Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Chaffee County

This is our third time staying at Jackie’s rental. We love the location! Walk out the front door and you’re a few steps to the restaurants, shops and entertainment. It’s a perfect spot for our family- including our dog!

This is our third year staying at R Ranch and it was another amazing trip! We absolutely love staying here. Ruth is very responsive, friendly, and helpful. The house is fantastic! Awesome common space for a big group, plenty of room to spread out in bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen with a huge fridge/freezer, and a fenced in back yard for the pups! On top of all of that, truly breathtaking views in every direction. We will definitely be back again!

Great little place, value was good. Tom sent messages before hand about how to check in, which made it seamless when we showed up.

The place felt like home with all the amenities needed! Great location with easy walking distance to breweries and restaurants and downtown stores. The backyard was great for our son’s dog - secure and large enough for him to have lots to investigate. Monarch biking and walking trail is within sight of the backyard - so fun to watch bikers and walkers pass by - with no issues about privacy. Comfortable and clean living area and bedrooms. We would love to return and stay at the home!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is walking distance from everything Salida has to offer. The home is cozy and private. Karen has put nice touches into the artwork and the kitchen is fully stocked. A very pleasant place to spend time in Salida. I’ll come back again.

This was the perfect place for our weekend stay! So walkable to all of downtown Salida, and stayed cool during the warm weekend. Instructions were clear and communication was very proactive. Thank you!

Rob's home is a perfect home base for a stay in Buena Vista! It is walkable to downtown and close to lots of trails and activities. The large backyard is ideal for dogs!

Beautiful house in an amazing location, right by the river and downtown. We felt right at home and it was a perfect space for two adults, two teenagers and a dog. Would 100% stay here again!

Lovely and spacious cabin in a gorgeous location, minutes from Mt Princeton Hot Springs and an easy drive into Salida or Buena Vista. Our family of 4 plus our pup really enjoyed the experience! The only concern about this particular cabin was that there were no blinds on the front windows/door- they were apparently destroyed a few months prior and hadn’t been replaced yet- which made for a somewhat exposed feeling at night. Bathroom and kitchen facilities are a little dated, but they are in the midst of and ownership change and it sounds like they’ll be making updates soon. Overall a lovely time for a decent price- we would definitely stay again.

Stacey's cabin was the maximum, I would definitely return with my family, it's just what the photos show, we were in a large motorhome and the access was easy and close to the mountain for skiing, thank you very much!

We had a great stay at iron city. The cabin was very comfortable and dog friendly. We had privacy and were able to feel right at home. The scenery was beautiful I would definitely recommend to others

An incredibly hospitable experience. Amanda went above and beyond to accommodate us. She was very responsive, kind, and had a well curated space. We are already talking about coming back to this location again!

This was the perfect little getaway for my wife, our dog and myself. The house was well stocked and on a great little slice of land just outside of Salida. We loved waking up to a little mountain chill, drinking coffee on the porch and making breakfast on their blackstone while overlooking the river. Doug and Stephanie were great hosts and very responsive. We are already planning our next trip back.

Jane’s place is very cute in a great location. Loved seeing all the alpacas and the guinea hens kept our dogs busy lol Jane was super friendly and responsive! Would definitely recommend.

I had such a peaceful & relaxing stay! This bungalow is so thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need. It is quiet and I felt very safe there. It was the perfect place for me to rest before hiking Mt Princeton the next day! The bed is so comfortable (I slept like a rock!) & the water pressure in the shower is great! I really appreciated how responsive Ashley & Zachary were. They could not have been friendlier or more supportive. Thank you!!!

Beautiful home! Very peaceful with awesome views and just a short drive into town. If you're looking for a place to relax, get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and spend time with friends or family, this is it!

2nd visit here. Wonderful place to unplug! Beware: door handle will open from inside while it is locked - I did manage to lock myself out! Thank God I had my truck keys in my hand or I would’ve been sunk. Once I got down to Pitkin, Tony was quick to help me out with a spare key at 10:00pm in the middle of nowhere! I slept really great that night knowing I could’ve been sleeping in my truck! I would recommend Tony hiding a key somewhere or switching to a keypad lock (or even a lock that won’t let you open the door from the inside while it’s locked). Great stay in spite of a nerve-wrecking drive down to Pitkin one evening hoping I could reach Tony. Thankfully it all worked out. Also - FYI - the drive from the Pitkin side is not as rocky as the drive from Tincup. Definitely recommend going up from Pitkin if you can.

My sister and I had a wonderful experience with Doug and felt right at home at his little rustic cabin nestled in an Aspen grove by the creek. The surrounding area is beautiful and Doug was very helpful with local recommendations. Bonus points for helping us load the car after I came down with appendicitis on our last day and had to have an appendectomy, which limited my lifting capabilities. Thanks, Doug! We’ll definitely look at coming back soon! And hopefully I’ll not lose another organ while I’m there! :-)

If you want privacy and amazing view the second you walk out of the cabin, consider booking cabin 10! It was facing the opposite direction from other cabins and it was directly facing the mountains , also giving you a feeling of seclusion and intimacy. I wish cabin had its own restroom so you don’t have to use the shared ones , BUT , I have to admit , that restrooms are the cleanest one I’ve ever came across when camping. Also their recreation area is great for a game of pool , darts, it has huge TV , fireplace , microwaves , and everything you need to reheat your leftovers. They also have a small store right where the office is and to my surprise it’s fairly priced compared to other places I stayed at . We loved BV overlook and would definitely go back there in the future . Close to town , restaurants and other cool things that you should explore while there !
