Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Cayuga Lake

Drift away was a wonderful cottage right on the lake. Place was extremely comfortable. Beautiful views. We didn’t have the greatest weather which would have made the trip so much better, so we hope to plan a trip back soon.

Karen was a very gracious and responsive host. We found everything we needed which is in line with top rated hosts. We even found an umbrella anticipating we’d need it when caught in the rain to get ours out of the car on the morning. Very quite and peaceful location. One of the thoroughly clean properties we stayed at. And my wife’s a perfectionist for cleaning! Convenient location to the wineries especially. I would recommend this property to anyone.

We booked this home after changing our trip dates and losing the original house we rented. Boy, was it worth it!! The home is Beautiful! The views, natural light, huge master bathroom, and the most comfortable couch were just some of our favorite things. One of the bedrooms had kids' books and toys, and it was perfect for our 4-year-old daughter. The owners' communication with us was at its best! We look forward to returning next year!

The house is small and cozy, perfect for a couple. We loved it. The sunrise looking out the living room windows is phenomenal. The views of the lake are great. Non-stop fish jumping in the lake. Fishing from the dock was good. Caught a bass by the dock.

We had a great time here! Chris gave us incredible food and activity recommendations making our stay extremely worthwhile. He was responsive and helpful throughout the entire weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here- the views were incredible, the dock was so peaceful, and we loved having access to a fire pit. The driveway is pretty steep, required to walk up/down to access the dock. Our stay was perfect, can't wait to return.

Nooshin's home was amazing! Extremely grateful we were able to book this home for Cornell's Graduation. It was a 10 minute drive to the school and a perfect location that accommodated all of our needs. It had a great living room and kitchen that served as a good place for our family to hang out and spend time with one another. Thank you!

I highly recommend this home for your stay. It is bigger than it looks, has a lot of kitchen and bathroom items available, and the farm lands surrounding are beautiful. Tiffany was great host providing recommendations and excellent communication. She goes the extra mile to ensure the perfect stay.

It was a great stay! The house is very comfortable and modern, had everything we needed. The hosts are great as well, very friendly, answering the messages quickly and demonstrated availability. Location is near the supermarket and close to some restaurants.

I feel we got exactly what I expected or better from the listing. Comfy bed with lots of pillows, liked the living room area a lot. The only downsides have already been mentioned in other reviews - spotty WiFi, sulfur water smell, and a tight fit for my broad shouldered husband to fit on the toilet. The first 2 things just feel like a living in the country situation. I still give it 5 stars anyway. I would recommend this place to anyone who wouldn’t mind those things. Chris was always easy to deal with!

So I'll start by giving a glowing review! This was our first Airbnb experience and I feel like Sarah set the bar very high. We had a wonderful stay. We were blown away at how beautiful, pristine and nicely decorated her "Loft" was. It was fully stocked beyond our expectations. there was plenty of things for us to use if we needed them. Her deck outside was just gorgeous with a beautiful view, comfortable chairs and a gas fireplace. Sarah was very attentive and got back to me immediately when I had questions. You could literally forget your toiletries and you wouldn't have to worry because Sarah had them there for you. We were less than 10 minutes away from the heart of Watkins Glen. Easy drive into town. My husband was very impressed with the parking pad that we had right at the base of the stairs to get into the loft. The description of The loft on the Airbnb website was accurate. we loved our first Airbnb experience. we will definitely be back to Sarah's place.

This was a unique and charming guest suite. It looked just like the pictures! The host clearly put time into decorating and added a little flare to this personal space. The instructions were very detailed and easy. The waterfall in the back of the house was the best!

My parents and I had a great trip to Cortland for my nephew's graduation. The house was very nice and had everything we needed. The hot tub was lovely and the back yard has beautiful gardens. Arnaud was helpful and responsive. We enjoyed staying here.

We loved Glenn and Dianna's place. All the furniture, decor, etc. was great for relaxing and unwinding. The deck (with firepit and grill) has a breathaking view of Seneca Lake, and there are so many restaurants, wineries, breweries, etc. all within a few miles. Also easy access to Watkins Glen and its walkable, quaint downtown. The message we received for checking in was probably the most detailed and helpful we've gotten from any host. Very precise directions for parking, entering the apartment, etc., and lots of information about local restaurants, wineries, etc. It was a pleasure meeting them both, as they are super friendly and genuinely nice people. It is about a half hour or a little more to Ithaca from here (we were in the area for our daughter's college graduation), with an easy trip over scenic back roads. Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for a picturesque, private and comfortable spot in the heart of the Finger Lakes.

Our stay at Ron's was beautiful! I absolutely loved how close we were to Watkins Glen and the fact that we could see the lake from our doorstep! Would stay with Ron again :) Huge pros: • It's super close to Watkins Glen and Seneca Lake • Amazing firepit setup! Setup smartly such that the smoke only blows one direction so you can stay out of it • Well stocked with everything — bathroom/kitchen necessities and then some! Some tradeoffs to be aware of: • There's a few steep stairs to get up to the apartment • The water's a bit funky (somewhat sulfurish smell) so we ended up using the bottled gallon of water Ron left us in the fridge and buying some more for our longer stay

This is a beautiful apartment! I loved the character of the old home that was updated with modern comfort and decor. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet. It was a great spot from which to explore the Finger Lakes region.

Our only regret is this: We didn’t have more time to spend relaxing and enjoying Melissa’s place. Melissa is a wonderful host. She met us at the door, showed us around, and left a wonderful variety of treats and thoughtful items like coffee, eggs, oatmeal, and sourdough bread. Her place was spotless, and the beds were so comfortable! I was angry when my alarm went off and I had to get up to leave! Next time in Ithaca, I hope to be able to stay there again.

Third time here! Beautiful property - so quiet and peaceful with views for days! Beautiful well taken care of cabin- easy to feel right at home. Plenty to do in the area!

Stayed for Memorial Day weekend with my wife. Nice romantic getaway, close to Watkins Glen State Park and local wineries. Great view of the lake and sunset. Very clean little cabin, exactly as described. Will definitely consider again. Tip- save enough hot water for your partner to shower!

Joe's property exceeded all expectations by a mile. VERY comfy, cozy, and clean! As soon as we "checked in", we were wishing we'd reserved it for more than one night. Especially with all that the area has to offer. Very convenient to Hammondsport, Point of the Bluff Music venue/vineyard, and Bully Hill. There are few AirBnB properties that we've stayed, where we would have come just for the property, itself... this is one of them. Very well appointed... all the details have been thought of here, from the screened in porch, and the fireplace in the living area, to the quiet out-of-the-way space in the loft. As fairly new empty-nesters who now have more space than we know what to do with, as well as soon-to-be retirees, wifey and I agreed that we could see ourselves being quite content retiring in just such a space. Two thumbs up... way up!

Loved, loved, loved this place! Can't say I've stayed in a log cabin before, but Sarah's place looked and felt quite cozy. There was plenty of room for the five of us, and we had a great time. It had everything we needed, and Sarah was also quick to respond on any questions that we had. The screened-in porch and easy access to the lake were big pluses, and I personally took advantage of them a couple of times. If you're reading this review as a traveler, make sure to book this place if it comes up because you'll love it too.

Great Stay Great Cabin! Everything was clean we felt comfortable there. The hot tub was great after the 2.4 mile walk at Watkins glen. It was too cold for us to kayak but it was nice sitting by the water and chilling. Loved the sound of the water at night.

Great, cosy cabin. Exceeded our expectations for a weekend getaway from Toronto. The cabin is clean and has nice amenities! If you're looking for a fun place to stay, this is it!

I picked this place as a getaway from the typical city life. It was very much worth it. It is very peaceful, the people around it are very friendly, and there are many wineries that you can choose from, hiking trails, and falls. And even if you don't want to go out, the place itself is very peaceful. We were able to make a fireplace, enjoy the morning and nightfall, and have a great sleep. The bed was very comfortable! It’s suitable for those who love solitude as there is no Wi-Fi, so that you won't be flooded with emails or text messages. I brought many board games with me to use at night, and the Host has a couple of games to play with outside, so that was a plus! 🤩
