The Water Street Lodge is a beautiful space with a stunning view of the Mississippi River. Sitting in the sauna while enjoying the calmness of the partially frozen river in winter was refreshing. The two balconies were nice as well as the porch. The kitchen area was spacious and the coffee area was well stocked with coffee and mugs. Thank you Laura for a wonderful vacation experience.

This was our second stay at Trout Creek Cabin and, once again, was completely amazing. There's nothing better when it comes to the location of this property, nestled in amongst the cliffs with the most beautiful scenery and wildlife. The cabin is always super clean and cozy with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Suzette and Andrew are kind and hospitable! LOVE this place...we will be back again and again. It's truly a slice of heaven.

We enjoyed the area. My kids loved the trains that went by. The river was truly peaceful. We also enjoyed the wildlife. It was our first time seeing bald eagles outside a zoo. Loved that Gabby recommend things to do in the area. Spook Cave was great! Would definitely come back!!

If you like the home away from home feel, this is the perfect spot! Cute and cozy cabin without the stuffy hotel feel. The surroundings are beautiful and the atmosphere is so peaceful. Gabby was a wonderful host. She provided all the necessary information up front and asked if we had any questions. Anytime I reached out, she responded almost instantly. I would absolutely recommend

Beautiful cabin on the Upper Iowa River. We enjoyed watching the squirrels and ducks around the property. The hot tub was perfect for soaking. The cabin was neat and tidy. We stopped by wings in dorchester for dinner one night. Spring Grove was about 20 minutes away, we recommend going to RockFilter Distillery and Fat Pat’s brewery for the pizza. If you are in Decorah then Mabe’s pizza has a half baked pizza as the cabin is nestled in bluffs away from most options. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway then we strongly recommend staying here.

The host, Chris, was AMAZING. He was very responsive to all messages and he responded very fast to any and all messages. The town and surrounding area was beautiful and I ended up falling in love with the area and the people in the area. The people at the grocery store were very nice and they made us feel very welcomed and it was easy for us to build a relationship with those in the town. The property was nice and fit the pictures. The only downside was that there isn't really a yard, but you really don't need one for all the other amenities provided.

omg this was the cutest little house and it was such a great getaway <3 lori and darci were so responsive and communicative and the location to town was great. i could’ve done without all of the hateful neighbors, but oh well. hot tub was perfection and the massage chair was such a fun bonus! def would stay again <3

We loved our trip, but he only small issue we had that we couldn’t figure out was on the very last night we lost wifi, but it made us truly disconnect so it was a blessing in disguise! We had such a great time in the hot tub, and the land is so beautiful and peaceful. We had such an amazing time there is nothing i would change!

Cool location. Plenty of options whether staying put or going into town. Can sleep plenty of people. Great stop for getting away from it all.

Absolutely loved the stay!! We had a big summer birthday bash with all of our friends! The house and location worked perfectly for all of us. The view in Lansing is stunning and there’s plenty of great fishing spots for all you fisherman out there! Thank you again for the stay!!

This wonderful bnb is on the street behind ours. We needed a place to stay while our floors were being redone. We grabbed our dogs and headed down the street. I love our neighborhood. It is so peaceful and private. We are an older couple, so we enjoyed resting and taking time for ourselves. My daughter and her family stayed there with their 2 dogs last summer for a week. They are from CA and loved every minute of it. It is their home away from home. MY cousins and their families stayed there last summer when they came to visit us from Fl and WI. We absolutely love this rental. The stunning view out the windows is breath-taking for us land-locked Iowans. Watching the eagles, barges, blue herons, fishing boats, fish jumping never grew old. The sturdy, safe dock is a wonderful place to spend time. Our daughter fished, I sat on the bench and read. So peaceful. We had an issue with the coffee maker. In fewer than 30 minutes, Jane brought another one for our use. She is great to respond to messages quickly, no waiting forever to hear from her. Such a considerate host. We were able to park our car in the garage which was a huge plus for me. The train track is pretty much in the front yard which is obvious from the pictures. The trains didn't bother us. Yes, they are somewhat loud, blow the whistle at Lansing, but we enjoyed watching them. The location was perfect for us to enjoy the surrounding towns and attractions. I would highly recommend Jane and her rental. I have nothing to complain about. Jane, thanks for your rental.

Wow! What an absolutely PERFECT space for our relaxing family get away. Clean, bright, and so peaceful! My wife loved cooking in the fully stocked kitchen, the teens enjoyed the gaming center, and the fire pit was a great space for us all to catch up. Even made a new friend- a friendly tabby cat we named “Meow”. Wouldn’t change a thing and we can’t wait for our next stay!

Great spot. Not far out of town and plenty of room. We had 4 adults, a baby and a dog and didn’t feel cramped at all! Elise was quick to respond with any questions we had. Would stay again.
