Ideal for birdwatching - bald eagles, kingfishers, ducks, ravens & crows are commonly seen. Bedrooms have beautiful private views toward the river. It is close to multiple shopping, dining, & grocery options. The main bathroom has sauna, double shower, & clawfoot tub. There are several great trails within walking distance: Brotherhood Trail and Wetlands EVAR Dike Trail.

River House: On Mendenhall River/Glacier(4 min dr)

We love our place on the Mendenhall River! Eagles, bears, deer, porcupine, and otters are common sights in the backyard while the soft rush of the glacier-fed stream provides a soothing background. We are located in the upper Mendenhall Valley, just a 5 minute drive from the Mendenhall Glacier & 3 minute walk to the Brotherhood Bridge trail which takes you into deep old forest almost immediately. The river is ever changing and always beautiful & peaceful. We are available, but don’t intrude.
