JC’s Place was clean, cozy, and ideally located for exploring Acadia and Bar Harbor. Quiet, comfortable, and surrounded by nature—it was the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Mount Desert Island!

I wrote this while on GCI! Enjoy! The Winds changed without a word. The Wind changed and so did the temperature down seven degrees. It had been so quiet. It had taken a little time to get used to the silence once we arrived on the island. Eventually the silence was replaced by a constant easterly wind as the September temperature reminded me that summer here was wanning. Fall begins today, right on que and even though I felt in isolation I did not feel alone, as the winds, for sure, were making sounds like peoples chatter and for a moment I had to turn my head and listen to make sense of the mystery and the wonder I've experienced through mother nature. A perfect spot just outside of Acadia. Nestled on a private road that is beautiful also! Immaculately clean and very responsive host. My only issues was the beds- for me they were not comfortable but I prefer a firm bed. I definitely would come back here when visiting Acadia again.
