"De Serre" guesthouse

In beautiful Friesland is this beautiful house with great views. The Serre is a holiday home behind our house with a nice bright room which borders the large garden. Our dog, the goats (behind a fence) and the chickens and ducks also stay in this garden. Great nature reserves in this region invite for hiking and cycling. In addition, Leeuwarden and Dokkum are cozy cities nearby. The train station is a 10-minute walk from the house.

We had a great time, the accommodation matches the photos and description, a very nice tiny house, well-equipped. No problem for our dog either, he was comfortable. We didn't know this part of the Netherlands, but we'll be back, that's for sure!

Idyllic cottage by the river

We were there for an extended period of time. The location is fantastic, you can sit right by the water in sunshine and enjoy a coffee and watch the ships. The dog also felt comfortable and was able to run around freely. The back of the garden is fenced. The neighborhood is very nice and very helpful. Apart from a pizzeria and a grill snack bar, there is unfortunately no way to eat and drink somewhere in the evening, unless you drive 10 km further, but since we had a bicycle with us, (there are also two available there) that was no problem for us and you can find out in advance what you want to do in the area, or what is offered. As Simone has already described for 1.90 m tall people, like we are, it was a challenge upstairs, but we knew that before, because it was in the listing. All in all, a beautiful cottage, rustically furnished and in the kitchen everything is available and a very nice hostess.

I wanted a relaxing weekend in a special accommodation in nature. That's exactly what I got, between the cows and the pigs in a meadow, it was totally idyllic. From the terrace, you could enjoy the sunset in the evening. Everything you need is there and the place was totally cozy. It was very clean and even for cooking everything was there, shower and toilet is also very close. A supermarket is very close, in the beautiful village, various national parks and the way to the sea is also not far. Tim is very helpful and very friendly! I would come back again and again and definitely recommend it.

Treeske welcomed us warmly, everything was very uncomplicated and easy. The property has everything you need. It is clean and cozy. Plenty of towels and cleaning supplies are also available. We had a fantastic stay in Inge's spacious and fully equipped house. The large garden is truly fantastic! There is a folder in the house with information about what to do in the area. Bakker van Eck is recommended and is about two kilometers from the house. In Damwald, there is an indoor shopping center and a gas station. The area is great for walking and cycling. A real Frisian wide landscape. Thank you Inge for the bottle of wine upon arrival.
