Blacksmith's workshop

In ancient times, the house was a blacksmith's workshop with his small adjacent home. Recently renovated in a contemporary style, it has become a two-story residence of about 80 square meters. On the ground floor is the living area with the dining table, kitchen, bathroom and a wine pantry, reached by a wooden staircase with staggered steps. A second black iron staircase leads to the intermediate mezzanine where the study is organized. The balustrade becomes the worktop and overlooks the double height. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom. The floors are in resin-coated concrete and part with tiles in recycled cement paste; the upper floor is finished with parquet. Particularly unique are the vintage furnishings, the lighting of the rooms and the contemporary art paintings by a young Sicilian artist-designer. The house is equipped with winter and summer air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV and dishwasher. A few kilometers away is the beach of Porto Palo (Blue Flag) with the possibility of boat trips, ultralight flights and bike rentals. Nearby, less than a 25-minute drive, you can play golf at the beautiful Golf Verdura Resort. The most important archaeological sites of Sicily are easily reachable: Selinunte (15 minutes), Cave di Cusa (25 minutes), Segesta (45 minutes), Eraclea Minoa (40 minutes) and Agrigento and "Scala dei Turchi" (50 minutes) To visit: the city of Sciacca, Sambuca di Sicilia (Borgo più bello d'Italia 2016), the Literary Park of Tomasi di Lampedusa in Santa Margherita (15 minutes), the "Cretto di Burri" in Gibellina (30 minutes), the Stagnone di Marsala (Mothia), the Saline and the city of Trapani, Erice (all about 60 minutes by car) The city is well connected to Palermo's Falcone Borsellino and Trapani Birgi airports, both within an hour's drive.

Salvatore is one of the best hosts I've ever had! Very sensitive and friendly person. At check-in, we were very tired from our travel day, he noticed it right away and left us our room. I thought that was great and totally thoughtful! The apartment is as shown in the pictures, relaxed neighborhood and very close to Sciacca. There you will find everything you are looking for. Salvatore's secret tips and personally created travel guide for the area was very helpful! The location, the surroundings, the apartment and the host are highly recommended! Beautiful! With heavily loaded motorcycles, the access was a bit difficult to drive, but the location, the great view from the terrace to the sea, the tranquility and the good amenities of the apartment made us quickly forget the journey. We didn't miss anything in the apartment and we felt very comfortable. The great swimming bay is within walking distance, not very crowded at the beginning of June. We would book this apartment again at any time if we are in the area.

Serafina is a wonderful host. The apartment is lovely and clean. It’s near enough to town that you can be in centro in a few minutes by car, but removed enough for a peaceful retreat. We had quick access by roadway to Spiaggia Capo San Marco, a breathtakingly beautiful nearby beach. Serafina greeted us with a gift basket and made us feel incredibly welcome after a long drive. When we checked out she brought our daughter an Easter basket of goodies and gave us a bottle of spumanti. I wish we could’ve stayed longer, she just made us feel so welcome. Also she was very patient about my poor Italian! I look forward to returning someday.

We were allowed to spend 6 fantastic days in the suite by the sea. A place that has filled our hearts with happiness and love from the very first moment. Beautiful place with an incredible hostess. Laura and Alfred anticipated our every wish and made our stay so unforgettable. I would like to emphasize that they are both very professional. Privacy is very important to them. In addition, there is this desire to provide the perfect stay. The suite is a place of beauty and love. From start to finish, a highly recommended accommodation.
