Hazelnut cottage is so peaceful and surrounded by beautiful gardens. We stayed with our 9 month old baby and the place had everything we needed. Nicola and family were on hand to help if needed anything and super friendly. The pigs are a great solution for food waste too and our daughter loved watching them snaffle down the hazelnuts in the morning.

Really enjoyable stay , peaceful and clean space . Great walks and food close by. Georgi was so helpful and quick to respond , she made sure we were happy at all times during our stay - really recommend a stay at this lovely spot !

Great wee house, does come with some creaks and squeaks but to be expected in an old cottage. Heaps of character! Would happily stay again.

Peaceful, eclectic cottage which has been tastefully restored to pay tribute to the original building, plus some stylish new touches! Loved the story of how it all came together, and the proximity to Kaikōura was great. Thoughtfully put together space. Thanks for having us!

what a find! this little cottage was like it was straight out of a movie set. we really felt like we were staying somewhere special. the cottage itself was pristine, we made use of the wood fire heater every night. the outdoor bathtub was a special treat and we used the outdoor fire pits and bbq areas every night. the hand made touches were lovely. fresh baked bread and walnut loaf on arrival, home made soap in the bathroom and lots of breakfast goodies. walking through the garden was also a lovely treat and the location of the cottage was perfectly central to the vineyards. Angelica and Brent were gracious hosts as well, giving us lots of tips on local sights and activities. we can't wait to come back

We are frequent AirBnB’ers. This was truly one of our best experiences ever. The home is so cozy, gardens to get lost in, the interior aesthetic magical, and Anne and her husband could not be more lovely. Truly a wonderful stay!

Hampstead Cottage was a great find. Perfect location, close to the central city and surrounding suburbs. We felt very comfortable and at home, great kitchen, comfy beds and a nice courtyard. Liz was very helpful and responded quickly to enquiries. This would be my first choice if ever booking in Christchurch again as it suited us down to the ground.

Location was excellent so entertaining watching the boats come and go. Bedrooms were cozy and very comfortable beds. Graeme and Raylene were so friendly and helpful :)

Anna’s home was nicely located with beautiful nature, highly rated restaurants and easy access to the Somner beach. What I really liked was that the house was wonderfully equipped with every single thing you would need at your own home. This is a perfect place for anyone considering long stays.

Debbie’s place was perfect for us and our teenage daughters for a long weekend. Cosy but not cramped. Very well equipped. Debbie kindly allowed us to check in early and check out late which made our logistics much easier. We had a great stay despite the weather being very wet.

Pleasant lockwood style crib (bach for the North Islanders!) that meets all requirements for a holiday - places for walking - beach within easy drive or longer walk - store nearby for basics and takeaways - two bedrooms inside and outside sleepout very good - water pressure a bit low but easily handled - would be prepared to return if in the area again. Cozy cottage with beautiful views across the harbour and easy walking access to all the Lyttelton delights. The property is well equipped with all the amenities required for a comfortable extended stay. The property is inviting home away from home.

We had a wonderful stay at Mangamauna Cottage! The setting is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature and incredibly peaceful. The cottage itself is super cute, cosy, and well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The host was fantastic—friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this little gem for anyone looking for a quiet and scenic escape!

We would love to come back soon! The cottage was better than expected, and there were some lovely touches (fresh cut flowers, fruit etc...). We definitely recommend requesting to book the cottage if you are planning a trip to the region!

Top Shed is everything you could ever ask...if you want peace,views, privacy, all the cooking gadgets you'll ever need,cosy fire, gorgeous surroundings then it's a must. I'll be returning for sure.

Beautiful cottage. My partner and I wished we could’ve stayed longer. Cleanliness was immaculate and beautifully decorated inside and out. Highly recommend this gorgeous getaway to any couple looking for a break away! Hosts were very pleasant and flexible when it came to checking out. 5 stars from us x

This place is the definition of a classic Kiwi bach — no frills, but absolutely unbeatable when it comes to the view. Waking up to the sunrise over Taylor’s Mistake was next level. The walking track literally starts at the back door, and it’s just a short drive to Sumner with great cafes and a beautiful beach. We’d read a lot of reviews about the access being tricky and not to bring big bags, but honestly, it was totally fine — I think I was expecting something way more intense, so it felt easy! The directions and photos were spot-on, and even though we arrived at 9:30pm in the dark, we found it with no issues… then woke up to that stunning view. Magic. Laura was also a fantastic host — we booked super last minute (just a few hours before arriving!) and she got in touch straight away to make sure we had everything we needed. If you’re after luxury, this isn’t it — but if you want a real-deal, relaxed Kiwi getaway with a view that seriously delivers, you’ve found the spot.

We had a lovely stay at Bridget’s cottage. It’s very basic but priced as such and exactly what we were looking for. Bridget is a warm and friendly person and was there to help us out when we needed it. We would stay again for sure, highly recommend. Thanks Bridget!
