Lorgba Caravan

JohnRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We only had two nights on Islay, and this place was a fantastic location. Easy walk to a great distillery with friendly staff, and into Port Charlotte for food and a trad session at the hotel! There’s also a small shop for necessities, and the kitchen at the caravan was a great spot for preparing one of our meals. We did have a car, and the location made for a great base to explore the island and be able to return to a quiet spot. Kelly is a great host with quick response and excellent information. Already missing it!
The kitchen features light wooden cabinetry and a polished countertop. Appliances including a toaster, kettle, and microwave are visible. Kitchen utensils are organized within a holder, and an oven is integrated into the space. Natural light enters through a window adorned with a dark blind.

The cottage is such a peaceful and place to stay. We were able to walk to/from Bowmore (1.5 mile beautiful walk) and to and from the beach (1.8 miles and again, stunning). Really clean and calm- a perfect get a way!
Two vehicles are parked on a grassy expanse, with a backdrop of rolling fields and distant coastline. The scene captures a blend of natural greenery and the varied hues of the landscape under a cloudy sky.

Dha Urlar Cabin

This was a fantastic spot to stay! Walking distance to Bowmore, beautiful scenery, a short drive to all the distilleries, and a fantastic host. Jim went above and beyond for us while we were staying there. His taxi service was amazing, and he provided us with some very fun tidbits about the island. I wish I could give this experience 6 stars.

We had a pleasant time in this place with my family. There were 6 of us and had plenty of room to live during these 3 days. Laurie gave us good advice on activities or restaurants to do nearby. I highly recommend this reservation.
