Vacation rentals with a washer and dryer in Coniston

My friend and I stayed here for the first time this May, and we were both blown away at how amazing the property is. It was extremely clean, warm and very inviting, and it was great to have an outdoor seating area which was very private and surprisingly quiet considering that we were in the heart of Bowness. The property is very convenient for everything that you need, and Peter is extremely knowledgeable about anything that you need to know. Exceptional stay and we will recommend ADMIRAL'S NEST to all friends and family. This is the only place that I will stay now in Bowness. Thank you Peter .

Michael was the perfect host. Friendly and helpful. The cottage was so cosy and quaint. The surroundings beautiful and peaceful.

We stayed here for a week and had an amazing time. The location is perfect, within walking distance to Windermere town (about 10 mins) and also Bowness (about 20 mins). The accommodation was spacious and clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Gary and Ange were fantastic hosts, they made us feel very welcome whenever we bumped into them and went above and beyond to return a personal item we accidentally left behind. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again next time we visit the Lake District.

We had a fantastic stay at Niall and Marta’s beautiful 2-bedroom apartment in Windermere. The space was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The decor was stylish and thoughtfully done, making it feel like a home away from home. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. You have free parking available and all restaurants/shops are at a walking distance. Highly recommend!

It was a lovely flat in a quiet location. Lots of walks direct from the door. Close to the centre and shops. Instructions for parking and access first class with photos.

What a fabulous few days me and my boys had ..I’ve never seen them so relaxed (ages 35 and 37 )x I think it was the lovely energy we felt in the beautiful Nest xx looking out over the river each morning set us up for the day. Would recommend 100% , we had everything we needed ..I couldn’t fault it ..the bedrooms immaculate and the beds /bedding were soft clean and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the gym and pool offer also x staff there were lovely at the Swan Hotel. Thank you xx

We had an amazing two-night stay at this Airbnb! The place was spotless and incredibly comfortable. We especially loved the large living room and playroom, and the TV was a great bonus. The Wi-Fi was excellent — super fast and reliable. The location was superb, making it easy to get around. Plus, having nearest parking was really convenient. Our host was also incredibly helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had, which made our stay even smoother. We highly recommend this Airbnb and would definitely stay here again!

Such a fantastic stay at Elizabeth’s place. Truly a home away from home. Such a beautiful house, with stunning decor, very well equipped kitchen, perfect sun trap garden area and very clean throughout. Elizabeth was an exemplar host with such detailed recommendations and really lovely welcoming gifts. The location of the house is absolutely perfect. Would recommended in a heartbeat. We’ll definitely be back!

This property was perfect for a weekend away in the lakes. Located 5 - 10 minutes away from local shops, resteraunts, pubs and cafes in Windermere, but still in quiet area. This was exactly how it was described and on the pictures. We had all the facilities needed there and the house was spotless. Each room is very spacious and we couldn't fault it. Jordan and Maureen were extremely helpful, answering any queries we had promptly. Also sending a message during the stay, to see how we are getting on. Helped to provide local recommendations within the area and were very friendly. I would highly recommend staying here for a weekend in the lakes, especially if looking for a property in Windermere. Fantastic stay with dear friends in Ambleside. The house was beautiful, the beds were comfy, the hot tub was great, and it was only a two minute walk to the shops in Ambleside. Perfect weekend and we would all come back. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely, comfortable stay, and the accommodation was clean and very well equipped. The location was great as it was approx 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Ambleside in one direction and about the same fom Lake Windermere in the other direction, and there were scenic walking routes from right outside the front door. We went by train and bus, and with a pre-arranged delivery from a local supermarket, it all worked really well.

We had a fantastic stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Check-in was smooth, and communication with the host was easy and friendly throughout. The space had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable trip. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Enjoyed a nice 3 night stay in Ulverston at Rachel's place. Eventhough there is a local pub near I had no issues with noise. Lovely place and enjoyed every minuite of my stay xx

House was exactly as described and pristine. The kids loved their own space in the “loft”. Would be slightly weary of stairs with younger kids (especially if they walk at night). Kitchen had everything you need to make breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. The house was super cozy and the beds very comfortable. Fantastic location - very remote if that’s what you’re looking for. Perfect location for climbing Scafell although we didn’t attempt due to the weather. Fair drive on tricky fell roads if you’re looking to spend lots of time in Windermere / Ambleside / Keswick. But perfectly doable. Great pub down the road with play area and football for the kids. Would love to return / have stayed longer to walk around the area close to the house.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay during our hiking adventure. The place was very comfortable with several pubs just a few minutes away. We also took advantage of a very well equipped kitchen and a local supermarket (we cooked our own dinner one night). If I were returning to Sedbergh or the area, I would book the same place again, it was a true gem. The host provided great instructions, it was easy to find the place and retrieve the key. Big bonus is ample free parking in the area and proximity to a lot of great hiking locations (including some starting just from the town itself).

Like most places Mondays are tricky finding a restaurant open. Everything was great and Lottie was a kind and responsive host who left us gorgeous local goodies to ear, much appreciated

What a lovely flat in sleepy Sedbergh! Great location and very peaceful. The flat is so comfortable with the softest carpets too. Lots of extra towels and bedding available. A very well equipped kitchen and a lovely feeling of calm as soon as we stepped inside. Everything was really well thought out and very clean. We stayed for two nights but will definitely stay again and for longer next time. Amy very kindly extended our check out time and always responded to questions quickly. I highly recommend visiting Sedbergh and staying in this stunning little flat!

We really enjoyed our stay here at Whitbarrow. The apartment was lovely, with the special addition of the balcony overlooking the beautiful views, which we enjoyed with a cuppa or two. Our boys loved the toys and the drawing that was available to play with but, of course, their highlight was the pool. Local distance to Lowther, buttermere, Penrith, pooley Bridge, Keswick etc so lots to do. We’ll be back soon! 🙂

Nice place off the highway. All amenities are available. Good value for money. Easy to get to Carlisle city centre if you’re driving 9 minute drive.

Fiona and Dave’s apartment was a beautiful quiet sanctuary right in the heart of bustling Windermere. It was a little tricky to find, but Dave’s instructions were excellent and the free parking area, essential for us, had plenty of room. The apartment was ideally located for our 3 night stay in the Lake District, within a couple of minutes’ walk to anywhere in Windermere, a 30 minute walk down to the lake shore in Bowness, and an easy day’s drive to most places in the area. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. It is good value for money and ideal for a couple to happily stay for a week or two.

Stephen’s place is lovely, even better than the photos! We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed all Stephen’s touches such as local recommendations and the welcome message. The shower is really nice and powerful, the beds are comfy and the living room and kitchen are spacious and very well-equipped. We would definitely come back.
