Cobble Cottage was all we had hoped for and more. With a stunning, peaceful setting overlooking the river it also has absolutely everything we could need inside the cottage too. The decor is immediately relaxing, everything works effortlessly, and there wasn't a thing we needed that wasn't already provided. Every question was answered in a comprehensive folder but it's such an easy place to stay that we didn't really need to look at it. Debbie is a thoughtful and proactive host. We enjoy privacy so were delighted with the early and effective instructions on how to get to the cottage and the lockbox arrangement to gain entry. She is available but we didn't need her to solve any problems or answer any questions so felt the place was our own for the few days we stayed there. The village has a friendly pub and restaurant and a charming local store that provided us with the few bits we needed including fabulous homemade Cornish pasties! We will definitely return to Cobble Cottage.

We had a wonderful stay at Talland Cliff side beach house, we stayed for two nights with our two children and Labrador, the property was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed plus a few extra touches that added to our enjoyment, the family games and the hammock were a favourite for the children and sauna was an added luxury for us :) but without a doubt sitting on the decking and watching the sea was the most relaxing and wonderful thing for us to do! The beach is 5 minutes walk down the cliff side not too difficult but the climb back up may take a little longer but absolutely worth it for the trip down to the beach, there are a couple of coastal paths within a couple of miles of the property and a couple of small eateries close by for lunch with a view. We had a great stay at Joanna’s place. The views were great and the hot tub was lovely. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Joanna was a wonderful host, we would definitely recommend this place!

Pentye was exactly as described, in a beautiful location and with plenty to do in the local vicinity. Perfect for a short stay. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the design of the accommodation although it did take us a little while to get used to the spiral staircase. The local walks are inspiring, especially the circular walk to St Winnow. National Trust properties are not far away and Lanhydrock is an absolute gem. A trip to Fowey, via the Bodinnick Ferry, is well worth taking time to visit. Much has been mentioned in other reviews about the tides; high tides were 5.1m when we visited and it was safe to say that access to and from the accommodation was fine. We stayed 'off peak' and locals suggested that as the season gets busier the tranquility suffers; a consequence of the attractiveness and beauty of the surroundings? Our only negative comment is that the local pubs beer garden is close to the bedroom windows and may be a disturbance for some in the late evening.

We love this place and this was our second stay. It’s super well equipped, clean, cosy, charming and the beds are super comfy. We will be coming back again.

This place is BEAUTIFUL! Pia is a wonderful host, friendly and knowledgeable, and she left a laminated sheet with lots of recommendations for things to do in the local area which was very handy. Loved the Llamas, and Lily the dog, and seeing chickens walk past our window in the morning was great. Would definitely stay again, thank you for making our holiday even better ❤️

We are just home, recharged from an idyllic weekend break in the workshop. A beautiful property, secluded and tranquil, set in such peaceful grounds. It has everything you need – we loved the attention to detail in the property, as well as the outside area for coffee or lunch. There’s so much to do nearby. Our favourite was the walk to Polruan (we can recommend the Lugger Inn for drinks and Sunday lunch) and Fowey (Hall Walk is a must). Lots of lovely National Trust locations nearby – beaches (Lantic Bay is dramatic, just be prepared for the walk down!) and houses; Lanhydrock (including for parkrun) and Saltram. We will absolutely be back! Thank you, Charlotte, for being such a fabulous host!

Beautiful cottage in a peaceful location , 2nd visit here and I never want to leave. Comfortable relaxed with lovely farmhouse kitchen and cosy lounge with big log burner , plenty of logs to keep you going. The beds are comfy with snuggly quilts and pillows. Communication is great with the hosts and very helpful , I’m still confused with regards to the hob as its induction and some pans work and some dont , maybe instructions would be helpful for that , also maybe some trivets to save the work surfaces. Will definitely return as I love the area and cottage and feel totally relaxed and at home here. E
