Stream Cottage in glorious Somerset countryside.

KarlRating, 5 stars3 days ago
This place is a little place of tranquility tucked away in the Somerset countryside. The gardens were immaculate, the hot tub delightful, with beautiful walks and vistas everywhere. Our host Kristiane and family were very helpful. We’d most definitely recommend to anyone just looking to get away from it all. Gorgeous.
A quaint cottage, constructed of stone, features a rustic wooden door set into a charming facade. Flanking windows illuminate the exterior, while greenery adorns the surrounding area. The paved courtyard provides a serene setting, perfect for enjoying the outdoors.

Lovely Courtyard Cottage in Axbridge Somerset

RebeccaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Absolutely lovely house and location. Very quiet but close enough to all the amenities. Plenty of pubs and restaurants in walking distant as well. The house itself had everything required and was beautiful throughout. The bed was also the comfiest I’ve ever slept in! Sarah was lovely and incredibly helpful and replied promptly. Overall the stay was amazing.

The Clave - Shipping Container

A wonderful one night stay. So quiet and relaxing. Great weather, doors open overlooking a meadow busy with butterflies, hot bath under the stars. Some chatty sheep to keep us company. I was intrigued to stay in a container. It’s sturdy for sure. Loved every minute. Thank you.

Beautiful cottage, the perfect base to explore Cheddar and its surroundings. We came with our small baby and Sharon and Chris were really helpful in making sure we had all the facilities we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Purdie Close Holidays

Booked the house for 2 young families and grandparents and the house was absolutely perfect for this. Living kitchen area had everything you need and plenty big enough for 9 of us to mingle. The bedrooms had plenty of space for kids to sleep in their own spaces. The boys loved the tipi bed and enjoyed the books provided before bedtime. Master bedroom at the top comfortably housed a baby and a 4 year old. The hosts were great and made sure we had everything we needed prior to our arrival so didn’t need to get hold of them during our stay as everything was perfect. The house was well placed for us with a good pub 2 houses down one side and another just a 5 min walk the other. The main village is a simple 5-10 min walk away. House having its own Netflix/general TV accounts as well as an Xbox with games if you wanted as well was a nice touch. We came with 2 dogs who were clearly completely comfortable during our stay, relaxing after long walks on the gorge. Great stay, fully recommend!

Spacious House in the Heart of Cheddar

HayleyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We visited May 2025 for four nights, 8 of us , 5 adults and 3 children aged 7, 5 and 2. The house was very spacious and really suited a family break! The annex room and upstairs main bedroom both have plenty of space for a cotbed (or 2!) and one of the bedrooms has a really comfy floor bed which the two older children shared. Upstairs beds were all super comfy, downstairs was a little hard for us. Towels, plenty of dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, teabags, sugar, salt, pepper and some ground coffee sachets are provided. Lots of kitchen equipment including children's cutlery and plates, bowls etc. The kitchen/dining space was amazing. Garden was really nice with a lovely outlook and very peaceful, the children enjoyed it too, playing hiding and seak with the colourful stones. The house is a short walk to a lovely playground and green space, as well as a small tesco and a sainsbury . It was also only about a 15 minute easy walk to the Gorge so a really fantastic location!

We had a fantastic time at Fiona’s: the property is beautifully proportioned and finished. Loved the rural location and Fiona was a great host who checked in with us with extra towels and cider! Thank you for having us, it will be lovely to see you again one day.
