Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Douglas County

Great location, very clean. and comfortable bed. We really liked all the small touches, complimentary toiletries, and snacks! Nice to have a washer & dryer we could use too. The price was great, we will definitely be back!

The place looked exactly like the pictures. Most importantly it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The one or two questions I had were answered within 10 minutes. The apartment complex is also clean and quiet and there is plenty of parking. I will definitely keep this in mind when coming back to Kansas.

This was our first time staying at one of Fernando’s rentals but it won’t be our last. From the beginning he was responsive and helpful. The unit we rented was fantastic, very clean and well equipped. We had a group of moms visiting for Mom’s Weekend at KU and everything was either walkable or a short drive away. 10/10- highly recommend! ⭐️

This apartment was a great space that was exactly as described. Clean and new, easy to access and close to the KU campus. Would definitely stay here again!

Our son had a track meet at KU and Fernando’s place was SUPER convenient! It was better than we imagined! The communication is immediate and professional. Super clean, HUGE, and had more than we thought! Shampoo and conditioner in the shower!!! Laundry detergent!!! Seasonings in the kitchen!!! Condiments in the fridge! We felt so at home, we just cooked and never left the loft once we got back! Lol! The video directions were amazing and there was way more space than we anticipated! My husband is 6ft 7 so we definitely loved the space! If we can, we will stay there EVERY visit!

Apartment is at the end of a cul-de-sac so very quiet and sits right beside a beautiful walking path!! Our stay was just what we needed- family time! Super clean and decor I wished was at my house! We will definitely be back! Fernando was a very responsive host. 10/10

Dom was very helpful giving directions as to how to get into the place and making sure we checked in and out without any problems. Nice quiet area everything was great and Dom was super nice and attentive.

We loved our weekend stay at Adam’s place for a girls weekend. This was a perfect location especially if you are traveling for work to the VA or KNI. Thanks, Adam! We will be back.

We love it here so much. This is our second trip to Black Barn and we always have a blast. The firepits are awesome, the kitchen is so big and well equipped, the furniture is all very comfortable. The place is always very clean. It's so cool to go on nature walks. I mean this place is so big and private and amenable, you really can do whatever you like here. We tend to do big bonfires with dancing and music, board game nights at the big dining room table, naps in all areas, and big collaborative breakfasts. But, I have to shout out Heidi for being the absolute best host we've ever had. She is delightful to speak with. She clearly has a passion for what she does and cares about the customer experience. She is very responsive and polite. We just absolutely adore her. We will most certainly be back. Beautiful, spacious home in a terrific neighborhood was the perfect setting for large family gathering for 80th birthday party! Lori has extremely responsive and very helpful with recommendations when needed. Will definitely be back for future family functions…

I had a nice stay overall! The place was spacious, comfortable, and matched the photos. Communication with the host was clear and helpful throughout. There were a few small issues during the stay, but the host was responsive and worked to address them. The location was convenient and the neighborhood felt safe. Would definitely consider staying here again!

This was my very first Airbnb experience. I was nervous when I started to message him, but he was very friendly and nice. Doug’s house is more than what I expected! Each room was so spacious, tons of natural lights from many windows, four bathrooms are amazingly upgraded and the kitchen has many cool gadgets. When I asked him questions, he replied me immediately. Thank you, Doug!!
