Lake side cottage rentals in Clear Lake

The cottage is spacious, clean, and tastefully and creatively decorated. There are lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy right on a peaceful lake. The host was very responsive to questions. All was as described and as shown in photos. Very nice!

The stay was very comfortable. We had everything we needed and more. Beautiful outdoor area. Would stay again.

We were in town for a graduation at Hillsdale College (about 25 minutes away). This house was just the right size for 3 adults and 3 teenagers. It was very clean. The kitchen was well-equipped (I'm always grateful for a real coffee maker and a toaster!). There was plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, etc. The gas grill had a full propane tank. The deck and yard were terrific. We spent as much time as we could out on the deck or the dock or in the yard hammock. The kids enjoyed playing in the sand and water. We also used the kayaks. We didn't have small kids with us, but the house had lots of toys inside and out. It's obvious that the family who own this are here frequently, which makes a difference. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. Would absolutely come back again. Thanks for sharing your special place, Michelle!

For our large group with kids from ages 9-17 there was plenty to keep them occupied right at the house. Perfect lakefront location! The kids loved getting out on the kayaks. Location was very convenient, easy access off the interstate, short drive to the grocery and just a few minutes to Pokagon State Park. Would definitely stay again!!

The place is GORGEOUS. Extremely spacious & as a reader I really dug the window reading nook. We got to see some super cool moths when we arrived & their little eggs. The place had a nice outside seating area which was where we ate most meals & had our morning coffee. It was extremely serene.

Really enjoyed the peacefulness of the lake and being able to use the everything outside as needed. The pontoon was a bonus and made for fun fishing excursions. Having almost enough beds for our large family was a big plus! The house was clean, the yard was sufficient and the beach a very short walk (or run if you were under the age of 12). We also enjoyed meeting Jake and hope we can see him again next year!

The quiet privacy, the beautiful lake and nearby nature preserve was exactly what we needed for renewal. We brought our food and had everything in the furnished kitchen to prepare our own meals. When we need to escape the busy pace of life and just be still, we'll be back!

Great location and great value for the area.

Great little place near the lake! Very clean and I loved the modern decor; there is a lot of attention to detail. Great kitchen and we appreciated the Keurig coffee and complimentary bottle of wine. Beds were comfortable, linens were fresh!

This lakeside cabin is an idyllic vacation getaway for couples. It took some trial and error to able to use the listed appliances, but we managed to find a proper routine for using them. The hammock is set up in the perfect place under the trees. The sunsets are absolutely gorgeous. And, best of all, bubble wands. (Probably more intended for family use, but blowing bubbles is the ultimate way to relax.) 10 out of 10. Would booked again. P.S., If you drink coffee, you might wanna get some extra sugar to be safe. If Irina is provide extra sugar, then please disregard this postscript.

This cottage was so cute and thoughtfully outfitted. Super clean, recently renovated with lots of charm and character. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking a few dinners. It was all one level and, with the walk-in shower, it was perfect for my elderly dad. The beds were super comfy. We enjoyed eating breakfast looking out over the sunrise on the lake, and we played cards on their comfy back deck at night. It was a quick drive to hop on I-94 East or West, and only a 5 minute drive to a great grocery store, and a few minutes more to some restaurants. We had a problem with the smoke detector battery chirping and needing replacing, and the property manager had it fixed very quickly. If we were in the area again, we would definitely stay again!

We stayed here back in 2021. We fell in love then with place. We tried to go back the following year but was off the market for awhile. When I saw this come back open, I knew we had to go back. If you like the sun, water, campfires, and just relaxing on the deck. This is the place. I would like to give it a bad review so we could keep it a secret so we could return anytime but that's not the case. Something this nice should be shared.

Beautiful sunsets in the evenings! The house was perfect! No issues at all! Phillip was great at communicating! The neighbors were so friendly!!

Great home for our family weekend. The home came with everything that we needed and had a great outdoor space and plenty of room for relaxing in the evenings.

What an absolute privilege to spend a couple of nights in a Frank Lloyd Wright home. No stone was left unturned in restoring, furnishing, and decorating the space to its original grandeur. The home is full of literature, original architectural plans and artwork that enhance the understanding of the design, and of the home's place within The Acres community. Marika is the most accommodating and gracious host. We are eternally grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

We thoroughly enjoyed Ryan's property. We were visiting the area to see the Nascar Race which was an easy country drive to the event. This lake house cottage is adorable. The family room was sooo comfortable to watch movies on a big screen TV. We especially enjoyed sitting outside by the firepit. The lake is on the smaller side but it was so peaceful and private! We didn't do any fishing but looks like a perfect place to fish! The house was well equipped and very clean. Do not hesitate to stay at this property.

My wife and I along with my brother’s small family came to stay for a few days for the NASCAR Michigan weekend. We loved the entire time we were there. The place perfect distance to and from the track. The amenities were really great. The space was comfy and warm. We would most definitely like to stay here again next time we come back.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was easy to find and close to everything in town that we needed. We where in town to celebrate our grandson's highschool graduation. The 2 bedroom home fit us all well. We spent time sitting around the dining room table as well as sitting on the front porch. We look forward to visiting Bryan Ohio again. If You need a place to stay this is it. This was a great place to stay in a great location right on the water! We especially loved the patio, fire pit, and paddle boards. On top of that, the host was extremely responsive. We had trouble with the coffee maker on the first morning of our trip, and after letting the host know, they had a new one delivered almost instantly! We had a great stay and would definitely recommend!

Plenty of room for the 2 of us, clean & easy to find.

This place was excellent and just as described. I don’t know if Nate is responsive because everything that you would want or need was provided. The accommodations were perfectly appointed as advertised.
