Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Clayton County

We have stayed at the Riverway house several times now. Each stay has been a wonderful experience. The house is clean, inviting, and a great place to relax and unwind. The house has unbeatable views of the Mississippi River. Clayton is a very small town, but has two nice places to grab a meal. We will definitely be back!

This place was amazing! The view was terrific! The place was so spacious and clean and very comfortable! Would choose to stay here again and again!

We booked a home on VRBO. 12 hours prior to our rental I received a message that they canceled my booking due to double booking. I found Dave’s home and he was extremely accommodating and we booked immediately. He had everything ready for our family with very little notice. He also was able to assist with a special request. He was very responsive and we had a wonderful extended holiday weekend. I would definitely recommend this home.

The house was as it was listed. We had 3 couples staying and it was big enought to accommodate all of us. We had a great time

Stay again at the Golden Inn and found the place just as peaceful and perfect for our vacation needs. Host is friebdly and responsive to questions and our family loves this place as a home base for visits to Guttenberg.

It's just what our group was looking for, enough room for up to 12 people easy, we had a great time, spent alot of time on the beautiful view patio right on the Mississippi River, everything you needed was right there and felt like home. We will book again next year for the potosi brewfest, met Gina and Shane, delightful people.

This place was perfect for getting a large group of friends together. There was a bed and dining room seating for everyone and we got plenty of use out of the firepit and even the water slide even though it was chilly. The location is great, right on the Mississippi and only an hour from Dubuque and Prairie Du Chen. Cassville, just a short jaunt down the road, has all the basics you could need and the state park nearby has awesome views from the bluffs. On top of all that Jennifer was a wonderful host. She was quick to respond, accommodating, and has bunches of recommendations for the area. Overall it was great stay.

Brandi's place is exceptional. Her home has been well-loved and is very well maintained. Everything is clean. The couch, the bed, the sheets, the bathroom, the kitchen. One of the drawbacks to airbnb's is the lack of cleanliness that is becoming the norm. Sheets, chairs, couches retain body odors. Not so with Brandi's place. It smells clean and fresh. I came to hike, and there is great hiking close by. Pike's Peak is walking distance, a bit more than a mile, but the exceptional experience is Effigy Mounds National Monument. It's a quick 10 minute drive. It is an incredibly beautiful park with wonderful vistas of the great Mississippi. A genuinely sacred place.

The Water Street Lodge is a beautiful space with a stunning view of the Mississippi River. Sitting in the sauna while enjoying the calmness of the partially frozen river in winter was refreshing. The two balconies were nice as well as the porch. The kitchen area was spacious and the coffee area was well stocked with coffee and mugs. Thank you Laura for a wonderful vacation experience.

Beth and her husband Bruce are so wonderful! They accommodated every special need we had. The place was emasculate and had everything we realized we forgot to pack! The people we stayed with were in awe of the views of the place and how clean everything was. We are repeat visitors and plan on staying again next year!!

Cute cabin and beautiful view, close to hiking! Extra bonus of doggy treats in the freezer. Super quiet and secluded. Wonderful firepit outside with computable chairs. Beds cozy. Kitchen was stocked with what we needed to cook. Bathroom very clean! We shared the kitchen with a lot of lady bugs but it’s that time of year so we understood. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

I've stayed at the Stargazer in the past and enjoy it's rustic serenity. it is a unique place, and cozy. I would do it again.

This place was better than the pictures. It was clean and had all the things necessary for cooking inside and on a grill. There was a crockpot and a variety of pots, pans and cooking utensils. There were plenty of shower towels, hand towels and washcloths. Also there was enough toilet paper for our stay. The bedsheets were made very well and beds and pillows were better than the average rental. I recommend a golf cart rental to get around, especially if you have children. We did bring bikes, but there are hills and larger gravel, so biking wasn't the best means to get around. We had a great trip and would recommend this place!

The Railway Lodge is such a cute and cozy cabin—perfect for a peaceful weekend in nature! The place had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We especially loved spending time outside and doing some grilling—it was the perfect way to unwind. The quiet surroundings and scenic setting made it feel like a true escape. The hosts were super responsive and thoughtful. Highly recommend if you're looking for a charming, nature-filled retreat!

If you're thinking of booking here, do it! The host was amazing and always making sure we had what we needed! The views are great! The cabin was clean and we felt right at home! The hot tub was splendid! You will not regret booking with the Eagles Roost!
