Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Cherwell District

Vicky gave good information before arriving and we ran into her on a walk and she seemed very friendly otherwise she was removed but I don't doubt she would've been helpful had we needed her

Great communication from host/managment company, great suggestions for restaurants and places to visit in the handbook provided at this pretty cosy country cottage in a lovely peaceful area. Well equiped and spacious kitchen, good wifi connection - useful for me to do a few hours work from the cottage, Comfortable seating for 3 people in the lounge/sitting room, one extra seat would be handy. We used a garden chair. I enjoyed the eclectic artwork and photographs and interesting selection of books. This was perfect for a few days quiet get away with friends. We had a great three night break here. Highly recommended.

Lovely place. This was a work related trip. I booked it on behalf of 2 employees. They said they were very happy with everything. We would without a doubt book again if we were working in the area.

Clodagh and Paul were the kindest, most helpful hosts we've met in 8 years on Airbnb, and our stay at their cottage was fantastic. The cottage is small but perfectly designed and suited us (4 adults + 1 dog) wonderfully. It did not feel cramped at all (unless everyone’s in the kitchen!). The design of the whole space is lovely and cohesive. Very high quality fixtures and fittings have been used throughout. Highlights: - very well equipped kitchen - AMAZING shower - comfortable living area - two very comfortable bedrooms (1x large double bed + comfortable, sturdy bunk beds) As noted in the listing the stairs are steep and curved, which is manageable with care. Our dog loved sunbathing in the courtyard, though the wrought iron gate to the courtyard has bars wide enough for our large staffie was able to slip through, and take himself on a walk around the park behind the property. We highly recommend Clodagh & Paul’s place, and would love to come back the next time we visit Oxford.

The cottage is very comfortable with all the amenities that we needed for our stay. Lovely enclosed garden for our Retriever & lots of walks around the area. We were only on a stopover visit but we would like to stay longer in the future. Mike & Sue are excellent hosts

Myself and my friend stayed for 2 nights at Heathers place. It really is so homely and the location is perfect. 2 pubs in walking distance and 1/2 hour from clarksons farm. Heather was a great host, very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend this place and woukd love to go back with the hubby. Thsnks heather got a great stay.

We loved it! Gorgeous and characterful, but practical, house. We stayed while at a nearby wedding and it was perfect. Close to shops and pubs but very quiet. Super to have our own parking space. We dropped one star only because we had trouble opening the key box. Fumbling around outside the house in heavy rain and with poor mobile signal while trying to work out why we couldn’t access the key was frustrating, but we got lots of support and encouragement over the phone. Eventually we got into the box using the leverage of my husband pen knife. It was impossible to open without it. No doubt this has already been fixed by now. Everything else was absolutely great. We’d definitely come back again. We especially loved the baby grand - in tune!

Cathy is enormously helpful and kind at the same time as giving you complete privacy and space. A lovely host. And the annex is very pretty and snug and has everything I required. Fabulous footpaths and verdant countryside, and the village Coop is impressive.

Charming village setting with beautiful gardens. Ideal location to stay if visiting Oxford and Blenheim Palace. Barbara was an excellent host!

Clean home and quiet surroundings. We enjoyed staying here for the night.

Beautiful views from the room over gardens and countryside. The room had everything we needed. Amanda was very responsive and gave us a warm welcome.

Would recommend this stay for anyone looking to stay in the oxford area! It was a short trip to the city center by uber or bike (or for those with more time, even a walk). Louisa and Simon were always responsive, before and during our stay and extremely accomodating with everything we needed. Thanks for a great stay!

We can’t rate Vanessa’s lovely flat highly enough! The accommodations exceeded our expectations and the location in the middle of Woodstock is perfect. Having the village and Blenheim Palace at our doorstep was amazing and the private parking spot made it easy to explore Oxford and the surrounding area. We loved our stay and can’t wait to return!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean, and we felt comfortable there. We appreciated that there were plenty of amenities stocked, including sun screen and detergent. Really cute place, just as described. Parking is tight, but we were able to navigate the spot or find street parking close by. We had a really delicious breakfast at Cafe Marada 39, which is in easy walking distance.

We had a great stay, it was ideal for my partner and I, and our dog due to the very spacious garden for her to run around in. The Annex exactly as pictured and described and had everything you’d need for a relaxing and peaceful time away. Sam the host was very helpful if we needed anything and made it easy for us to check in. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area, especially with a dog. Couldn’t fault it, we will definitely be returning!

Claire was absolutely amazing, she really went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. From the moment we arrived, the apartment was incredibly welcoming, there was a book offering helpful tips about the local area. Claire made sure we had everything we needed. For the price, we received incredible value. The accommodation itself was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and had a wonderful, calming atmosphere. The amenities provided were top-notch, and there were thoughtful touches throughout the property that made it feel like a home away from home. Claire's hospitality truly made our trip special, and we would wholeheartedly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We hope to return ourselves in the future!

Perfect 5* hosts/accommodation! Absolutely spotless, perfect accessible facilities to fill all your needs. Off road parking is excellent. Hosts very easy to communicate with and very friendly. (Even left us a lovely bottle of wine for our Wedding Anniversary which is very thoughtful.) Perfect location for Clarksons farm/pub, stunning scenery in the beautiful Cotswolds. Overall a very good experience, such a cracking place to stay and even better that its dog friendly too! We definitely recommend and look forward to staying again in the future. Been trying to book this stay for a while now and I can now fully understand why this was always booked up! Me and partner wanted a couple of nights away from the hustle and bustle of work and this place was so Peaceful and quiet for the weekend. On arrival Jane was very welcoming and a very pleasant lady to talk to. Jane went through all the instructions and provided a folder with all the local amenities which was great touch. The suite itself was perfect for what we needed, a kitchen, bathroom and sofa to watch tv, the tv was a smart TV which was brilliant as you can connect to your Netflix. Also we was provided with coffee, tea, milk, electric blanket, washing machine with softener and washing detergent-all this I regard going the extra mile! The kitchen is also kitted out with cooking utensils. I would recommend this to anybody that’s wants a chilled, peaceful break. Definitly will be booking this again! Thank you Jane!

My family and I had a wonderful night in the Cotswolds. Richs' apartment was a superb base to explore the area.

Super for a short stay - excellent kitchen space, although I didn’t use it. Very comfy bed. Excellent shower and shower room. Plenty of room - not falling over your suitcase or bags. Really close to restaurants. Overall a good find!
