Bright, spacious well-located flatlet

The sunny south-facing guest suite is in our home in this busy village close to historic Oxford with great road, rail & bus links. A short walk to the station for a 10min train ride to Oxford (& London), a direct bus stops right outside our house, lots of woodland/country walks & Red Kites circling overhead. Blenheim Palace is nearby. A perfect base for exploring Oxfordshire & the Cotswolds. An excellent CoOp grocery, a fish‘n’chip/pizza takeaway, a b'fast cafe/coffee shop, and good local pubs.

Nicola’s communication is quite exceptional. Friendly, helpful and informative about local restaurants, food shops and directions and details about the cottage. The traditional Cotswold cottage is bijou, quirky in a welcoming way, clean and cosy. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It’s a perfect place to stay if you’re visiting Blenheim palace (just ten mins drive) yet set off the beaten track in a sleepy Cotswold village. We very much enjoyed our time there.

Although only briefly saw the host, we were checked in by an assistant still and the process was simple. The rooms are good value for money essentially a room with en-suite downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs with bathroom. Free of clutter so lots of space to put your things and the layout was well designed. Could have done with larger mirrors in the bedrooms and the downstairs bedroom door needed a repair which the host said would happen but aside from that everything was perfect 🙏🏼

We had a fantastic stay at Marie Claire’s place. What a great little find for what we needed. We attended a concert at Blenheim palace and was a short walk. The back tavern which was recommended by the host was absolutely lovely with delicious food. We took the park and ride into Oxford which was easy. I would definitely stay again in the quirky but quaint cottage. The beds were super comfortable too! If the hot tub was an amenity it would have been 5 star plus!!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Elm Bank. We had five adults and two small children and there was plenty of room for us all. We had everything we needed and Christopher’s instructions and communication was excellent. We loved walking down the road to the beautiful pub.
