We stayed at Lucy’s gorgeous barn over New Year and had such a lovely time. The barn is so cozy and welcoming, looks even better than the photos. Everything was sparkling clean, a well stocked kitchen, comfy beds and fast wifi. Lucy was a perfect host, she offered us an early check in which was very much appreciated, provided excellent recommendations and even left us a bottle of Prosecco (which we drank at midnight) and dog treats for our pooches which was so sweet. Check in was super easy, the barn was easy to find, the location was lovely and peaceful. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a base to explore the Lake District.

We had the most wonderful few days away at The Old Smithy. Kay was a fantastic host, warm, welcoming, and attentive. We would absolutely stay here again. We’ll also be highly recommending this charming cottage to our friends and family. On our first evening, Kay greeted us personally, and shortly after, her lovely granddaughters enthusiastically introduced our son to all the animals on the property. It was such a thoughtful and heartwarming welcome. The cottage itself is absolutely stunning, beautifully maintained, full of character, and perfectly suited for a relaxing family getaway. We felt at ease from the moment we arrived.

Stunning scenery & beautiful barn We stayed for a wedding at Eden barn which was a 5 minute drive so absolutely perfect! Also took 2 dogs with us & the garden was very safe & enclosed for them to run around Cows came to look at us around the fence! Absolutely charming!
