Apartment vacation rentals in County Donegal

The ground floor apartment is spacious and clean, with all required amenities except hot water for washing dishes and heating. Not a problem for me (there is a kettle for heating water for dishes and a convector heater for getting warm after getting soaked in rain) but if you come from the tropics you may find it too cold. The shower has hot water luckily. The location is superb for walking the Turas Ghleann Cholm Cille as it is right besides station 10, 11 and 12 so a good start for the walk. Also, the main village with restaurants and pubs, Oideas Gael, and the folklore museum are all within a good walk's distance. Some complimentary items were left in the fridge. Views from the living room cum kitchen are superb.

We had a lovely stay, the apartment was pristine and the view made for such a relaxing environment. Spacious with all mod cons. Great tv and recliner chairs! Good location for exploring the local area. Gareth gave great recommendations and was very easy to deal with. Thank you!

Trishas lejlighed er hyggelig og meget centralt beliggende i Ballyshannon. Trisha er en meget sød, betænksom og hjælpsom vært. Der var sørget for hjemmebagt brød og smør ved vores ankomst, der var snacks, juice på køl og fri kaffe. Hun klar med gode råd omkring restauranter, aktiviteter m.v i området og hurtig til at svare, hvis vi havde spørgsmål.

This place suited our needs perfectly. Donegal town itself is a beautiful place with lots of good pubs and restaurants and plenty to do. We also used it as a base to explore the incredible Donegal countryside. I think this rates as one of the top places we have stayed on AirBnb.

This property is in a peaceful location. I had previously had a friend and family member recommend this lodge. During Covid I stayed in another property Marie rents out. Being on holiday and catching Covid was made more bearable by Marie's husband regularly checking I was comfortable. I have enjoyed my stays at Marie's properties and was reluctant to leave behind the excellent interior decor of the lodge. The double bed was so cosy and comfortable. If you want to relax and chill out this is the place to stay in Dungloe. Hotels, restaurants and shopping are within a mile's distance. Outdoor activities can be arranged by Marie. The lodge is convenient for visiting surrounding attractions in County Donegal. Don't miss a visit to Wild Ireland"s Animal Sanctuary, The River Walk in Dungloe holds some surprising spots to enjoy. Who could resist waking up to the lakeside views of Marie's gorgeous lodge? Not me. Book now before the diary is full.

Eunan & Michelle's house is beautiful. It was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. They were great hosts, very friendly and helpful, leaving out essential items that were much appreciated as we arrived late in the evening.

The apartment was beautiful and we would recommend staying here. It was really light and airy, and the place was decorated really nicely. It has all the amenities you could want. It was nice and clean too. Christina even let us check in early. The apartment is situated near Malin Head and Five Finger Strand beach in Lagg, which are both really nice areas to visit! Perfect for a relaxing getaway.

An amazing stay and free parking in front of the house

The place is really nice, modern and clean. It does overlook a bay and the scenery is very beautiful. Sharon and James are really nice people-they were responsive when we had an issue. Donegal is a big county and we only stayed 2 days so we were limited with places we could visit. They also have a miniature horse ‘Poppy’ that was very friendly- my family enjoyed the stay and would go back if given the chance in the future.

The place is great, in such a beautiful part of the world. I arrived on public transport and they offered lifts so I could explore more parts of beautiful Donegal. Heaps of local recommendations. So nice to see the mountains from the window.

We had a fantastic time staying at Shelia's place (The Snug). Situated in the quiet village of Dunkineely located between Donegal Town and Killybegs, the accommodation is the ideal base to explore this part of Donegal. The enclosed large garden, which has a wonderful view over the bay, was perfect for our dog Molly. The people of the village were very friendly, there is a Mace 1 min walk away should you need anything and you'll receive a warm welcome (dogs too !!) in Macs Bar if you fancy a pint. We didn't need to contact the host during our stay as we had no problems and everything about the place was perfect. My only complaint is we didn't stay longer. We plan to make a return visit.

Outstanding view from the living room window, so modern, clean and spacious. Walking distance to the town and right facing the funfair and beach, the apartment was overall beautiful so clean and fresh, Ian was a lovely host and very easy to communicate with. Will definitely be recommending to others and will 100% be back thank you Ian for a wonderful stay!

The accommodation was well out and very clean. Lovely sea view from the kitchen window. The hosts were friendly helpful and responsive. The area was very interesting to explore, lots of nice walks/ hikes and beaches. It felt peaceful and safe. Added bonuses - we heard the cuckoo on the Inishowen loop head walk, and had a super day in Derry city, which is only 40 mins by bus from Carndonagh.

We were warmly welcomed by Cathal and he gave us many recommendations for activities in the surrounding area. The apartment was cozily furnished and the fireplace warmed it up quickly (additionally there was electric heating in every room). A lot of amenities were offered so that all in all we had a very nice stay there and can heartily recommend it.

Great place to stay. Away from everything but close enough to towns. Nice touch of milk/tea/coffee left fur us. Recommended

Lovely and quiet stay. Caroline welcomed us and made us feel comfortable right away. She gave us great suggestions on where to eat and what to do in the area. Highly recommend staying here.
