Excellent hosts therefore we had a wonderful stay at Driney House and hope to return. 😀 All the kids were so happy they could all bunk in together in the room with all the beds, like a proper sleepover, telling ghost stories with a torch. 👻 We stayed for three days and happily never left the grounds. It was so relaxing to take in the view while the kids had plenty of activities to keep them entertained, out in the fresh air getting plenty of exercise. They would have even slept on the trampoline!😀 The pool was a great hit, there is no deep end as such so it was great for the kids, and great to play volleyball. There were life vests available for use in a range of sizes for those that couldn’t swim. From the first contact the hosts were amazing, they were so helpful with a great generosity of spirit. A lovely family with a very special guest house. It’s like an activity centre with the most amazing views on the lake…..but the bonus is you have it all to yourself! 😀

Our stay at River Cottage felt less like checking into an Airbnb and more like stepping into Anna and Luke’s thoughtfully curated retreat. Nestled beside a usually gentle stream, the cottage offered a rare kind of quiet. We found ourselves unwinding in ways we hadn’t expected. As if the place itself were helping us silence the usual rush of thoughts. The sauna and cold plunge, discreetly positioned at the water’s edge, added a touch of simple luxury. They blended seamlessly into the natural surroundings rather than standing out as flashy extras, even when lit up at night. We explored the surrounding area by car and found Sligo to be the perfect complement to the cottage’s peaceful seclusion. My wife and I already feel drawn back to this little slice of Ireland - eager for another chance to recharge in the calm that Anna and Luke have created. We’re also looking forward to seeing their next ideas come to life.

Billy and Orla are the super host, very friendly behaviour and responsive all the time. Checkin was so smooth that I can’t expect this from anyone else. Billy was present to welcome us and gave a quick tour of his beautiful house. A complimentary basket with lot of goodies and wine was great gesture from his. I must say the African wine was so great. Very quiet and peaceful place and open swimming pool across the block as well as a great kids play area. If I’m going again Mayo, definitely it will be Billy’s place. I will highly recommend Billy house. Thanks for everything Billy and Órla.

Amazing house with everything that you could possibly want or need. Hot tub/spa was amazing and the view spectacular. Would highly recommend Ernie’s Den. A+++

We really enjoyed our stay at David's Holiday Home on the Kilronan Castle Estate. The location proved convenient for day trips to Co. Donegal, Co. Galway, and especially Co. Sligo (which was one of our favorites!). The unit had everything we needed for our family of 4 (including 2 teens) to spread out and enjoy, prepare meals, and even do laundry (we stayed there during the middle of a multi-week trip to UK & Ireland.) Everything was as described in the place- and, importantly, the beds were comfortable. My family enjoyed exploring the castle grounds, while I (Sean's wife) splurged for a wonderful massage and Thermal Suite at the Spa. Hubby & I also enjoyed a Guinness in the castle Dungeon Bar a couple of nights during our stay. Check-in & other instructions were clear and easy to follow. David was prompt in following up with any questions we had. We would happily stay again and/ or recommend to others.

If you want to see the countryside and meet the real people, the locals of Ireland and be surrounded by beauty, plants, gardens, cows, sheep, and friendly people. This is a place to stay. It’s in a beautiful area. I had the most peaceful relaxing week and Shannon’s home was beautiful.

We received a very warm welcoming upon arrival. Both are excellent hosts. The cottage is as described and well equipped. We did not miss a single thing. Happy to recommend the 'hare cottage'. You feel at home the moment you walk in.

Absolutely Amazing Stay – A Hidden Gem! Our experience at Cosy Cottage was truly unforgettable! The photos simply don’t do it justice—it’s one of the loveliest homes I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. We were absolutely blown away by how beautiful, spacious, and peaceful it was. We stayed as a group of 10 adults, 4 children, and 2 infants, and the house comfortably accommodated all of us. There was plenty of room for sleeping, cooking, dining, and relaxing together. The home was spotless, warm, and tastefully modern—ideal for a large group with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. The location was perfect, and Patricia was a wonderful host—so helpful, polite, and welcoming. She personally greeted us and provided clear, useful instructions to help us settle in easily, especially since we were coming from Cork.

Beautiful location with amazing views. stunning newly refurbished property with all modern amenities. Was like a home from home. Laura was always just a message away and quickly responds if needed. Couldn't ask for more. Will definitely stay here again.

I do a lot of evaluation work and was surprised to see a 5.0 rating with that many customers....however, the ratings were right. First of all, Michael did an amazing job in renovating his family home. So beautiful and classy. Next, the "goodies" that she has stocked in her home are beyond what I've ever seen in my many Airbnb stays. Anne was responsive to any questions that I pose and gave me the ability to rest. If you are in the area or traveling through - make sure to reserve this home. You'll not want to leave! Thank you Anne and Michael for providing this haven on my recent visit to your area.

An incredible place to stay with beautiful views and in a brilliant location - lots of different things within driving distance, and Steph was so helpful with recommendations! We had a really lovely time!

We loved our stay in Vincent’s cottage. It’s so cost and Vincent was such a nice man. He helped us with a special request. I’d recommend this lovely cottage to anyone. It’s so warm, clean and has everything you could want. 🥰

Hilary was very friendly and helpful, left us a BBQ to use for one of the evening. Clean and tidy house, tractor and dump truck toy there too so our little was delighted. Close enough drive to go visit places and near by town for any food shopping that might be needed. We would stay again.

After Lauren‘s warm welcome, we immediately felt at home in Lauren‘s beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean space. We loved the personal touches and how spacious it was; the outdoor space is a plus! Lauren was so helpful pointing us to amazing local places such as Austies, The Little Cottage Café and Le Fournil in nearby Sligo town. Lots of things to explore in the vicinity. We especially loved Rosses Point beach. It‘s walkable in about 25 mins but if, like us, you are traveling with a toddler and bring tons of stuff to the beach, it‘ll be easier to drive there (only a 3 minute drive). Would definitely recommend this place to friends and stay there again for our next visit to beautiful Sligo! Light sleepers like myself should know the blinds in the bedrooms are not black-out (but the beds are so comfy and cozy I actually still slept well!).

A beautiful place to stay at in the countryside! The Parlour was so cute and rustic inside and very comfortable. Ann was a responsive host and we took her recommendation for a nice walk along the nearby lanes. Altogether a lovely stay.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage. It was spotless, cozy, and even more spacious than the photos suggest. The bed was super comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, and I loved the proper strong hairdryer—ladies, you’ll get it! It was the perfect base for exploring County Mayo, with a lovely local pub just 5 minutes away. We’d happily recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

Fabulous stay. House was beautiful and had everything we wanted for our trip. Hot tub was a definite highlight. Very comfortable with spectacular views. House is down a narrow country lane so just be aware of that. Would recommend highly for a lovely relaxing stay.
