The Place, Loweswater. Utter tranquillity.

ElizabethRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at The Place. The location is breathtaking, and the house itself is perfect - every detail is beautiful and well thought-out, and Lucy had provided anything one could think of. Everything was of very high quality, from the bed linen and towels to the kitchen equipment. We were all adults, but if you have children, there are lots of toys, games, and activities, so that even on rainy days, there is plenty to do. Great walks nearby, perfect both for those who like hills and those who prefer flatter ground - Buttermere and Crummock are wonderful low ground walks, and of course the walk though Holme Woods to the Kirkstile is lovely. Thanks, Lucy and Nick!

The Chalet

LukeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Me and 3 other friends stayed in this Airbnb and it was exceptional. Surrounding neighbours were very friendly, scenery was beautiful (including our drive to the location) and the host were very proactive with responses and also giving extra information on finding the location throughout the weeks prior. Only criticism was we noticed there weren’t quite enough toiletries or washing supplies provided for our stay, though we understand this may have been due to the longer duration of our visit then usual. Apart from that the place is very cozy and friendly, and hope to book with these hosts again in the future!

We had a blast staying at Joyce's place. She is such a good host, really warm and welcoming. She had wonderful suggestions for places to visit and is always open for a conversation. The property is incredible! Absolutely loved the stay and will recommend this one!!

Starling View, Ennerdale

An absolutely beautiful area with a lovely accommodation to stay in. Really makes you feel like your one with nature. Not far at all from lots of very notorious and amazing walks/ hikes, hosts are lovely people and the farm animals are lovely neighbours to wake up to! I would definitely recommend if looking to stay in the area for whatever reason and I would stay here again.

Little yurt

RhiannaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Staying in this yurt was possibly the best part of mine and my friends trip! Perfect spot after a wet and windy hike up Scafell and very close by. Super cosy with more than enough essentials. Managed to cook ourself Carbonara with the kitchen supplies provided. The bedding was super comfy and more than enough to keep warm throughout the night, topped off with hot water bottles. Log burner was easy to light with the fire starters and wood provided. Couldn't resist treating ourselves to toasted marshmallows. Sadly we didn't get to meet Clare due to everything we had planned on the day and the following day, and getting to the yurt pretty late. But going by our communication, Clare was lovely, super welcoming and very helpful. Thank you for our stay, I will definitely be back 🤍
