Cottage vacation rentals in County Down

We had a beautiful stay at Seaview Cottage. Niall was there to greet us on arrival and show us around. The attention to detail and little touches made us feel so welcome along with the friendly host and unbelievable views made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. We highly recommend staying at Niall and Janeen’s cottage, thank you both very much for having us!

We are just back from a lovely, relaxing few days away at the cottage and we are already wanting to go back! Beautiful location, so peaceful and the cottage itself was just out of this world and of course not forgetting the amazing hot tub! We can’t wait to plan our next stay soon at the cottage. We even got to bring along our dogs who had so much fun. Big thank you to Glenn who made sure everything was perfect for our stay and was always there if we needed anything. The place was lovely, lovely host, very passionate about his accomodation. The place was clean, confortable, private in beautiful surroundings and the list goes on. The family is very responsive and helful. We will defenetly be coming back.

Really lovely cottage with spectacular views in a very tranquil setting. Jackie was super responsive and the cottage had everything you could need.

We were delighted by our time in Tosses Cottage. It was a beautiful place to stay in the glorious rolling hills and countryside. The hot tub was an extra special treat. Colleen was very responsive and helpful in all communications and everything was as she said it would be.

An excellent cottage and location for a family get-away. The cottage has a wonderful view and all of the comforts necessary for a restful break. For us, the hot-tub really made the place stand out.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. The hot tub was amazing and the surrounding countryside was gorgeous- special shoutout to the donkeys! Steph & Michael were wonderful hosts and super helpful. We had lovely trips to Tollymore Forest Park & Carlingford which were both easy to reach. All in all very highly recommended :)

This was just what we needed. It was complete peace and quiet with beautiful stars. My whole family felt refreshed and we all had a lovely time.

It was a very nice place with a great central location for travelling to various points of interest, making our trip much more enjoyable. The cottage was well appointed, with as described facilities, so there were no bathroom queues in the morning! Heating was easy to use, with intuitive controls (there was a fire too, but we were out most of the day, so decided to play it safe). WiFi was great too. We would love to return to this lovely place in the future.

Adrain's house was very comfortable and we really enjoyed having the cows and sheep outside our windows. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

A lovely presented cottage in the countryside. Great for a holiday when you want to be outside the cities and towns. There are great places to visit from this area both locally and further afield. There are historical areas of interest, beautiful countryside, and even a local micro brewery. If you love poetry visit the Kavanagh centre in Inniskeen. You do need a car to get around but it is worth the effort to get aquainted with the area especially the towns, restaurants and the lovely tea shops. Highly recommended.

Lovely spot and very clean. We enjoyed a relaxing stay. Great shower and bath and full kitchen. We appreciated the tea, coffee, oil etc to feel at home. We couldn't use the fire as couldn't find any logs. Also ran out of toilet paper and didn't seem to be any spare! We had to buy our own powder for the washing machine which is fine but would have been great to know in advance!

We had a great stay at Jane's place while attending a wedding locally. The location is great, so quiet and restful - and everyone (but especially the crawling baby!) loved the big enclosed garden. The house is really well-equipped and Jane was super-helpful with advice and recommendations, and super-responsive in sorting out the couple of issues/any questions we had. having the beach so close was a real treat and the walk down it to the iconic Cable Bar was so scenic and enjoyable, especially with a pint of Guinness waiting at the other end. Great stay - would recommend.

So incredibly beautiful, miss the mountain and sea views from kitchen sink and front of house respectively already!! Wish we were back there, and will try get another weekend booked asap!! Thank you for everything provided, such high spec! And we were even blessed with a NI heatwave to sunbathe!!

A charming little gem in the heart of Hillsborough! No. 3 Arthur Street Cottage is cosy, well-appointed, and full of character. The space was spotless and thoughtfully decorated, making it a perfect spot to unwind. What really stood out was the warm welcome—there were cakes, bottled water, midnight snacks, and even a lovely bottle of wine waiting . Such a considerate and personal touch! Just a short stroll from the village shops and cafes, yet tucked away enough for peace and quiet. A truly delightful stay.

we spend a wonderful week in Anne's cottage despite the weather did not want to please us all times. However, even on the wirst days we enjoyed the cottage before we could get out again into the great nature. Everything you need for a good holiday is in the cottage, very offen more than you need or wish. But the very best is Anne's friendly advice and help whenever you need. Particular her friendlyness makes you feel at home immediately. Whenever we will be back in this area we will try to stay with Anne.

Just back from a weeks stay at Brambles cottage. What can we say apart from it was fantastic. So very peaceful,beautiful scenery and LOADS of great places to walk from the door step. We brought our dog Boycee and he throughly enjoyed himself also. The garden was 100% secure so we could just relax and let Boycee run around and play freely. We would most definitely love to go back if welcomed. Thank you to Karen and Alistar. Nothing was a problem

We had a lovely stay at Orla‘s house, the house is not a typical Airbnb rental. It has comfortable Furniture and plenty of amenities. You can tell it is her holiday home. We were very comfortable there and it is so close to everything with fabulous views. Would highly recommend.

Paula is truly the perfect host; friendly, helpful, proactive and quick to respond to any questions. The cottage is so much more than the listing implies; it's a gorgeous home, peaceful and relaxing, with all modern amenities, and impeccably clean. The location was just the right combination of private and in the country, while nearby to shops and restaurants. And an excellent central spot to explore the wonders of the north of Ireland. If you're lucky enough that Paula's place is available, don't hesitate to book. I look forward to returning on my next trip to Ireland.

Marina’s place is a lovely home away from home. It’s peaceful and a short drive from some lovely walks & forest parks. Marina’s communication was great and I was treated to a lovely fresh scone when I arrived. Thanks Marina! Would highly recommend.

Nicola was our favorite host. She left us some amazing goodies including some farm fresh eggs! She also had ice! That was hard to come by in our other air bnb’s. Us Americans appreciated it so much! Super cute and modern cottage. Super clean and organized. I highly recommend this home!!
