Exceptional river views

n the heart of the Loire Valley, along the Thouet River: a 700 square foot converted barn (newly renovated) with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The house is ideally-situated in the heart of the Anjou wine region, a few miles from Saumur (well-known for it's castle and the French National Horse-Riding School, ''Le Cadre Noir'', wine growers, and troglodytes sites). Also nearby: important castles in Angers, Chinon, Montreuil-Bellay, Brézé, as well as Europe's largest monastic center, the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, which features an excellent music and cultural program. Other worthwhile day trips include the exquisite Loire Valley castles, such as: Chambord, Blois, Cheverny, Azay le Rideau, etc. The house, which is about 187 miles from Paris (300 km), or about 2 hours by TGV, can accomodate two couples with children (sleeps six altogether). The appartement includes : an entrance hall, a large sitting and dining room with a small equiped kitchen, one bedroom, a bathroom, and a small bedroom on a mezzanine level.

This large, peaceful studio offers a relaxing family stay. The main room opens onto: kitchen area, terrace, garden. It accommodates 4 travelers. In the large bedroom there is: king size bed, small desk, suitcase rack, wardrobe. In the living room there is a bunk bed, small garden furniture, etc. In the kitchen you will find everything you need to cook. The owners living upstairs (they speak fluent english) are at your disposal and will be able to guide you on good deals in the surrounding area.

"La petite Maison" a lovely 2 bed/bath home

Idyllic countryside stay, located between the towns of Bressuire, Thouars, Cholet & Saumur. Close to several theme parks (please see guide book). Located a few minutes from lake Hautibus. Village amenities include a boulangerie 2 mins from door, pharmacy, small supermarket and village bar, weekly market in square on Thursdays. **please note there are only 2 double beds at house** We supply all bed linen, towels, tea towels and cleaning materials for your stay along with a welcome pack.

We had a great weekend in this place which was really a favorite! Everything was absolutely perfect: the place is charming, tastefully decorated, very clean and extremely well equipped — you immediately feel at home. It is ideal for 4 people, with well thought out and very comfortable spaces. The location is perfect, just minutes from Puy du Fou, while being quiet, which allows you to really rest after a busy day. It's a real little haven of peace. Communication with Hosts was seamless and very responsive. We feel that they are committed to welcoming us and making sure everything goes smoothly. Fabienne is a super host and she deserves this title! We were hosted very well, some nice touches. Every effort is made to make us feel at home. Charming and well-equipped accommodation. Very good beds, we slept very well. We were located 15 minutes from Parc du Puy du Fou and Fabienne gave us some tips for visiting the park.
