Cheerful and cosy two bedroom cottage

EmmaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a very relaxing time at the beautiful, peaceful cottage. The location was just what we needed, lots of lovely walks and plenty of time to explore the area. The cottage was much bigger than we expected and was well equipped with all we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and tidy. The outside space was fantastic for our dog, completely secure and private. Plenty of areas to relax and read a book. This was just the kind of holiday we needed. Thank you Suzanne and Ross for being wonderful hosts! We will definitely be returning.

A studio flat in a glorious rural location

NicolaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
There is something quite magical about Thelma’s cosy retreat. On arrival I was immediately enveloped by an almost soporific sense of calm and peace. Thelma and George are extremely kind and generous hosts, and they put a lot of thought and energy into creating a wonderfully comfortable home-away-from-home. Thelma provides lots of little touches to make you feel welcome, including a starter pack of fresh bread, farm eggs, butter, milk, biscuits and orange juice. The terrace has a stunning view over rolling hills and fields of cows, and waking up every morning to the sound of birdlife all around is simply glorious. I was staying with my dogs and they adored the freedom of the private enclosed garden and orchard. Every day posed a dilemma - whether to go out exploring or stay in and enjoy the oasis. It is the perfect place for a relaxing break away from the stresses of normal life. The dogs and I loved every minute and will definitely be back.

We love this place! Just what we needed who are all from London. We love the tranquillity of the place. The cottage is perfect for families! We love the fact that it has a big kitchen and a nice and cosy living room! Kids enjoyed the garden and the hot tub! It's not a bad drive to Sidmouth - which was recommended by the host to visit!

High spec and homely. Very responsive and friendly hosts - went above and beyond. Lovely village with great community dining pub (King’s Arms). Very well located for trips to Topsham, Sidmouth, Beer, Lyme Regis, Golden Cap, Forde Abbey etc. Just an absolute pleasure.

relax and unwind in beautiful Devon countryside

Although it is at a working farm it is still a quiet relaxing place to stay. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed garden and the patio doors that he could go in and out of. We enjoyed the ice cream parlour 5 min away.

Wonderful place to stay. Useful to know that the road from the high street is very narrow and challenging for large cars.
