Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Chambon-sur-Lac

What a lovely old house , in a tiny peaceful village. We couldn't have had a nicer stop over on our trip from Portugal to Switzerland, and I enjoyed my birthday lazing and playing in the garden. The furnishings and kitchen are not modern, but the house is full of style and charm. Although early June, the house was cool at night and we used the amazing log burner. We were there on Whitsun Monday, and a lot of local shops and restaurants closed early, but we had a trip to the old hill top village of Usson, and bought the best ever chicken from a rotisserie in the nearby village. We didn't meet Sonia, but communication with her was very good and friendly.

It is a great house, with a very spacious garden. My dog could safely sniff around in the garden, because it was completely fenced. Bakery is a 2-minute walk away. House is equipped with every comfort. I'd recommend to anyone. Nathalie was very helpful and easy to reach, thank you for this!

Jean-Pierre and Fabienne are a very warm and lovable guest couple. The lovingly renovated cottage offers all comforts and is sparkling clean and wonderfully quiet at Lac de Menet. It is an ideal starting point for excursions into the wonderful and uncrowded surroundings. We will be happy to come back!

Accommodation ideally located halfway between Puy de Sancy and Puy de Dôme. Perfect for lovers of walks and hikes. Perfect accommodation for 4, we didn't miss a thing. Recommended!

Nice welcome as soon as I arrived with all the little messages received before my departure for explanation. Rented accommodation to recharge in peace. Everything was perfect. Very nice environment. Cocooning house. I couldn't even make a small fire in the fireplace. House with all the little amenities provided. I followed the advice of the suggested hikes. Hosts with great care. Very nice cottage. Julien is a friendly host with whom contact was easy. He warned us in advance of the 2 "disadvantages" of the cottage: the bells that ring at 8 a.m. and lots of stairs in the cottage. We knew what to expect! But the rest more than makes up for it. The view from this cottage is magnificent and the environment lends itself to beautiful walks and pretty discoveries! We'll be back with pleasure!

Warm welcome from our hosts and very comfortable house of character in a small village with an excellent restaurant and a well-stocked bakery. Several beautiful hikes around also. In short, I recommend this accommodation without worries.

We had a fabulous weekend! The place is so beautiful, quiet. The cottage is very well-equipped, access to the forest just behind allows for beautiful walks, and offers a very beautiful setting. We were greeted by Magalie, always smiling, who showed us around. Thank you again for your hospitality and availability throughout the stay! We won't hesitate to come back!

We had a pleasant stay at Guillaume's. The apartment is very nicely decorated, very well equipped, very comfortable. Guillaume was always available and accommodating. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful, fully customizable, refurbished accommodation. Close to the hyper center a few meters from bars and restaurants. The spa was great, the shower very pleasant and the services really perfect (Netflix, breakfast, towels and bathrobes, shower gel, coffee...) We'll be back and we'll enjoy the other extra services. We had an unforgettable extended weekend in this cottage on the occasion of a cousinade. The place is beautiful and tastefully decorated. It was perfect for our whole group, couples and families with children :) The view of nature is breathtaking, and the large garden allowed us to fully enjoy every moment: swimming in the pool, dining on the terrace, evenings around the brazier… everything was there for an ideal stay! Finally, a huge thank you to Virginie, warm, available and caring, who with her family, largely contributed to the beautiful atmosphere of our stay! A place we would recommend without so much as a second thought and where we would happily come back!

Everything was as announced, Julia gave clear advises how to reach, to enter etc. etc, During our stay it was (unexepected) very cold outside but the heating was excellent, the wood fired oven was heating greatly. Our dog loved the garden. Julia even prepared a sheet for the dog etc. Location is good to reach many places in Auvergne, Murol castle also just a few minutes to walk and the lake is also very close. Summary: Nice house, nicely equipped, everything available what needed. Super quiet surrounding / area around. Julia is a great host. (When we arrived there were flowers on the table, pick up and arranged by her daughter)

We had a lovely stay, 6 adults and 3 children (5 months, 1 year and 4 years) The house is very functional and very well-equipped. (Toys, high chairs, baby bed…) Large garden, heated pool, plancha/charcoal barbecue… everything is there. And the concierge, Nicolas, is attentive and always available.

Beautiful house, very well maintained, with a great view of the lake and the castle. We had everything we needed to have a good time with the family, with lots of games available for the little ones.

A weekend of racing in the Puys mountain range with 8 friends in this accommodation! Everything was great! Everything to enjoy and plenty of activities within walking distance (hiking, tree climbing, golf, Charade circuit) and easily accessible by car (Puy de Dôme, Pariou, Clermont Ferrand)! We would highly recommend it!
