Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Costa Occidental

We had a lovely stay at Casa Bonita, wonderful space and features, well equipped, comfortable beds. We enjoyed the outside eating area and terraces, once the weather improved. It was our first visit to Olhao and the eastern algarve. The Casa is within easy walking distance to the superb fish and fresh produce markets, ferries, restaurants and bars. We caught the ferry to Armona once and Farol twice and ate at the hosts recommended places, particularly loved the beach bar Maramais. We hired bikes from Cool Bike rentals and cycled the path to Fuseta and back, really enjoyed cycling through the salt pans and seeing all the bird life and wildflowers. Definitely hope to return.

Wow, det här boendet är verkligen 5/5 och helt enligt förväntningarna. Och Paulo som värd var helt OTROLIG. Det ska ändå sägas att vi inte var dom bästa hyresgästerna: vi råkade sätta igång larmet åtskilliga gånger av misstag men Paulo hjälpte oss snabbt och trevlig varenda gång. Vi hade också oturen att uppleva ett åskoväder med en blixt som slog ner precis vid oss vilket gjorde att all el försvann. Trots att klockan var 23.00 en lördag så skickade Paolo en elektriker som kom och fixade elen. Jag skulle boka det här boendet igen bara för att få ha Paolo som värd - han gjorde att vi kände oss trygga hela vistelsen. Tusen tack för allt!

Maison de ville très agréable dans un joli village en bord de fleuve. Propreté impeccable. Seul petit regret : un lit plus grand aurait été un vrai plus (140x200, c’est un peu juste)

We had a wonderful stay at José’s beautiful home! The location is perfect, offering stunning views, and the house is equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was very peaceful and quiet, the only thing you will hear is bird chirping and the sound of the wind. José was a thoughtful host, providing a crib for our baby girl, which we greatly appreciated. Our family especially loved spending time in the yard by the pool—it was such a serene setting. We were all sad to leave and can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for a place to completely unwind, enjoy the gorgeous weather of southern Portugal, don’t hesitate to book this place! You won’t regret it!

Vielen Dank an unsere Gastgeber! Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche im Haus von Filipa und Paulo. Wir waren als kleine Familie zu Besuch und empfehlen es jedem weiter. Unser Baby hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt und hatte viel zu erkunden im Haus. Für uns erwachsene war es schön Abends in der ruhigen Gegen zusammenzusitzen und den Tag ausklingen zu lassen.

David and Megan's spacious townhouse was in a perfect spot to be near everything, but not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. They offered some nice extras that don't seem to be part of the AirBnB experience anymore, like milk, juice and coffee to start off your vacation. David even picked us up at the train station and drove us to the townhouse. We were impressed with their quick response when we had a question. Although we didn't take advantage of the service, they offered to be of assistance with providing ideas for excursions and things to do in the area.

Great place, very very spacious with 4 bathrooms, 3 double bedroom massive living room, double balcony on the first floor , good for sun bathing . We ware there in April , the weather was not quite appropiate for the beach , and we spent lots of time on the balcony. In the morning you have sun on one side , in the afternoon sun moves on the other side. It was 3 of us , but I think the place can take 6 people without any problems. Its a great spot , walking distance from restaurants / beach and taxi its super cheap , not worth renting car go Uber/Bolt. Not sure if i read the specs good, I was expecting the swimming pool to be part of the property , at least from the pictures , but its a separate facility just accross the road. When we ware there was not ready for use . Overall I would choose it anytime vs a hotel due to the space that comes with it .

Wir hatten als dreiköpfige Familie eine sehr schöne Woche in Casa Regina, Wohnung 2. Wir konnten auf der großen Terrasse angenehm sitzen. Die Küche war mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Pool und Garten konnten wir schön nutzen. Waschmaschine super. Andrew und seine Mutter Lurdes waren sehr reaktionsschnell und kommunikativ. Bei Problemen mit der Dusche wurde schnell reagiert und es gab als kleine Entschädigung Kekse und Wein. Bei der Buchung weist Andrew auch darauf hin, dass es eine ruhige Wohneinheit ist. Es ist tatsächlich wichtig, dies zu berücksichtigen, da die Wohnungen recht eng aneinander liegen. Wohnung 3 grenzt an das große Schlafzimmer an und je nach Nachbarn kann es auch etwas hellhörig sein. Man hört auch immer mal die Straße, nachts ist es jedoch relativ ruhig und auch am Pool ist es idyllisch. Es ist noch zu erwähnen, dass der Eingang von Wohnung 1 auf die Terrasse von Wohnung 2 führt. Wir hatten sehr nette Nachbarn, so dass es für uns nicht weiter störend war.

Linda and Daniel are fantastic, kind hosts and their apartment is beautiful! We had more than enough space, traveling with 4 adults and 2 toddlers. It was an easy walk down to the boardwalk and beach, with lots of food options. Linda was very responsive and helped arrange our transfers to/from the airport. Would be happy to return!

Superb apartment that exceeded our expectations. As a regular visitor to VDL we would certainly recommend this accommodation.

The Appartment was a well furbished, comfortable space to spend time in. It felt spacious. The shutters were great for shutting out the light at night. I was in easy walking distance from the shops and the old city.

Stayed for a month couldn’t have been more comfortable. The apartment was immaculate , modern with everything you need. The bed was so comfortable and walk in shower fantastic. All kitchen equipment for cooking . Oven , microwave and dishwasher. Washing machine and airer. The tv was great with many U.K. speaking channels and news channels. The apartment felt like a home not a holiday let. The owner was so helpful but not intrusive.. I would not hesitate to book again.

We hebben 4 geweldige dagen gehad in Casa Nanna. Het huis/appartement ligt op een super locatie. Midden in het hele leuke stadje Tariva met veel gezellige restaurants. Het appartement ziet er goed uit, heel sfeervol. Alles wat je nodig hebt voor een fijn verblijf is aanwezig. Als je aan de eettafel zit kijk je via het romantische raam/balkon zo op de 'hoofdstraat'. Het weer was niet echt geweldig toen wij er waren dus hebben we niet op het (kleine) balkon kunnen zitten. Wel heerlijk gebruik gemaakt van de hout kachel. Boekje lezen op de bank met de houtkachel aan :) Schuin tegenover het appartement zit een (Portugese) bakker. Waar je heerlijk vers brood kunt halen - ieder dag open! Op loopafstand is de haven waar de ferry vertrekt naar Tavira Island. Voor een paar euro sta je binnen een kwartier op Tavira Island. Echt leuk om te doen. Prachtig langgerekt strand met een aantal restaurantjes. En ook ligbedjes op het strand. Kortom, Casa Nanna is een aanrader!!

Wir hatten in Altura einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Das Haus war geräumig und passend eingerichtet. Für die Kinder war der Pool das Highlight. Karine hat uns immer sehr rasch und freundlich geantwortet. Nachdem ein Sturm einen Sonnenschirm zerfetzt hat, gab es gleich Ersatz.

We've just returned from a fantastic stay at Villa Verde. It had everything we needed and was much bigger than the photographs suggest. It worked perfectly for us to visit family up the road and the pool was an added bonus. The villa was spotless and Phil always got back to me within minutes if I needed any help. Thank you!

What an amazing villa. We were blown away. There were 10 adults and two young children in our group and the space was perfect. Loads of room for everyone and ideal communal spaces for meals, relaxing and playing games. Marie Diane and Tim were responsive, helpful and patient. We are already planning to come back!

We stayed at Carmen’s house with our grandchildren and there are so many things for them to do. It’s really set up great for families. Everything we needed in the kitchen, town markets are walkable. We had a fantastic time!

This house was perfect for our holiday. It is very clean and well equipped and it is also within walking distance of Tavira town, so we could go out for dinner and have a few drinks without worrying about taxis or Ubers. It is facing the pool, and we enjoyed setting just outside the house on the deckchairs most days. Highly recommended! Thank you very much!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Rich & Yan's place! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how spotless and well-maintained the condo was. Everything was sparkling clean, making it feel like a true home away from home. The location was perfect—just a short drive to to great restaurants and stores, making it easy to grab a bite to eat or pick up anything we needed. Plus, the free parking right in front of the condo was so convenient, especially after a long day of exploring. One of the highlights was the amazing patio! It was the perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Speaking of wine, Rich & Yan went above and beyond with thoughtful extra touches, including a hand-picked bottle from the Duoro Valley, a toiletry bag stocked with essentials, and even a personalized welcome sign and letter, which made the stay feel extra special. Communication was seamless—the hosts were incredibly responsive. We look forward to our next visit!

Very good house. Beautiful garden and good bedrooms. The only problem is the fact that the hot water only lasts for 3 persons… and the house fits for 9… it’s difficult for the showers.
