Vacation rentals in Comenda (Castelo Cernado)

Great place in a pretty and private environment! Perfect quinta to relax before going back to work! The owner was really responsive and friendly, giving us privacy too. Awesome stay and highly recommended!

Ghanim was, together with Vera, an excellent host. Very friendly, helpful and seemed to be always on call for our questions. We had some trouble finding the location (due to Google Maps not selecting the right area, Apple Maps worked fine) and Ghanim was very helpful by sending us waypoints and screenshots of the road we had to take. Also the check-in and check-out were very flexible. The location itself is huge, beautiful, nicely decorated and all the amenities are present - from linen to appliances and fresh lemons from the tree in the garden. Morning coffees in the greenhouse were part of our main routine. Can and will absolutely recommend 🙏

the hospitality and place to stay is amazing. The house is large and very clean. Everything is extremely well thought out and well planned until breakfast delivered every morning at 6:30 am! amazing and convenient! The pool area is great and the exteriors are very welcoming. Everything was perfect until the proposals for activities were all very interesting. We recommend it. ❤️

It was a good stay, nice hosts

Nice, cozy family unit with 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms near Fatima, which is about 10 minutes away. We had trouble finding a place in Fatima that was large enough for our family of 5. Paulo's place had three bedrooms and 4 full-size beds (2 double beds, plus an individual bed with a trundle/pullout that had another full-size individual mattress, perfect for our teenage boys.). There is a small washer and a little kitchen and we made eggs and heated up some take-out a few times. There was wi-fi and it worked well. It is about 30-35 minutes walking distance to the main town center of Ourem, and there are some nice restaurants there. If you are looking for a place right near the castle (Castelo de Ourém) it is literally around the corner, like 5 minutes away. Bring tennis shoes, it's nice to walk around, the area is lovely. Uber was about 10 dollars to go to Fatima from here, I suggest downloading the app so you can get around easier. A good place if you want peace and quiet.

We really liked the house, we were very comfortable, very clean, very welcoming and with all the necessary equipment. With a backyard with a barbecue to enjoy. Cidlina always very helpful and attentive with us, the D. Estrela that welcomed us with open arms was very nice and very helpful and that helped us a lot with what we needed, and when we arrived we already had the salamander lit with the warm house, the oranges and some egg slices that he offered to us were very tasty. The region is quite beautiful and with many places to visit. We love and will return without fail as soon as possible. A thank you very much to Cidalina and to D. Estrela for all the care they had with us.

This was a really cute and nice place. It was as showed in the pictures, even a pooltable! The house is clean with a cozy fire place we used a lot because it was winter. The garden very beautiful and big. Though the outside area and pool is shared with another place on the same property, which was no problem for us but might should be taken into account. The surroundings are stunning, perfect for some peaceful time in nature.

What to say... it's a beautiful place surrounded by greenery with stunning views of the surrounding area. Darleene is a welcoming and very kind person. It's available in the property. The pool is awesome. There is a common room to watch TV and eat with others inside. Outdoor play area ping, darts. Great outdoor space for large tables with an outdoor kitchen. Would definitely stay again as this slice of paradise is pleasant. As a bonus, I saw a shooting star and saw the swallows dancing above my head. Thanks again Darleene for your hospitality.
