We had a wonderful stay here and cannot wait to come back! Jennifer is amazing as a host, quick responses and so helpful. She gave us a list of things we could whilst we were there which was so helpful. The apartment is so cosy and was spotless when we arrived. The holiday village is fantastic for kids. The swimming pool is easy to book online and the playroom is great for the younger ones. The restaurant is a bit on the expensive side but we were able to cook in the apartment, each evening. The double air fryer was super handy! We loved this place and genuinely cannot wait for another visit.

Great place! The cottage is wonderful, everything is simple, natural and very nice. It was equipped with everything you need. Great place as a base for hiking, a big city with attractions is very close. Anne is a very warm person, always ready to help. Thank you for a very nice time spent here.

We had a wonderful week in this lovely cosy flat in the Lake District. We loved the decor and it was cosy and welcoming. The view from the living room window and balcony is amazing! We really appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and our kids loved the toys! We did several walks and runs straight from the front door, which was great. It was also very close to the centre of Ambleside so an easy 10-minute walk into town. A great place to stay and we'd definitely go again!

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at Michael’s place. Lovely scenery and close enough to drive to a lot of great places in the lake district. We had a very comfortable stay and everything was as described. We would definitely come back

Those flat is a real find- the most beautiful and peaceful surroundings, everything you need is within walking distance and the flat is well equipped. I feel properly relaxed after my stay. There are numerous walks starting from the door step and the views are amazing- even in the rain. Sally was really friendly and helpful . I hope to return one day.

This was a gorgeous stay! The place was so clean, perfect for me, my partner and our dog. Mark & Jilly were so friendly and provided everything we needed including milk & some dog treats! Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends & family. Thank you!

We had a really lovely stay. It was a quiet area, enclosed garden, great for dogs. Although I didn’t venture out, the location is close to town. The house was spotless, had everything you needed. When I asked questions Kev responded really fast. Would 100% recommend.

We only stayed for 1 night, wish it could have been longer, great place to explore the lakes and close to Ullswater.

Amazing 300+ years old Grade-2 listed house with fantastic feel still retained. On top Joyce and Lucy are amazing hosts. My 6 year old even struck up a great conversation with Lucy and they started playing a board game of sorts :-) They always kept us informed, and ensured the house is kept warm all time. Easily accessible to some local villages, the beach and also just half an hour away from the Lake districts. Only point I will make is if they can offer a small kitchen facility that will be great for families. Having said that -it wasn't a problem at all as beverage, cutlery and crockeries were all provided. Plus free milk, juice etc. And we actually enjoyed some wonderful takeaways who deliver within 30 mins. Jasmine Palace - the chinese was great.

Dougie was great. Came for a quiet birthday weekend with the girls and it was lovely and exactly what we needed. Plenty of room, super clean and very comfy beds - best nights sleep we’ve all had in years!! Heated bathroom flooring is a nice touch. Hot tub was very clean and easy to set up. Dougie is a fab host, very communicative and welcoming. Even kept an eye on the hot tub log burner for us while we went for a drink at the Gretna Inn so it was ready for our return!

Will definitely be staying here again, the family really enjoyed our stay. A short stroll to all amenities. Sara was a great host and responded quickly to any messages i sent.

A great accommodation for a family get together! Spacious, clean, so much storage space and an ideal location for a walk into town. The darts board was a hit and the views from the hot tub and top windows were beautiful. Wouldn’t hesitate to book here again. Thank you!

Lovely quiet location with great views of both the Solway Firth and the Mountains of the Lake District. The House was clean and cosy and we felt at home straight away. Our Host Claire was attentive and dealt promptly with our queries. Great communication throughout our stay. I Would highly recommend this place and will definitely look at going back.

This is a perfect house, made all the more perfect with the extra thoughtful touches (tea, coffee, milk, toiletries, extra towels, not forgetting bottle of prosecco and chocs). Just felt like a home from home the minute we walked in. Perfect location for the town, and Sainsbury's! Couldn't fault it. We wished we had booked a few extra nights! We will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Lovely location and a very well kept annex with everything we needed. Perfect for what we wanted! WiFi was a bit temperamental, but that's the countryside!! Would definitely be back!

A small but perfectly formed flat which was immediately welcoming and everything we hoped for. It was very clean with good heating, a nice hot shower, comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Excellent for a quiet stay and has decent Wi-Fi and TV if needed!

Fantastic property in a peaceful area of Portinscale ,easy walking distance into Keswick,the designated parking place was an added bonus. I’m a single traveller with no dogs,the apartment had no smell of dogs,no dog hairs and was spotlessly clean. The shower cubicle was a good size ,the shower was easy to operate either rainfall or normal shower head with great water pressure. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you would need to either make yourself a snack or to cook yourself a meal. The bed linen and towels were lovely and fresh and the bed was lovely and comfortable, overall the apartment was home from home. Did a number of walks on Saturday and Sunday,Derwent circular walk,Cat Bells and Latrigg,will definitely be returning to attempt Scafell and Skiddaw. Overall I would highly recommend this apartment

An Easter Break at The Beehive ,Grasmere. From clear communication & instruction, The Beehive was a perfect place to spend the Easter Break in the Lake District. Accurate description, spotlessly clean. Complimentary bottle of wine and a lovely fruit cake on arrival . The decor was lovely throughout & the apartment had everything we needed during our stay. The views from the communal garden space were lovely & an easy walk into Grasmere took us to some lovely eateries . Really enjoyed the Distillery & The Swan Hotel . Rather than use the car we hopped on & off the regular 555 & 599 buses to Ambleside, Keswick . They were so easy & cheap too. With a flexible check in & out and great communication we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will surely return . Thanks

Howe Tarn was such a beautiful place to stay- really peaceful and great location. Mark left the apartment very clean for us and emailed us a guide on what is nearby/ local recommendations which we used. This was really helpful. Great host and great communication. The only small negative was the shower which was not very powerful and not too hot! But other than this, Howe Tarn is a very beautiful place to stay and would recommend it to anyone😊.

We had a wonderful stay in the apartment. Very well equipped and great views of Ambleside from the living room and the Balcony. Bed was very comfortable. It was just a 5 minutes walk to shops and restaurants, but still away from the noise. Definitely recommended!

Beautiful apparent with lots of things to do aroud. Very clean and organised and a very friendly hoast. Spacious bathroom, well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Overall a beautiful weekend away.

This is such a lovely place, it felt like home from home, had everything we needed, clean and comfy. Such a beautiful area, lovely walks from the house, and Grasmere is lovely too. We will definitely be back.
