This was our second stay at Brenda’s place. It is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle . We especially like the two bedroom so we have our own rooms. The kitchen was well equipped with the cooking pans we needed to fix our meals. It was quiet and peaceful being out in the country. That may not appeal to everyone but give it a try. It was nice to be greeted by the cat. We will return here again, hopefully soon.

Cute cabin and beautiful view, close to hiking! Extra bonus of doggy treats in the freezer. Super quiet and secluded. Wonderful firepit outside with computable chairs. Beds cozy. Kitchen was stocked with what we needed to cook. Bathroom very clean! We shared the kitchen with a lot of lady bugs but it’s that time of year so we understood. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

This was a great getaway that was in the center of town. The house was perfect for our group of 7. Very clean, comfortable, spacious, and in walking distance to local restaurants and shops. I would actively choose to stay in this house in the future.

"Cabin" does not do this place justice; it is a beautiful property with every possible amenity right on the Mississippi River, with plenty to do and everything necessary to enjoy a good time with good people.

It's just what our group was looking for, enough room for up to 12 people easy, we had a great time, spent alot of time on the beautiful view patio right on the Mississippi River, everything you needed was right there and felt like home. We will book again next year for the potosi brewfest, met Gina and Shane, delightful people.

We had a lovely stay at Ken's place when we were in the area for a couple of days of hiking at Wyalusing State Park (WI side of the Mississippi) and Pike's Peak State Park (IA side of the river). The bed was really comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with the utensils, pot, pans, etc. we needed to prepare our own meals. We didn't explore Prairie du Chien or McGregor (IA) very much because of our focus on hiking, but we did take time to have tea and goodies at the McGregor SpecialTea Shoppe one afternoon. Good tea and yummy treats.

This place is so charming, very walkable to Main Street McGregor and with beautiful river views. Loved the unique wallpapers and cheerful kitchen, and the antique touches! Three different dining places to sit down and eat or enjoy a cup of coffee :)The host was really friendly and responsive, with clear and easy instructions. Lots of stairs and an occasional train horn keep you on your toes - overall we made great memories in this lovely historic building!!

Nice quiet place. Beautiful natural surroundings. Decent restaurant choices within 10 miles radius. State parks with walking trails within a 30 mins driving distance. Also enjoyed the board games and Foosball table. Gary was a helpful and responsive host. Highly recommend this place.
