Pitch yourown tent, Western lakes, coast to coast.

KeithRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Stayed at Tracey’s and David’s camping for one night while walking Coast to Coast. The location in Cleator Moor town is idea distance from start for more “relaxed” low speed people. Tracey and David are really very friendly open and chatty. Camping pitch is flat and cut grass. Also a larger area then we thought with privacy. There is a toilet, basin and shower. All very usable and clean, sole use for campers. Chip shop 2 min walk, short opening times . We would recommend for C2C walkers Tracey place is a living working environment and a very friendly dog Tank. Would highly recommend, just needs to be put out to coast to coast social media so easier to find on line.

Kiln Brow Cottage - Gateway to the Lake District

The house was comfortable, clean and spacious, with a lovely back terrace perfect for a sunny aperitif. We were lucky enough to meet Billy when we arrived late — he went the extra mile to help us sort out takeaway for dinner. Much appreciated!

Number Forty Seven

One of the best Airbnb we stayed in. Gillian was very responsive and the Welcome Pack was impressive! The place was super clean and we felt at home right away. The photos really don't do justice to the place - bigger than we expected and lovely place to visit the cost and the Lake District. Can't thank Gillian enough , we love her house!

No 1 Ehen Hall, In Victorian Country House Cleator

OwenRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
My stay at Ehen Hall was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The host, Susan was incredibly gracious. Communication before my stay was welcomed ensuring that I found the property without a problem. I really appreciated the gesture of a welcome basket which included local goods as well as other goodies; and also the flexibility of arriving a little earlier than anticipated. The apartment within Ehen Hall was amazing, exactly as described. Spotlessly clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The location was ideal for exploring the western side of the Lakes and there are numerous walks close at hand if you wanted a day without driving. I can also recommend parking at Whitehaven and taking the train to Ravenglass for the Eskdale valley. Overall a truly memorable and enjoyable stay and couldn't recommend the host and accommodation more highly. If I ever visit this part of the Lakes again, I would have no hesitation in returning to Ehen Hall. Thank you Susan.
