There's a local turtle family. Located in front of Turtle Beach where green turtles spawn. We are 5 minutes away from the main dock. Our main treasure that we offer our customers is a personal attention, a very clean and quiet place special for family or people who want to rest at the foot of the Caribbean sea. We have air conditioning which is very important since tortuguero is very humid and it is almost impossible to sleep alone with a fan.

Amazing stay in this little slice of paradise, just steps from the beach and entrance to the national park. We were hosted very well and accompanied throughout our stay by Harold the Nicaraguan who takes care of the premises. He does a great job, he took a lot of time to talk with us and showed us plenty of animals in the garden (lazy, monkeys etc.)

A charming wooden cabin is elevated on stilts, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. The structure features large windows and a slanted roof made of transparent panels, allowing natural light to illuminate the interior. The ground is covered in fallen leaves, enhancing the cabin's rustic appeal.

David was a very attentive and friendly host. We came by bus and he also offered a transfer. He has created a beautiful area. The accommodation was perfect and is exactly as described, he also offers tours. He is a biologist who really respects nature. On his tours, we also noticed his enthusiasm for reforestation. His meals were delicious and we felt very comfortable! I was happy to share his enthusiasm and look forward to meeting him again! Pura Vida!

Nehle’s hostel was amazing! Great location. Lovely private room. Room was perfect and clean. Comfy beds and the place feels homely and cosy. Nehle was friendly and so helpful. Has some very friendly pets. We would stay again and recommend the hostel!

We spent three days Tortuguero and enjoyed it immensely. Thanks so much to Christina for booking us with Sambola tours-a family run business that we used for three tours, all of them excellent. Christina was very responsive to all of our questions and even sent someone to meet us at the boat when we arrived to bring us to the house. The space was as advertised, with a beautiful front porch, which we enjoyed using during the rainy times to relax and watch wildlife. While not as secluded as we originally thought, we had no issue with having neighbors above and nearby. It added to the community feel of the town, which was so interesting to experience. Tortuguero is truly a unique and special place! Highly recommend this home as well as the night tour and kayak tour.
