House vacation rentals in Chambonas

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

A perfect little house to escape to! Ideally located in the Cévennes, super quiet, tastefully decorated and well-equipped. With a swimming pool and beautiful pétanque court… And available, responsive and very friendly hosts!

We had a great time at Lionel and Cathy's. The cottage is superb, the pool too. The environment is quiet, it is the ideal vacation spot for couples or families. Lionel gave us many recommendations for activities around the cottage, so we discovered some very beautiful little-known places. Cathy and Lionel are very friendly hosts and we were hosted very well. We would highly recommend it.

We had an exceptional and rejuvenating stay! The cottage is very well-equipped and so pleasant. We enjoyed the pool and terrace, where the views are breathtaking. Lena & Jean-Claude were fabulous hosts, very helpful & friendly but also discreet. The cottage is super, well equipped & very comfortable - the pictures do not do it justice! A/C in the bedroom was much appreciated! We loved the pool area & outdoor kitchen, & enjoyed barbecuing on the plancha. St Victor la Coste is an unspoilt, un-touristy Provencal village with a good bar/restaurant & boulangerie and great views from the ruined castle a 20min steep walk away. Easy journeys into Avignon, Arles, Uzes & to Pont du Gard. We loved our week in this beautiful cottage & hope to return. Merci Beaucoup Lena & Jean-Claude!

We had two wonderful weeks at Catherine's cottage! We enjoyed the tranquility, the simplicity, wild nature, clean air and challenging walks. The pool was wonderfully refreshing and an experience! Catherine and her family received us very warmly. From Bruno, we received homemade goat cheese. Actually, we prefer to keep this beautiful place a secret:)

We had a great time at this beautiful place. The house is wonderfully embedded in nature. It is very quiet, you only hear the sound of nature, the stream, the animals. From there we had many opportunities to hike with our dog. Banne and the surrounding places are wonderful for those who love hiking or the countryside. It was very clean and beautifully built and furnished. Anne was very nice and discreet. We were able to enjoy this privacy very much. The apartment is well equipped and has everything you need. My stay went very well in a very small beautiful village, isolated and lulled by the permanent music of the Thines river in the distance. From the accommodation, the breathtaking view of this Ardèche valley gives all its charm and character to this experience. A big thank you to Estelle for her clear explanations, for the quality of the accommodation which is well equipped and for the comfortable bedding (because let's never forget that it's also for (good) sleep that we're here :) )

Wonderful if you are looking for a bath of nature, calm, it is the ideal place. The cottage is simply beautiful, pleasant. You are awakened by the light of day and the song of birds. Dark nature lovers at Valentin's! Plus he's nice. 😉

If you love peace, nature and freedom, this place is fantastic. A beautiful, diverse environment with many hiking trails just next door, but also further away. We explored the region by car and took several walks with the dog. But coming back was always a party, and then received a warm welcome from Wallace, in a nice, well-kept and tasteful cottage with everything. Admired the starry night from the deck chair and the last night a thunderstorm spectacle as a cherry on top. Haryhanta provided the delicious and fresh eggs in time and she was ready if we needed anything. Highly recommended and we would love to come back to discover more in the Cévennes at Harryhanta.

This listing is beautiful and is located in a splendid setting. It's total calm. There are some very nice hikes to do in the area. We came at a time when it was not very hot with a lot of rain. The heating system is a small slow-burning wood stove that we had to supply with wood throughout our stay to heat the home and remove moisture. But this stay was a unique experience.

Welcoming host, peaceful environment. We enjoyed the hot tub. Stores relatively close to Vans. We recommend it to people looking for peace and authenticity.

It was a great stay with Anaïs and Mathieu. The apartment is very tastefully furnished, the kitchen very well equipped with everything you need. The apartment is relaxing and quiet in the vineyards. Thanks to the good recommendations, we had a very nice hike and drank good wine.

Idyllic stay, immersed in nature, in a very comfortable, very beautiful accommodation! And sublime walks to take in the surroundings; rejuvenation assured!

We had a great time at Myriam and Yves's place. Everything was perfect. Already the welcome: they are both adorable, very caring. The house they renovated themselves is exceptional. Both very isolated, in a remarkable setting, and very functional. There was really nothing missing. We were able to hike from the cottage. We highly recommend this cottage. A big thank you to Myriam and Yves for all the attention and also for the strawberry jam.

We had a great time at this charming house in Ucel, Ardèche. The house is full of character, beautifully decorated and perfectly equipped for a relaxing vacation. The setting is peaceful, with a beautiful well-maintained pool, ideal for cooling off after a day of exploring the area. The welcome was warm and everything went very smoothly. We'll be happy to go back!

The property is lovely and the hosts were very welcoming and respectful and helpful with suggestions. Our only critique would be that the pool whilst lovely is not private and shared with the hosts who admittedly did not use it whilst we were there and if you like me love to cook the oven was portable and a slight challenge to use. The village and walks were incredible and the location near to Uzes, Nimes and Avignon makes for a lovely stay. A big thank you to Pascal and Catherine x

It was a wonderful stay. For a weekend, we were able to enjoy François' accommodation, which is very well-equipped. The views are breathtaking, the environment is soothing and rejuvenating.
