Knock About on the Lake is a wonderful lake cottage on a secluded wooded cove on Lake Wedowee! Perfect for a fall getaway, escape from the winter snow, or summer family fun. Three bedrooms, a downstairs TV/bonus room with 2 bunkbeds (4th "bedroom"), two full and one half baths. Enjoy nearby hiking, antiquing, or drinks by the our beautiful firepit under the stars. The start of this project was a box off a u haul truck. Now it is a cozy tiny home where animals come right up to the deck and you can enjoy sunsets over the pond. We love to have this place where families can come out and get away from the rat race of life and enjoy being out in nature. Guests are welcome to join us for whatever activities we are doing during your stay whether its working in the garden and harvesting fruit, or caring for the animals and milking the goats.

Clovers Cabin

Clover's cabin is a very cozy little place on Straight Mountain on a very curvy road. Update: We now have WIFI. Beautiful view in the winter, you can see for miles. Lots of tree coverage in the summer, which brings privacy. It sits about 200 feet from our home. A nice quiet place other than the animal noises. You can hike right out the back door. Please read entire guest manual under INFO FOR GUESTS, POST-BOOKING DETAILS. Give Code word to confirm it was read. Thank you

We came to Dreamy Oaks for the first night of our honeymoon and it was magical! The tent is incredibly cozy and romantic, and the views are so peaceful. Hannah and Jacob were so friendly, and our sunset picnic with the sheep and cows was a perfect evening. Could not recommend this dreamy, remote, luxury tent more!

Gloria’s place was perfect for our weekend getaway to do some hiking and off-roading in the area. Very clean, well stocked kitchen and bathroom, easy check in process. A note that there are a lot of stairs down to the dock if that’s an issue for anyone in your party but the view from the deck is beautiful as well! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an affordable spot on the lake!

Lovely farmhouse nestled in a holler in the Appalachian foothills. They have done an outstanding job of providing all imaginable modern amenities while maintaining the beautiful original architectural details of a mid-century home. We loved the heirloom shrubery and garden area that seemed planted by the original owners. I was impressed with cleanliness. The ramp was perfection for our family who uses a motorized wheelchair. Dog amenities for service dog thoughtful, as well. Loved the french press in the kitchen, so bring your best coffee, though K-cups also provided. This trip we were volunteering with Make-A-Wish Alabama on the Pinhoti trail and the home was only 5min to Adam's Gap and 10min to Turnipseed....close enough we didnt potty in the National forest, but instead ran back to the airbnb. ;) Great host & hostess on a stunning, well-preserved property.

This place felt homey. It kind of reminded me of going to my grandparent's lake house. The only down side was the Internet was slow, so I found it challenging to get work done. I appreciated the washer and dryer, as I always like to do laundry when I travel.
