Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Cuba

O Luis e sua família foram anfitriões sensacionais. Sempre muito amáveis e solícitos, minha irmã acabou ficando doente em um dos dias que estávamos nesse airbnb e eles nos ajudaram com medicamentos. O Luis também nos ajudou com transporte para outras cidades, o que foi de grande ajuda. O apartamento é muito limpo e confortável, além de ser super bem localizado, o terraço também é muito acolhedor e ótimo para passar o fim de tarde. Recomendo muito!

Eu e meus amigos ficamos três noites na casa de Isabel e a experiência foi ótima. Trinidad enfrenta apagões há anos e todos os dias ficamos ao menos 12 horas sem luz, mas Isabel disponibilizou o gerador para termos ao menos ventilador durante a noite e luz/tomadas para necessidades básicas como nos arrumar para sair, por exemplo. A conexão de internet é instável se muitos se conectam ao mesmo tempo, mas conseguimos usar ao menos mandar mensagens para comunicação. O quintal é maravilhoso, com cadeiras de descanso e uma grande árvore de manga e ela até nos emprestou um dominó para passar o tempo. A casa fica muito próxima ao centro da cidade e todos os dias conseguimos visitar os principais locais a pé. Ela conseguiu um táxi que nos levou de manhã e buscou a tarde na Praia Ancón por 25 dólares e também ofereceu outros passeios que não fizemos por conta da chuva. Se voltarmos a Trinidad, com certeza nos hospedaríamos novamente.

Very nice house. the owners are very friendly and helpful. they even put an extra fan in the bedroom without asking for it. the neighbours are family and also very helpful in case of problems. it is a nice quite neighourhoud, not far from the centre of the city. the shower is the best I have met in Cuba, with hot water and enough water coming out of the shower knob ! they also have two electricity circuits, which is very helpful when there is no electricity !! the only minus is that the wifi didn't work one day (apparantly it works through a telephone from another house and any time the electricity doesn't work - which is daily - they have to reboot the rooter of the wifi but since the people are working, this is not possible). Apart from that there is also a very bad connection in the house. for sending or receiving messages, you have to go outside across the corner ...

Anais y su marido son dos personas excelentes, siempre están atentos para hacernos sentir cómodos, y es un placer dialogar con ellos. Son dos bellísimas personas.

La casa, es tal cual las fotos. Con mucha comodidad. Lo que más disfrutamos fue el portal con los sillones. Me encantó que cada habitación tuviera su independencia, cada una con su baño. En la cocina no falta de nada, muy equipada. La playa caminando tres pasos. Había mucha tranquilidad en el barrio. Sin duda repetiremos

Séjour parfait chez Mileydis, avec son mari ils sont venus nous chercher à l’arrêt de bus, elle nous a donné toutes les infos nécessaires, toujours disponible et à l’écoute, super gentille et le logement était nickel. Je recommande ++ ainsi que les conseils et excursions proposées. Tout était nickel 😊

10/10 would stay here again! The casa itself is detached from the main house and very clean. It also has a private patio.The whole area suffers from electricity outages so the generators and solar are lifesavers. Location is perfect, easy access to the centre of town (less than 5 min walk), yet very quiet. Hostess is warm and congenial, provides helpful recommendations and contacts for various activities at fair prices. Currency exchange also available at fair rates. Cant wait to visit again!

Danay est une très bonne hôte, accueillante. Les chambres sont très propres, savon neuf, literie confortable, mini frigo très pratique. Le petit déjeuner est généreux, nous nous sommes régalés. Attention toutefois, l'annonce mentionne "logement entier" mais vous avez seulement les 3 chambres avec chacune entrée indépendante et salle de bain avec le même accès à la piscine et hamac que l'hôte qui vit elle dans la maison. Viñales est victime d'importantes coupure d'électricité mais l'hôte a des panneaux solaire donc frigo, ventilateur, prises en 110V, et lumières fonctionnent. Elle a branché la générateur le premier soir où il faisait très chaud pour avoir la climatisation. Il faut lui demander l'accès au WI-FI qui fonctionne avec les panneaux solaire également. Danay nous a aussi organisé l'excursion et trouvé un taxi jusqu'à Cayo Jutias. La casa est bien située car proche de l'avenue principale,restaurants, commerces, marché artisanal. Pas de parking mais stationnement facile.

We had an incredible stay at Issy’s place in Old Havana! From the moment we booked, she was so responsive and helped us plan our entire trip, making everything seamless. She even provided us with a local cell phone, which was a huge help while navigating Cuba. Issy went above and beyond in every way—she was fantastic with our kids, making them feel right at home, and her breakfasts were absolutely amazing. Every morning was a treat with fresh, delicious food to start the day. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, attentive host who truly cares about her guests, Issy is the one! We can’t recommend her place enough and would absolutely stay here again.

Nadat wij uit Maguana kwamen en in deze b&b verbleven was het contrast tussen beide al groot. Baracoa is heel arm, Santiago heeft weer meer te bieden. We hadden een goede kamer, lieve gezellige mensen die ook tips gaven over de omgeving, we zijn naar El Morro (restaurant) geweest, mooie plek om te eten, artiesten lopen daar waar je kunst van kan kopen. Er zijn wel meer geluiden van honden die blaffen of mensen die aan het werk zijn, als je erg gevoelig bent voor geluid zijn oordopjes misschien een idee tijdens het slapen. Heerlijk avond eten gegeten, lekker gekookt en nog een kleine kookles gekregen met bakbanaan.

El lugar es hermoso, tal como se ve en las fotos, o mejor aun! Está a una distancia perfecta de la playa; lo suficientemente alejado como para ser un lugar super tranquilo, y lo suficientemente cerca como para ir caminando a la playa (15 minutos o menos). El lugar es tan lindo y cómodo que hasta se hace difícil querer salir de allí para irse a la playa! :-) El personal no puede ser más amable! Destaco a Made, una genia, que me ayudó en todo momento y se preocupó para que tenga todo lo que necesitaba y más. El único punto quizás algo débil es que no hay muchos restaurantes por la zona, salvo por unos ranchones en la playa que cierran luego de las 6pm, y unos puestos de pollo asado también en la playa que quedan hasta las 8pm o 9pm, aprox. Pero de todas maneras en la casa ofrecen comida muy rica (aunque yo sólo probé los sandwiches de pollo, que estaban muy bien por el precio!). En resumen, si estás buscando relajarte en un lugar muy lindo y tener una playa cerca, este es tu lugar!

Todo muy bien, muy tranquilo y con una vista inigualable, ideal para descansar y estar muy tranquilo, Mary y las personas que asisten muy amables y te ayudan a resolver todo, cuidando la privacidad y seguridad en todo momento, completamente recomendable.

Difícil encontrar palavras para descrever a hospitalidade de Luci e Jorge, que nos receberam. Nos deram muitas dicas, nos explicaram quais eram os lugares mais interessantes e como chegar, nos ajudaram com tudo o que precisamos e providenciaram um ótimo passeio a El Nicho. Foram ótimos e fizeram com que amássemos a cidade ainda mais. O café da manhã é farto e delicioso. Pode faltar luz em Cienfuegos durante algumas horas do dia, mas eles possuem um gerador, que assegura o funcionamento do ventilador, aliviando muito o calor, e permite carregar celulares; e luzes recarregáveis, de modo que tudo fica bem mesmo na falta de luz. A cama é muito confortável e o chuveiro é bom. A casa fica bem na esquina do Malecón, dá para ver o mar da varanda, que é muito agradável. Fica a uns dez minutos de caminhada da praça principal e do Boulevard. Uma ótima localização.

I had a wonderful stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything I needed. Janhna was responsive and kind, making check-in and check-out super easy. The location was perfect, and I felt right at home. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Mabel segített minket mindenben, ellátott hasznos tanácsokkal. Későn indult haza a repülőnk, mivel nem érkezett közvetlenül utánunk senki, így a kicsekkolás helyett használhattuk még a szobákat a csomagjaink megőrzésére. Plusz pont, hogy nem volt a szállához reggelink, érkezéskor jeleztem, hogy szeretnénk, és megoldottak nelünk mindent. Mindenkinek ajánlom ezt a szálláshelyet, közel a központhoz.

Jose Luis et La China sont des hôtes merveilleux qui habitent un petit coin de paradis caché et préservé. Ils ont été attentifs à nos besoins et nous ont simplifié les démarches pour découvrir leur magnifique région : escapade à cheval, baignade au fond d’une grotte, dégustation de miel et rhum au milieu des champs de tabac, visite du séchoir de tabac de Jose Luis, qui nous a également fait une démonstration de roulage de ses fameux cigares ! La maison d’hôtes est authentique, et offre tout le confort et l’intimité nécessaires. La China veille à servir aux visiteurs gourmands de copieux pdj et repas. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour, entourés de tous les animaux de la ferme, au cœur de paysages magnifiques, une découverte authentique de la vie rurale cubaine vécue au rythme du soleil et du chant des coqs! Nous y retournerons dès que possible avec une immense impatience!

The house and staff are awesome. Gabriel and Suzette make everything easy and comfortable and helped us feel right at home in Cuba. The house was built in 1915. It's basically the second floor of a mansion with the front door on the ground floor where security is always there. The ceilings are about 15' high with lots of mouldings and drapes with giant tassles etc. The roof deck was a really nice place to hang out in the evenings and take in the surroundings. It's close to restaurants and the oceanfront sidewalk that runs the length of Havana.

Want to thank the hosts and staffs Tami, Tay, Maria and Betico for all the help and making us feel so comfortable and welcoming. Tay for helping with money exchange, WiFi, recommendations for places to eat, places to visit and all the informations. Most importantly taxi to and from airport. Maria for shopping and making us breakfast days we needed and asked for. Betico for bringing our heavy luggages up to our apt at arrival and down when we left. Thank you also to the staffs family Sonia, Junior and Magdolis, feasting, eating, drinking and dancing with us one night as we hosted lunch/dinner and them cleaning up the house after. It was so great meeting you all, getting to know you and feel like La Familia during our stay. Everyone in the neighborhood we’ve met, talk to too, we hope you use and enjoy the gifts, meals, spices, medicines and more. Bij aankomst was de host Elena aanwezig, gaf een aantal restaurant tips en de wifi gegevens. Het appartement ligt in een rustige straat op slechts een paar minuten lopen afstand van verschillende bezienswaardigheden, denk aan de Havana Club Rum Distilleerderij en de Artisan Market. Ook de (bijna) gratis ferry naar het Ford is dichtbij, houd er wel rekening mee dat deze na 21.00 niet meer vaart. Mocht je de dagelijkse Kanon ceremonie willen bijwonen regel de vooraf de terugreis. Verder hebben wij direct contact opgenomen met de door Elena aanbevolen gids. Deze vriendelijke en slimme jongeman, Chris(tian) heeft ons in slechts een paar uurtjes tijd de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden met de bijbehorende verhalen verteld. Naast zijn kennis heeft hij ook een goed netwerk om zich heen, oa chauffeurs van Classic cars. Al met al zijn zowel het appartement maar ook de gids een echte aanrader!. Elena, bedankt voor de goede zorgen. Tot de volgende keer!

Mateo não vive em Cuba, mas desde o começo foi proativo na comunicação. Ele também indicou Yoandy e Karol, casal extremamente simpático que vive no apartamento no andar de baixo do airbnb e nos ajuda com o que precisarmos. Indicaram táxi para nos buscar no aeroporto, fizeram câmbio de pesos cubanos (em uma taxa 340/dólar), deram recomendações de onde comer na região, onde comprar água e ainda ajudaram com um problema na descarga de um dos banheiros que tivemos. Eles fizeram toda a diferença na experiência. O apartamento cumpre com a descrição e está em um lugar estratégico em Habana Vieja, pudemos ir a pé aos principais pontos sem gastar muitos minutos. As ruas de todo o bairro são escuras à noite, mas não nos sentimentos inseguros ao andar em grupo. O wi-fi funcionou todos os dias e nos disseram que o apartamento fica em uma parte de Havana que não tem apagões nunca.
