Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Cheat Lake

This was exactly as advertised. Beautiful location and the home was perfect for our stay!

From booking to checkout, everything about our stay was perfect!! I made changes to our arrangements shortly after booking and David was quick to respond and very helpful. Upon arrival, easy entry into the house, and everything was very clean and just as pictured. This location is exactly what we hoped for our weekend!! Peaceful, quiet, clean, and relaxing! I would highly recommend this location and look forward to renting here again. I can't thank you enough for helping to our New Year's weekend getaway so memorable!!

We found a "six" star gem walking in the door at Woodhaven. The photos, though true to life, could not adequately convey the warmth and coziness of the living quarters, cleanliness of the rooms, well appointed furnishings in the kitchen, high end bedroom linens and abundance of puzzles/games to keep one entertained and engaged. Wendy's attention to detail, hospitality AND ability to orchestrate a "blizzard" was beyond our expectations and imagination. When we connected in October as owner/renter soon changed to feeling like friend/family in February. We thank you for being instrumental in adding to our treasure trove of memories.

This place is beautiful and very spacious! We went with a group of 7 and everyone loved it. When we had any questions the host was very quick to respond and very kind. They jumped right in to help us with whatever we needed. Would recommend to anyone and would stay again!

What a nice, comfortable cottage backing onto the Cheat River! The back porch is great for morning coffee & breakfast & the kitchen is spacious & well-equipped. Rowlesburg is close to many nice areas for hiking/biking & an easy hour drive to Morgantown to visit our son. One thing I always appreciate about being home in WV (grew up near the Ohio River) is the open-ness & friendliness of the locals just about anywhere I go.

We booked Shannon's place for a bachelorette weekend and it was perfect! Immediately after booking, Shannon provided a long list of local restaurants, bars, and activities which made it extremely easy to set up our itinerary for the weekend. All weekend the girls kept making comments about how nice the home was kept and how well it accommodated the group that went. It was super close (about 5 to 10 minutes) from most of the activities we chose to do and the hot tub was essential for the March weather we had. If we return to the Deep Creek area, we will definitely consider booking this place again!

Beautiful place. The land and view were amazing! The house was very clean and comfortable. They thought of everything and were very accommodating. You were located away enough from the hustle and bustle but close enough it was too far of a drive to get into town. Open communication was great. We went mid April right before opening season so everything wasn’t too packed but still open enough to enjoy everything. Coffee shops and restaurants were great!!

I loved staying here! Private location, safe neighborhood, cute apartment over the (large) garage. Very clean and looked like it was recently renovated. Lower ceiling over the bed/bath area, but in the main living/dining/kitchen area - which was quite large, very clean, and comfortable - the ceilings were over 9'. Would definitely stay again & recommend!

Great location near both WVU campus and Football stadium. Would definitely stay here again!

This was our third stay at this airbnb and won't be our last! Have stayed upstairs twice now, downstairs once. Our preference is the upstairs because it has two bedrooms. Love the path that is just outside the door - and the spring bridge just over the way. Be warned -- there are a lot of steps to the upper floor - so those with mobiility issues will want to choose the downstairs option.

I absolutely LOVED my stay at Mary's place! The desk, fully equipped kitchen and spacious yard made it feel like my own home away from home. It is more comfortable and cozy than I can describe in words and was the perfect amount of space for me and my animals. I will definitely look to stay here again if I ever return to the area. took our 3 dogs over the weekend if you stay in the winter be prepared to chop some some wood and light the fire place there is a park within 5 mins drive from the place while you can walk there, it would be the only easy place to get to be foot the nearest grocery store 20 mins drive in Sommerset so plan ahead

Lynne's cabin is set on a beautiful piece of land, even in the spring when no leaves are on the trees. The acreage is large enough to wonder, but small enough to not get lost. The outdoor fire pit area is perfectly set up facing the mountain ridge. The cabin is very unassuming on the exterior, but once inside, it has been very well put together and I think is nicer than the photos. I don't know everything about building material qualities, but the windows seem incredibly high quality and the view from sitting in front of the fireplace in the daytime with the windows to left and right... it's a breathtaking view while enjoying the comforts of being indoor and in front of a beautiful fire place. You also can't beat the horses just across the street. Incredible scenery.

Amelia’s cozy cabin packs in a lot of fun! There is something for everyone. We loved the heated screened porch, kids loved the trampoline, games, building bonfires, and cooking pizzas in the pizza oven. The well stocked kitchen was a huge bonus! The cabin is located in a great community with a variety of lovely walks and is perfectly situated for skiing at Timberline. We also spent time visiting Thomas / Davis. We had a fantastic dinner at Elender’s, afterwards we enjoyed ice cream and music at the Purple Fiddle. But what we loved most was hanging at the cabin and listening to albums. We can’t wait to return! Tips for future guests: For our next visit we will be sure to pack shampoo, soap, as we forgot but otherwise the cabin has everything you need. If you are sensitive to cats, bring allergy pills. The dander is very minimal. Amelia is a wonderful host. She is very responsive and provided lots of fun local suggestions and pizza oven cooking tips!

The place was nice and quiet. For someone looking to camp out, but without the tent experience, it was perfect.

Abrams Creek is a great place for a quiet, private, beautiful rustic cabin camping experience. The grounds were fantastic, from the moment you pass the check-in you are immediately in the woods. At the cabin itself you feel like you are alone in the woods next to a peaceful stream. The cabin was comfortable and plenty warm with the propane heating, and having a dedicated port-a-potty right next to our site made bio-breaks much more convenient than if you had to walk to a central bathhouse. Highly recommend Abrams Creek!

The house was warm and inviting. We enjoyed the hiking and exploring Trails in the area.
