Beautiful well equipped house in a perfect location within easy walking distance of a supermarket, beach and restaurants. What makes this house absolutely exceptional is the host, Stavros. He couldn’t have been more welcoming, meeting us with some very welcoming groceries including his homemade wine and olive oil. We will absolutely be back. Thank you Stavros for making our stay so perfect.

Fantastic stay in a great villa. Swimming pool on the roof is fabulous. Very well equipped property with everything you might need. Beds are really comfortable with ample air conditioning units in the rooms. Great location for touring Crete in the car, but a bit far out from Chania if you want to walk into the town. Taxis were readily available. Host is really helpful with recommendations.

Our stay at this villa was perfect! Anastasia was very helpful and flexible with our check in time. The place was exactly how it was described and pictured, we didn’t want to leave most days! Would definitely stay again.

We cannot have asked for a better place to stay in Chania. The house is a gorgeous villa perfect for a large family vacation. The location is on a breathtaking hill overlooking the city and old Harbor. There are tons of windows letting in natural light. You can be an old town in eight minutes by car or about 45 minutes walking. There are plenty of local mini markets and restaurants nearby. Michalis was a model host, and gave us plenty of recommendations for day trips, restaurants, treats, activities, and gave us very kind gifts throughout our stay. If we ever return to Crete, we will be staying here again!

We had a very comfortable stay at the apartment. The views were absolutely stunning and truly one of the best parts of the stay. The flat was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a large, functional kitchen and very comfortable beds, which made it easy to relax and feel at home. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay — they replied quickly to messages, provided great local recommendations, and even replaced some chipped pans right away when we brought it up, which we really appreciated. While we enjoyed our stay overall, it’s worth noting that the apartment is a bit more dated than it appears in the photos. It could also benefit from a more thorough cleaning in certain areas — for example, the dishwasher filter needed attention, a few shower heads were clogged, and the window nets and grooves could use a deeper clean. That said, the comfort, views, and responsive hosts made for a great experience, and with a little extra maintenance

Het was geweldig! Van te voor al goed contact gehad en goed geïnformeerd. Omdat we eerder aan zouden komen dan 15:00 mochten we gebruik maken van een eerdere check in. ( wat gelukkig kon aangezien het huis ervoor vrij was ) het was bloedheet dus we konden gelijk het zwembad induiken ❤️ Het huis was zo mooi, super schoon en groot! We waren met zijn 4en dus we konden zowat verstoppertje doen haha. Wat een ruimte, wat een rust en wat een prachtig uitzicht! Echt geweldig! Elke dag kwamen ze trouwens ook het zwembad schoonmaken en halverwege de week werd het huis nogmaals schoongemaakt en voorzien van schoon beddengoed en handdoeken. Waar het huis zich bevindt is erg rustig, dit vonden wij erg fijn, binnen 20 min zat je in Chania centrum. Dus de drukte opzoeken ging perfect zo. En fijn dat er 5 min vandaan een supermarkt zit, waar je echt veel kan halen. Dit is de mooiste vakantie ever!

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our trip, making everything so easy. The pool and the stunning view really made the whole experience unforgettable — it was the perfect place to relax. Just a heads-up: you’ll definitely want to rent a car if you’re planning to stay here, as it’s a bit out of the way and not many transport options are available unless you rely on taxis.

Villa Penelope is a beautiful place where you can spend a great time in a large group. Especially the outdoor area with a large pool is outstanding, the view over the sea is unique. Giorgos was always available within a very short time. We were even able to get to the villa earlier upon request. You need a car for activities or grocery-shopping. Thanks for everything, we would definitely come back!

This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

Ein absolut traumhafter Aufenthalt! Die Villa bietet eine familiäre Atmosphäre – wir haben uns sofort wie Zuhause gefühlt. Die Appartements sind perfekt ausgestattet, sehr sauber und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Der Pool und der Grillplatz waren Highlights, die wir täglich genutzt haben. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den Vermieter: stets erreichbar, herzlich und unglaublich hilfsbereit. Bei jeder Frage stand er sofort zur Verfügung. Das absolute Highlight war, als er uns einen traditionellen kretischen Salat zubereitet hat – eine wunderbare Geste, die uns alle begeistert hat. Es hat uns wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Wer Erholung, Komfort und echte Gastfreundschaft sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir können die Villa uneingeschränkt empfehlen und kommen definitiv wieder!

Die Unterkunft war besser als erwartet. In Realität wirkte alles größer als auf den Fotos. Wir waren deshalb positiv überrascht. Der Blick auf Meer und Berge war schön. Die Gastgeber bemühten sich sehr und kommunzierten wunderbar. Wir könnten uns vorstellen, wieder zu kommen.

This is a 10/10 Villa. We have travelled a lot and this is by far the best Villa we have stayed in. We were a family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children aged 2, 4, 9 and 11). The views are stunning, the pool is big, all the rooms have private bathroom. Jacuzzi is also perfect for when the sun goes down! Theo was a wonderful host helping us, giving good recommendations and suprising as with some nice gestures. This Villa really is a Gem as the name suggests. As for the surroundings - it is 100% private! For me the best part was that there is a nice local village to walk to every night. There are some amazing Tavernas/Restaurants with delicious food and reasonable prices (also a mini-market). There is also a nice beach with a good restaurant and a nice cozy beach bar - it is only a 10 minute walk from the villa. And if you rent a car then it is a 10 minute ride to the Rethymnon old town, which is also a very nice place with lots of shops and restaurants. The Villa was worth every euro!

The villa exudes luxury throughout with thoughtful details that ensure a high level comfort during your stay. We couldn’t make full use of the pool (price to heat was a bit high) but our daughters were braver and took a few quick dips. We stayed over Easter and planned visits into the local town and surrounding area to immerse ourselves in the celebrations and communities which was so memorable. We’d definitely love to stay again- it was a wrench to leave!!

Wonderful Stay at Georgios’ Villa in Chorafakia! We had an amazing time staying at Georgios’ villa in Chorafakia, Crete. Everything about the place was modern, clean, and beautifully designed. The villa had all the comforts we needed and more — perfect for a relaxing family holiday. Georgios was a fantastic host. He made sure we were well looked after from the moment we arrived and was always available if we needed anything. His warm hospitality made us feel truly welcome. Our whole family had a great time — from enjoying the peaceful surroundings to exploring the local area. We highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Crete. Ich war für eine Woche mit meiner Familie dort und wir haben uns sofort zuhause gefühlt. Das Haus ist wunderschön und befindet sich in einer schönen und ruhigen Gegend. Mit dem Auto ist alles schnell zu erreichen. Lieferdienste gibt es auch mindestens einen guten. Der Ausblick ist wirklich einmalig. Was aus alledem noch heraussticht ist wie perfekt das Haus ausgestattet ist. Es war reichlich Geschirr da (nicht nur ein paar zusammengewürfelte Reste wie man es sonst aus Ferienwohnungen kennt), Kaffeemaschine *mit* Kaffee, Töpfe, Pfannen bis zu Spülmaschinentabs. Monika ist sehr freundlich und konnte mir bei Fragen immer schnell weiterhelfen. Das ist Urlaub der die Seele heilt. Ankommen und wirklich abschalten. Wir waren zwar zum ersten Mal dort aber definitiv nicht das letzte Mal. :) Liebe Grüße an Monika Henrik

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. It was located in a more local area about 30-40 minutes from downtown Chania. We were surrounded by stunning views in the mountains. It was quiet, peaceful, and private. Sofia greeted us with such a friendly welcome and a delicious home cooked meal. She was very responsive too. We also enjoyed her local restaurant recommendations. The home itself is beautiful, it was lovely learning about its history and how beautifully traditional the home was kept yet equipped with many updated amenities. Note that renting a car is a must! We would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone.

Erittäin ystävällinen ja avulias palvelu. Alianthos suites henkilöstö oli erittäin ystävällistä ja joustavaa. Vuokra-auto oli ehdoton, koska sijainti oli etäällä palveluista ja ravintoloista. Lentokentän läheisyys aiheutti melua. Eritoten päivittäiset hävittäjälentoharjoitukset häiritsivät melullaan.

The villa was truly as described. When we arrived we were greeted by the hosts, who were incredibly warm and welcoming. The kitchen was well appointed and the area is perfect for families or really anyone looking to walk everywhere, including to a great beach and countless restaurants. The villa was pretty extraordinary overall. We've stayed in villas on a number of Greek islands over the last 12 years and this was the best on most counts. The interior was comfortable and spacious, really light and airy. There were only two of us, but I doubt it would be crowded with 6. A huge amount of kitchen equipment (you name it, the kitchen had it), all appliances seemed nearly new and of great quality. Showers with good supplies of hot water and strong pressure. The outside is fantastic - the pool is huge and the perfect depth throughout (maybe not ok for young children, with no shallow end). Plenty of comfortable seats and sun loungers, umbrellas for shade. The jacuzzi is a great bonus and is really high quality. Huge grounds and some lovely flowers. All windows have shutters so bedrooms could be made very dark overnight. We weren't interrupted at all through the week but whenever we had a question we received a rapid response. I can't think of anything negative to say!

The host was waiting for us at the property when we arrived. They were really welcoming and helpful. The welcome pack was excellent and meant we had everything we needed for the first evening and breakfast. The villa was perfect for us. Attention to detail was excellent too; soap, dishwasher tabs, rubbish bags, etc. Plenty of space, beautiful views and a path leading from the property (via a secure gate) directly down to a small cove with easy sea access. A previous post mentioned oil in the water in the cove but when we went on a diving/snorkling organised trip further around the cost the appearance of the water was the same and apparently this is the effect of fresh water from the mountains mixing with salt water (sweet water) giving a grainy appearance when underwater. We were able to swim from the cove around to a beach very close by. Hotel Lena is a couple of doors down with great food when we didn't feel like cooking for ourselves or just felt like a cocktail.
