Set in peaceful nature, we are located just 3 minutes walk from the lake where you can swim, paddleboard and kayak. There are beautiful hikes right from the doorstep. The historic town of Marvão is 15 minutes by car and the Roman ruins of Ammaia are just 5 minutes away.

Spend the day kayaking, walking or cycling in the mountains, enjoying the largest spa in Portugal (20 mins), & exploring historic villages and cities, then come home to relax in a hammock in the orchard, soak up views from the bath, or chillout to vintage vinyl. We live on site, but the apartment is totally private, being the whole upper floor & with own entrance.

For years it served as an anti-stress refuge for the family, who today decided to open the doors for those who want to spend relaxing days in the nature. Casa da Piedade is a cozy retreat in total harmony with nature, where comfort and tranquility are priorities. Located in Portagem, at the foot of the Marvão mountain range, it is a 3-minute walk from the local swimming pools and a 10-minute drive from the castle. Surrounded by typical restaurants and serene landscapes, it is the ideal starting point to explore the region, savor the local cuisine and rest in a calm and authentic environment.

The house is located on a fenced farm. It overlooks a lake, a pine forest and the Serra da Estrela, in a natural setting of great beauty.
