This location is perfect if you want to drive and spend a few days exploring the Alentejo. Multiple towns are nearby. Evora is a great all day trip, including the megaliths outside of town, and you get to leave all the guided groups behind. Elvas is a wonderful town very near the border with Spain. Villa Real is a gem. Arraiolos is known for weaving rugs. Evoramonte is close by and has terrific views. All of these towns are hilltop towns with castles. The regional wine is terrific, the cork industry is fascinating, the olives, oranges, and lemons, are great, and you are in the middle of the area of marble quarrying. The towns are predominantly full of white buildings with mustard or blue trim and lot and lots of marble. Fica’s place is comfortable, quiet, and has restaurants, bakeries, drugstores, and small shops just steps away.

A well-lit hallway features modern design elements, including two gray armchairs positioned beside a minimalist floor lamp. A large clock adorns one wall, while potted greenery adds a refreshing touch. Dark wooden doors provide a contrast to the light-colored walls and wooden flooring.

Wonderful apartment on a quiet little street. Perfect location, easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and historical sites. Delicious little bakery/coffee shop right around the corner filled with locals. Parking was super easy, close to rental unit, free, and safe. Our host was very helpful, friendly, and responsive. Overall perfect place to stay while visiting Evora.

Also excellent sound insulation outside the apartment. Very well located, close to all points of interest in the city. And a spectacularly friendly and flexible host. We felt very welcome. Another fantastic few days in this gorgeous space, love the selection of books on the shelves, well equipped kitchen, and very fast response from Lawrence and on-site (but at a distance) housekeeper. Cannot fault the house for a family break.
