and generous host. I would highly recommend this property and this gracious host to everybody!

Amy was a great host with an absolutely beautiful place to stay! Not only did we have a comfortable stay, but she allowed us to use the property as our wedding venue! Our guests loved everything about the home and how well Amy had preserved the character of the home through her design and furnishings. Amy was very kind and very quick to respond to our messages. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back for another stay!

Halo was a pleasure to stay with. We had a wonderful time and the house was very best and clean. We had a large family and there was plenty of for all of us. They even left us popcorn and candy for the kids so that made them really happy. I would definitely use them again and they were very responsive with all of my messages! Thank you so much!

Home was very comfy, nice huge yard which was great to walk my dogs around and very easy to find and get to. Area was peaceful, quiet, and in a very safe area. Rental was 1 of 3 located on host property but all private. Brian and his lovely wife were so nice and friendly. Brian even ran out to buy a digital antenna so us Florida Gator gals could watch the Final Four Men’s Basketball Championship game, and YES GATORS WON!! The sauna tub was relaxing, beds comfy, living area spacious and had anything you may need to make your stay nice. I would definitely come back!

This airbnb was in the center of everything! It was easy to get around, the beds were comfy and fit all of us comfortably. The host was super responsive. Check in was easy. Be aware the upstairs has slanted ceilings so being spatially aware to not run into it is key.

This is the second time I rented this amazing home. It is a wonderful place to rent. The location is great, the neighborhood is lovely and the amenities of the home are fantastic. We LOVED the theater room, cooking on the grill and having a meal outside and the hot tub! The communication with the host is top tier and everything went very smooth checking in and out. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I stayed in one of Carolyn's other properties and loved it. This one, too, did not disappoint. It is very cute, spacious, with all of the amenities I needed. There are extra touches like some snacks, coffee pods and water bottles. I didn't need it, but there was a dog water bowl, blanket, and some dog treats. The bed was very comfortable. Plenty of sheets and towels. The location includes a view of the lake and easy access to walk around the lake. There are lots of great places to eat and shop in the area. I just loved it and look forward to staying again in June.

Have been vacationing in Western North Carolina for about 30 years. The Sunset Cottage is one of the most enjoyable places that I have been to. It’s in a beautiful setting, off the beaten path, and you can get to everything conveniently from there. I would like to stay there again!

Clean, quiet, spacious, and a gorgeous view of the mountains. I was in town for a wedding and didn’t get to truly enjoy everything that was offered, but there were nice amenities like a coffee bar. The space was comfortable.

Tony and Barb's place was perfect for my overnight stay. I loved sitting outside in the screened in porch while sipping my wine. I would definitely stay there again and since it's a fully furnished 1 bedroom apt, I would book a longer stay as well.

Martin and Nikki were wonderful hosts-- friendly, conciencious and accommodating. The space was comfortable, they were flexible with check-in/out times and they even left us snacks :) We were in town for Big Ears and, while this isn't a particularly walkable distance from the festival, it's only a short drive away. Thanks you guys, maybe we'll see you again next year!

We never got to stay at Lara’s place due to the hurricane and not being able to get there but I seriously can’t rate a host higher. Lara was compassionate and so so helpful. It is hard to come by true, genuine people like this and I can’t recommend their place higher! Thank you for everything, we will never forget your kindness.

Perfect Smokey Mountain Getaway! The cabin was perfect in every way. My family of 4 stayed at Ron and Sheilah’s cabin for 2 nights while we explored Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. The location was perfect and driving the country backroads was breathtaking. Thank you Ron and Sheila!

Everything was exactly as described. Furniture was beautiful, the upstairs bathroom is brand new & GORGEOUS. Very clean.

great private getaway. we loved the fire pit and hot tub. I wasn't expecting the fireflies in April, but there were tons. Amazing.

This was such a great spot to stay! The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed eating our meals on the front porch, sitting by the fire pit next to the creek and relaxing in the hot tub. It was of season, but we were able to do whitewater rating nearby. A little bit of a drive to find groceries and restaurants gave a chance to explore the area! I hope to come visit again!

The house was perfect! Loved the hot tub and pool table. Peaceful area, and super spacious. I liked that the cabin was not far off of the parkway so it is a short drive to attractions/restaurants. Perfect for a couples getaway! Phyllis was kind, responsive, and helpful with whatever we needed. Definitely one of the best cabins we’ve stayed in and would for sure recommend!

The hosts were very friendly and provided a beautiful, clean, and peaceful home for our stay!

We had the limit and everyone fit nicely! All adults mixed group ranging 20’s to 60, very accommodating not flexible on time. In and out as scheduled. Cleaners were waiting for us to leave 7 minutes before our check out time. Otherwise the house was great. Plenty of dishes and cookware. Pond was nowhere to be found. Everything else great! House and rooms were very clean and I’m pretty picky about beds and bathrooms! Would recommend!

The house was super cozy and comfortable. Michael had the house ready ahead of check in and we felt welcome as soon as we opened the door. The house and outdoor space is much more beautiful than the pictures. The master bed/bath is amazing! There were plenty of towels which is always a plus! Everything you can need during your stay was available. After spending the entire day in downtown Gatlinburg, coming back, grilling steaks and relaxing at the bar/hot tub was absolutely perfect! Highly recommend!
