An absolutely dreamy escape for two! complete with scenic views, and enough special touches to feel at home. Fiona made everything so comfortable and we look forward to coming back!

A fantastic place in a pretty, serene location where you can chill by the fire pit. The kids loved the hut and the amenities and brought them away from their devices and into the outside!

Well, what can I say? Everything about our stay was simply perfect. A ‘girly time’ spent chilling in a beautifully refurbed Shepherds Hut, with everything provided for a very cosy night. Amanda was such a hospitable host. She made us feel so very welcome with her two dogs, ducks and pigs (we a need to go back and meet the horses and donkey) Amanda lit the fire pit for us after a rainy afternoon, and made the most delicious breakfast and coffee the next day. Joining us after breakfast we enjoyed hearing a myriad of her life stories - and nearly five hours later we departed with lots of happy memories. A little bit of heaven in the Hampshire country side. Exactly as advertised; very generous breakfast brought to the door of the hut by prior arrangement and at reasonable price. Bathroom hut basic but very decent shower with plenty of hot water and spotless.

Fabulous host, gave us the most wonderful recommendations. Helped with ferry tickets and buses to arrive. Beautiful location, so peaceful and calm and relaxing waking up to the sound of nature. Will definitely be visiting again!

What a beautiful cabin/shepherds hut and location. I booked a solo weekend getaway and travelled by train from London, getting a taxi from Woking. All easy. Hosts came to say hello and were super friendly and welcoming. I went on a couple of nice walks but could have easily hung around the cabin all weekend. Perfect for solo getaway or as a couple. A delightful and charming place to stop and relax. Everything was superb - the hut, its private garden, the thoughtful book selection, the bed linen which smelt of fresh air, the warm croissants and home made jams. Daisy the retriever, was the icing on the cake. Sarah and Frank are warm, available as needed but respectful of privacy.

The best site ever. We could enjoy unique hut with a bathtub and private space. The scenery of the hill from there was so nice. Our dog could be a good friend of sheep in the next field and excited for a wild rabbit was running through the field. Facilities are well maintained and clean, especially the wood stove inside worked well and nice. Thank you for the stay and see you again! We found a good Japanese restaurant 5 minutes drive from the site.

Stayed 3 nights at Jo's hut with our dog during the recent heatwave and we had a fab time. So quiet and peaceful. The hut was so comfortable and cool at night. There was everything there we could possibly need from dog toys and treats, to amazing toiletries and soft towels. A very efficient fridge with milk water and even fresh eggs available to buy for a minimal charge. Thanks Jo we had a lovely relaxing time and will definately come back!!

I stayed with my 5yr old daughter. The first thing she said - ‘feels like we are living in a dream’ and she wasn’t wrong! Isobel has created the most wonderful garden, it felt very special to have a weekend relaxing amongst all the beautiful flowers. The hut was amazing, it had all the required amenities and kept us very comfortable throughout our stay. Isobel left us milk, butter, wine and that lemon drizzle cake! Wow, it was delicious with a cup of coffee! Isobel was very kind to heat the plunge pool which my daughter had so much fun playing in. (Thank you) Isobel and her family were extremely welcoming, I was provided with top service and a dinner booking sorted out for me! We met Ron the dog, who had a great time running around the garden with my daughter, she hasn’t stop talking about him! Such a wonderful stay! We will definitely be back! I booked this stay very last minute and enjoyed every second of it. Elaine was very welcoming when we arrived. She made it clear with the instructions for the hut and also had fresh warm homage bread, which was perfect for the morning breakfast with peaceful scenery. The location is perfect, right near the harbour and a lovely farm shop near. I can't recommend this stay enough!

we had a lovely peaceful relaxing romantic couple of nights here, will definitely visit again. The welcome hamper was a nice little touch and the fresh herbs growing in the basket outside to use for the cooking was a bonus. if your looking for somewhere very quite and cute this is the place.

Lovely 2 nights. Small but very well equipped,we didn't want for anything. hot tub was pre heated (wood fired) ready for our arrival, which was most welcome. Fire pit & logs also provided. We very much enjoyed our stay & would recommend! As per other reviews, there is a train line with in frequent trains, we honestly didn't find this intrusive at all.

The hut is very cosy and in a wonderful setting with fantastic amenities. The hosts were always responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We greatly appreciated the provision of kitchen essentials and surprise extras including beer and icecream! We will highly recommend and hope to return :)

We had the best time ever at Lycia’s shepherd hut. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the Lycia and Michael who showed us to the hut and made sure we had everything we needed and more for our stay. The hut completely exceeded our expectations. The hand-built fire pit and BBQ were incredible touches and we spent our evenings sitting by the fire, looking up at the stars, such a peaceful and unforgettable experience. The hut itself was cosy, beautifully done and far better than we could have imagined. Honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice! We’d recommend this shepherds to absolutely everyone. Thank you for an amazing stay Lycia and Michael, we’ll definitely be back!

Emily and her husband were lovely hosts. The shepherds hut was peaceful and cosy. Two nice pubs nearby. Would definitely stay again.

Honestly we didn’t know how much we needed this break until we got here and experienced our perfect 2 night woodland getaway! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back for another child free chill, Thankyou so much to Victoria, a real gem and got us thinking how we can live more eco friendly at home :)

Had a lovely three night stay in Acorn hut. Spacious and very private outdoor space with a hot tub for relaxing. Bathroom facilities were clean and shower was great. The hut itself was cosy with everything you need for a few nights away. Big enough for my partner and I as well as our large greyhound. The host was lovely and helpful with advice about places to go and the surrounding area. Would definitely recommend a stay here for anyone looking for a peaceful spot.

Had a beautiful time at The Great Escape! Such a peaceful place with lush surroundings. The hot tub was such a treat and the hut was very clean with all the amenities you could need. Would absolutely come back!

Absolutely amazing! This is such a great find! We had family staying at Whitecliff Caravan park so this was perfect for us as a couple who prefer something a little more alternative to a caravan! Every was as described, and more! All the little details had been thought of… from discounted ferry, fresh milk, bread and eggs (thank you!) plus soft bedding and local recommendations. The whole check in and out process was seamless and very private, but we knew help was there should we need it. We have stayed in a few Shepherds huts and this was by far the best.. clean, tidy with just the right amount of personal touches. Thank you!

The most wonderful stay in the most beautiful little hut. From the moment I arrived I felt instantly relaxed. Emily has created the most perfectly peaceful space, inside and out. She is also a wonderful host & was able to help me with my forgotten item. Waking up to the sound of the birds, with the greenery outside the window was my favourite part. Emily’s hut is a delightfully comfortable space and the log burner keeps you very cosy in the evening. The village itself is also delightful to walk around, there is plenty to explore in the area and a great pub on the doorstep. The only downside was checking out.

A lovely hut in the New Forest, beside the local pub (which we didn’t actually try). A peaceful location! Really well appointed, luxurious hut, with v comfy bed and a lovely bathroom! What more could you want!

Katie and Jason were very kind and welcoming. We loved the place. It’s isolated and the nature is beautiful. Facilities were great as well, bbq, hot tub, picnic table and lounge chairs to enjoy the surroundings. Small things like having biscuits, milk and eggs were very much appreciated as well.

My partner booked this for my birthday and it was lovely, we literally had a pub on the doorstep, which we spent our evenings in, the staff were friendly, atmosphere was great and the food was lovely. Lots of things to do and sites to visit, as we did on the two days we were there and the communication with Louise was excellent. It's our first time staying in a shepherds hut and both my partner and I weren't disappointed, it was beautiful with a lot of privacy.
