My daughter and I did a 3 city tour of VA and NC and the Purple room was our last stop. We stayed for 2 nights. We weren't really able to enjoy all the fun whimsical stuff around the suite due to time constraints but we enjoyed what we were able. It is cozy and comfortable but not crowded. It is obvious the suite was curated with a lot of love. I enjoyed taking a "rainbow" shower and felt like royalty in the big bed. Any Airbnb host should strive to be like Schanen. We truly had a dream vacation! The only thing I would change is I wish there was a tiny freezer in the fridge. Awesome salsa, btw!

The suite was absolutely beautiful. The views, stunning. Unfortunately the weather was not the best and didn’t get to enjoy the beach or the swing on the porch but if we ever get back to the area when weather conditions are better, we would definitely stay again.

Emily is a fantastic host! From the very start, she showed prompt communication and was extremely helpful with any questions we had regarding the unit or surrounding area. The list of recommendations she provided was extremely detailed and was a great guide. The fun and useful amenities provided in this listing really made our experience that much better. We enjoyed laying in the hammock (one at a time =P), riding bikes to the boardwalk, and playing a few rounds of pool and darts. They even provided beach towels and beach chairs, which really shows how they go the extra mile for their guests. The unit is exactly as it's described, a supremely clean and comfortable room, with access to beautiful private backyard. The bed was very comfortable, and the mounted TV was bigger than expected. The location itself is tucked away from all the busyness of down town, but still close enough to walk or bike to the boardwalk. This was the perfect place for our weekend getaway!

We stayed with two small children and the setting was pretty much perfect. The place is squeaky clean and exactly as described. The hosts went above and beyond, providing two pack and plays, a high chair and even toys for our kids to play with. The hosts were very responsive when we locked ourselves out, or if we had questions. The only downside is that the street that the place is on has no shoulder and is not ideal for a stroller, so you will have to drive everywhere if you have small children.

Very nice place. It was very spacious. Roger was in the upstairs unit in case we needed something. The 2nd bedroom listed said it was 2 twin beds but it was one queen bed. the washer and dryer was not easy to locate, we just asked and it was upstairs in hall. Also, there was no frying pan. The place is located in a timeshare resort. The outdoor pool is amazing, you can bring drinks and snacks to hang out, while the staff has music playing. FYI they close the indoor pool when it rains. Aberdeen Barn is a great restaurant get coupon from the guest services rep. Jose tequila awesome Mexican food. About 1 to 1.5 hours from Virginia Beach, recommend the pier cost is $4 per person. Less crowded beach is Sandbridge. Sandbridge Island restaurant for yummy pizza. I would definitely stay again!!!!

Cannot beat the very short walk to the beach, and very quiet residential setting. Cooking facilities are limited, aligned with description, but some planning ahead will allow meals focused on the Blackstone grill (burgers, brats, cheesesteaks, fajitas, etc). And Elizabeth is a sweetheart and so helpful!

Our family of 5 had an amazing week at "Forget About It." Shannan was extremely communicative and responsive to any needs that came up before and during our stay. The house is well appointed, with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. It really is just a short 2 blocks to the beach, easy to do multiple times per day. Equipped kitchen, lots of games for kids. She was extremely thoughtful, even bringing over a small toddler-sized picnic table for our twin toddlers to use during the stay, as the indoor dining area is at the high-top island. And provided extra beach towels when requested. Fantastic beach ammenities including a Sun Ninja Shade, wagons that converted to beach chairs, beach toys, and sporting equipment. The pool and back patio were heavenly, just perfect for taking a dip and then relaxing in the shade of the covered portions of the patio in the afternoons and evenings. Tons of pool toys. We had an amazing and relaxing week at Sandbridge! Thank you!

I loved this getaway with a cottage feel and view of the bay. Host was gracious and thoughtful (flowers, kitchen basics, snacks). Very available and accommodating, but nonintrusive. The neighborhood is quiet, little traffic, lovely walk down rural roads. I loved watching the sunset over the bay. Neighbors have dogs that are eager to welcome newcomers. Despite its remote feel, it's near a major grocery and just miles from Cape Charles with restaurants and shops. I can't wait to book it again!

Check in was super easy. No pressure to attend a time share meeting. Unit was clean and comfy with more than enough room for 4 adults and 1 seven year old who loved the pools, mini golf and the chance to play real life tennis! Lol. Would definitely stay again.

Loved our stay here. Great location, easy access & parking, private, quiet and comfortable. Jenn was very responsive and helpful. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook and serve a St. Patrick's meal with no problems. We took a walk through the pretty neighborhood and visited several local restaurants nearby. Truly felt like it was a home away from home.

It’s hard to put into words the satisfaction we felt after leaving this property!! The hosts thought of everything you could possibly need while on vacation in a “home away from home”. If you didn’t have something, they are a quick text away with helpful, friendly answers and suggestions! The kayaks were a GREAT amenity. Our family used them even more than we expected. The beach was just a short 8-10min walk , and we even used the provided wagons to haul our necessities! The beach was clean, calm, and beautiful! Plenty of dish ware to cook and enjoy meals , family games provided, TV’s in every room, you won’t run out of fun! Walk out your back door, there’s your oasis!!! Stunning in ground pool, plenty of seating, lounge chairs, grill, outside shower convenience, and a deck down by the water to enjoy sunsets and sunrises 😊 Regina connected with me a few days before arriving and made sure no questions went unanswered! Highly recommend this property and hosts! We will definitely be back!

The space was much bigger than expected! Perfect for a small family. Beds were super comfy and the couches worked great for my toddler. Had a full bathroom and laundry area if needed. The area is nice, found a great dinner spot and breakfast the next morning at Corner Cafe was delicious!!

Brittney's attention to detail make the home both unique and comfortable. With a roof top terrace, a well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed, it was the perfect place to unwind at the end of a long day. If my travel plans bring me back to Norfolk, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

This is my second time using this location for an extended stay. The unit is clean, private and has everything you need to make you feel right at home during your stay. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood that is flat and is walkable around a lake nearby. The kitchen is stocked with a full refrigerator, a large air fryer, Keurig and toaster, the essentials to use to cook during the week. It also has a washer and dryer if needed. Kelly was always responsive and answered any questions. This is always our first look for availability when visiting family in VB.

Maria and her place were absolutely wonderful! My husband and I took a little time to ourselves for the new year and had a blast. It was private and quiet. The bed was super comfortable and I LOVED the tub. My husband also really enjoyed the book collection she had. The whole area felt very comfortable as if you were in your own home. Maria was super responsive the whole stay with whatever we needed. We would definitely stay again!
