Villa vacation rentals in Chianchitta

This was our first visit to Sicily. We were a group of 8 with 3 families. We had plenty of space & privacy. The home is truly as beautiful as the photos & is like a step back in time. Maria is an amazing artist who added her special touches all over the home This was Francesco’s grandfathers home built in the late 1800’s. The backyard overlooks the town below & the ocean w Mt Etna on the other side. Magnificent! The added bonus of Rosaria’s services made us feel incredibly pampered. Her services are an additional fee but are very well worth it. She cooked 2 amazing meals for us (her chicken cacciatore is the absolute best!). She also helped secure a restaurant reservation & transportation. Note that a driver or rental car is a must. Unless you are fluent in Italian you will need translation apps. Truly a lifesaver as Sicilians often do not speak English. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever fortunate enough to visit the beautiful island of Sicily.

The house is simply beautiful with great views of the sea and the coast to Taormina and the toe of the mainland. The sunrises are fabulous. The garden is beautifully landscaped and we were also very pleased with the hammock and table tennis table. The lava stone and wood are a great combination outside and inside. There are very comfortable seats and beds as well as insect screens on doors and windows. The Etna Park, Taormina and Catania are easily accessible. Andrea is a great, very attentive and friendly host who gave us a lot of good tips.

A lovely home in a peaceful area close to a large sandy beach. A car is essential as there are no shops, bars or restaurants nearby. The house was immaculate and Saro was very helpful and quick to respond to our queries. A great place to stay if you want to switch off and relax.

The property is off the beaten path and full of character. It’s got a wonderful garden and terrace area with amazing views of the surrounding mountains - the highlight of the place. The host was responsive. The only negative is the flushing of the toilet in the main apartment which doesn’t quite work right. However, the views and the fact there is a BBQ was provided more than made up for this minor inconvenience

Nunzio was incredibly friendly and helpful! The house is beautiful and the location is amazing. The road to get there is a little rough but once you arrive you are greeted by 4 lovely cats and Bianca the dog. Everything went smoothly and Nunzio was always ready to help with whatever was necessary and gave lots of recommendations. Would recommend everyone to travel inwards instead of just staying along the coast and visit this place!

Martina was great to deal with, extremely helpful and responsive. The apartment is in a peaceful and scenic location with fabulous views. The beds are very comfortable but the bunks are rather narrow and the top one is high. The kitchen is decently equipped although we struggled a bit with the stove top coffee maker. The living room has plenty of seating. The terrace is lovely and spacious with good seating to admire the view. The stairs: Yes, long-ish and steep-ish but I’m 78 and had no problem. Martina provides a very honest and comprehensive description of the location and local interests. Definitely would recommend to friends.

Our stay at Simona's Sicilian farmhouse was simply perfect. The beautiful house and its serene setting offered ultimate comfort and everything we needed for a truly relaxing break. I adored cooking in the traditional kitchen, unwinding on the balconies with stunning sunsets, lounging by the pool, and strolling through the orange groves. Time seemed to slow down, providing the much-needed escape we craved. Simona was an exceptional host – the most helpful and personable we've encountered, always there when we needed her. We only wish we could have stayed longer! I wholeheartedly recommend this charming farmhouse for anyone seeking a genuine, tranquil base to explore authentic Sicily.

Our best experience on airbnb! The location is fabulous with views of the bay and Etna as a backdrop. The hosts had prepared bottles of water, milk, jams and a bottle of wine for our arrival. They provided us with plenty of information about the surroundings and good restaurants. Erico regularly inquired about us and even allowed us to use his parking in the center of Catania for our day of sightseeing. Sabrina and Erico are warm and welcoming people who make great hosts. We highly recommend it!

This was the most magical Airbnb experience ever. Guiseppe and Giulia are the most hospitable Hosts I have ever come into contact with. They went above and beyond to make our stay the best. The villa is incredible with massive outdoor grounds to enjoy and a very beautiful large deep clean pool. Inside the villa is exactly as described but better! They were gracious and filled the fridges with many drinks to enjoy. They met us at the toll booth and escorted us to the villa and then drove us around town later to familiarize ourselves to the area and provided many dining recommendations. They were even so kind as to make reservations under their family name and deliver the most amazing desserts I have ever had! The location of the villa is perfect for day trips to Savoca and Taormina and surrounding areas. To have such a beautiful peaceful villa to return to made this our own slice of heaven! I would return in a heart beat. Thank you Giuseppe and Giulia for the most amazing stay.

We had a fantastic eight day stay in Mario’s wonderful villa. The location and views are incredible and we would highly recommend staying here. Mount Etna even erupted and put on a display (which was fabulous to witness) and Mario was hot on the phone telling us to get outside at 11pm to view the spectacle. A perfect venue with lots of space for our large party of eight adults and two children, the surrounding patios gave amazing panoramic views of the sea and countryside. We loved picking fresh oranges and cherries daily which was so relaxing and tasty! It’s a short 15 minute walk to the local town with a wonderful bakery and butchers plus supermarkets all accessable. We will definitely return to this wonderful villa when revisiting Sicily and I can’t recommend it enough! Thank you Mario .

A great home away from home for the Christmas Holiday. The kitchen was amazing and allowed for us to make all our traditional Christmas dishes. Furthermore, the living room was cozy. The couch was perfect and allowed multiple people to curl up and watch Christmas movies. Additionally, the gaming room provided much needed space for board games, karaoke, puzzles, and reading. The house was immaculate, and our host was absolutely wonderful. We showed up late the first evening and our host made traditional Sicilian delicacies for us to eat. The arancini were delicious. I would 100% come back, especially in the summer so I can enjoy their beautiful pool. 100% recommend.

This house was one of the most amazing places I've ever stayed. We went for a week and a half on a family trip, and it could not have been more incredible. Somehow, the grounds are even more lush and beautiful and spacious than the photos make them look. Incredible views of Mt. Etna and innumerable spots for morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Our manager of the property was more like a concierge. Gianluca was more welcoming and helpful than anyone I've encountered in years renting Airbnb places. We will surely be back and can't recommend it highly enough for anyone checking it out!

The house is simply fabulous. The architectural design is beautiful. A modern design where everything has been thought of - super bathrooms, bedrooms with excellent beds and storage. A truly great kitchen. The air conditioning is zoned - works quietly and well with simple controls. The pool and outside area is great - sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon. The house is clearly a home designed & completed to the highest standards - not something made with rental in mind. It's a premium priced property that definitely is worth its price. Location is great too. One block from the beach and very close to multiple bars, restaurants and lidos. The public beach is huge - not taken up with private lidos. Letojanni is a very Italian seaside spot. EUR1 gets you on to a bus to Taormina in about 7 minutes. The buses are regular and run until gone midnight. Why drive?

We loved our time in this beautifully maintained piece of history. Everything is preserved with a lot care & love. Our kids spent most of their time in the expansive courtyard. This property is located in a small charming but a self-selfsufficient village, there are a few shops, a bakery & a good supermarket 2 mins walk from the Villa. I would like thank Francesca the was of our stay. Daniella was also amazing. we would love to come back again.

Sandra was amazing. Very responsive and friendly. The place was perfect. 3 nice sized bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Nice living/dining space and nicely appointed kitchen area. Outdoor balcony was the perfect spot for breakfast with a stunning view. The pool was the star of the show, complete with lounge and bar area, bathroom and outdoor shower. Overall a perfect spot to anchor yourself as you explore the region.

Villa Gorna is an amazing location with fantastic hosts. The property is as described and photos are accurate. A lot of care was taken to put nice extra features. Orazio was very responsive and helpful, with offers available for tours etc. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend.

Beautiful stay in Aci Catena. The space comfortably accommodated all four of us and the beds were one of the most comfortable of our whole trip. The outdoor area was amazing with the pool surrounded by many olive, lemon and peach trees. Daria was very willing to help with every question we had and made many recommendations throughout our stay. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quaint stay, yet so close to everything.

Alessandra’s property just north of Viagrande was an excellent location for us to explore Mt Etna and surrounding towns. Alessandra was a great communicator and accommodated our late check in after an evening flight into Catania. Our children enjoyed exploring the grounds of the property but the guest house itself is quite rustic (which was fine for us).

The villa was above and beyond what we imagined! The pictures do not do it justice! The hosts went above and beyond to welcome us into their own, helping us with every need and question. The included breakfasts were fantastic and we had the villa owner cook for us one night served by the pool and it was by far one of the best meals we had in all of Italy. The pool was such a special treat each evening after our day visiting Mt Etna (super close to access) or around town. We would highly recommend this place as it’s spacious (we had 8 and there was extra room) and the hosts really went above and beyond to help us with every need! The only downside we had was that we only stayed for 2 nights! We will return to Sicily just to stay at this villa again! Va bene! Grazie mille!

We spent a 10 day vacation here as a group of friends. Already upon arrival we were overwhelmed by the beauty of property and surroundings: located in the beautiful lemon grove overlooking the slopes of Mount Etna and the sea. It couldn't get any better! Boredom never arose, the area offers a lot! However, a car is important. There was also always something to do on the property: beautiful pool, ping pong table, foosball, football or cooking in the great kitchen... and always fresh lemons. Maria Gulia and Angelo are super friendly and often helped us with tips and quick answers. The villa is an absolute recommendation!!

Wow what an incredible villa! The photos don’t do villa Stefania justice. The house is beautiful with stunning views over the sea and Etna on one side, and a beautifully kept garden and amazing pool on the other. The bedrooms and bathrooms are a very good size and the open plan kitchen, dining and living room are beautifully decorated. We hadn’t planned to spend much time just at the villa, but ended up spending three days out of our 10 day stay just enjoying the pool and tranquil surroundings. The villa is ideally located for sightseeing with Siracusa, Noto, Taormina and Catania within easy reach. But the villa itself is off the beaten track and therefore doesn’t feel touristy or crowded at all. Indeed, most of the local restaurants and bakeries are mainly frequented by locals. Giuseppe is a wonderful host, always quick to respond and incredibly helpful. The villa was perfect for a stay with small children and alongside some toys and kid’s furniture, there is a playground!

A Hidden Haven in the Heart of Catania We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay. This villa was a truly unexpected haven tucked away in the city of Catania. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful atmosphere, stunning views, and the beauty of the grounds. The lawns and garden were meticulously maintained—lush, green, and full of color—which made every morning coffee feel like something out of a postcard. The spacious pool was a highlight for our family, offering a private and refreshing escape after a day of exploring Sicily. It was spotless, well-kept, and perfectly positioned to enjoy both sun. What truly set this stay apart, though, was the hospitality of our host Giovanni. Not only was he warm and welcoming, but the food he prepared for us was unforgettable—fresh, flavorful, and a true taste of Sicilian home cooking. We came expecting a comfortable place to rest, but what we found was a sanctuary that far exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend
