Vacation rentals with a kayak in Chambers County

I wanted to celebrate my 60th birthday with a lovely water view and with my large family. We have the added consideration of my son-in-law, who has suffered a stroke and is seriously disabled. The house at Kemah was wonderfully perfect. The views over the bay are gorgeous - even on cloudy winter days. The home is spacious and we did not feel crowded. There is an elevator, which allowed my son-in-law be upstairs with us. The home owner provides plenty of things to do, including games and puzzles, ping pong, and fuze ball. Fishing on the lovely pier is another option. There is a prep table to fillet your catch and a refrigerator designated to store it, so the kitchen fridge stays fish-smell free. We stayed in for our meals, but the house is very close to the boardwalk and you can walk to restaurants and bars. 1 of 2 ovens is labeled out of service, and so is the fireplace. Also. the dishwasher doesn’t clean well. For us, these were not problems. We all hope to stay here again!

We had a great time at this house, view of the water was wonderful. Plenty of room and comfy beds. Kayaks, corn hole, and a hot tub kept everyone entertained. Walked to Noah’s Ark restaurant for good food. Note that the pier only goes out as far as you see in the pictures, and then ends. We enjoyed it, would stay again!

I loved this place and the peaceful setting to just get away and relax. It's close to things to do but the best part is view and soothing atmosphere of having the water right out the back door. The set up of the house is cute and modern. I'm looking forward to coming back for another weekend in the future.

Great hosts. Great location and lots of amenities for the kids. Highly recommend checking this out.

Quick getaway for my husband, fur babies and I. This home was perfect for couples with pets. Our dogs enjoyed relaxing with us on the front porch while we had our coffee. Home had all that we needed to stay comfortable and feel at home. Will definitely stay again.

Scott was one of my favorite hosts to date! Absolutely found my home away in Houston. Ha. Seriously, the place was immaculate, welcoming and the nice pair of binoculars made for a wonderful viewing of the moon after a great day at NASA. Also yeah, literally down the street from NASA. If you are picky, this is your place. Thanks Scott!

Beautiful place, and incredibly clean, the hosts also respond within moments of any message. I hope to stay again on my next trip to High Island!
