If you've missed the ferry or you've been washed out of your tent then our Shepherd's Hut would be perfect for you. It has a chemical-loo and a small wood burning stove for heat. A double bed, storage, chair, picnic table, and we can provide water and a jet boil to make coffee. Please bring camping gear for cooking.

The cottage is within walking distance of local shops, pubs and restaurants and near to the distillery path taking you to Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg.

Dunans Cottage is situated in the beautiful Knapdale Forest 1.9 miles from Cairnbaan within a National Scenic Area. The views are fantastic! The Cottage is off the beaten track but within a traditional farming hamlet with access via a forestry track ( see illustrated map ). Many outdoor and indoor activities are available within the area but the peace and quiet at Dunans are unique.
