Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Cathkin Park

Firstly, having been to so many different areas in the Drakensberg over the last 30 years, we've settled with the area in which Imke's lovely place is located. Bergview Estate in particular is just so lovely. It's right in the mountains, the atmosphere is very relaxing and all the properties are mostly private and secluded (just the way we like it). The surrounding scenery is just breathtaking and there is plenty to do with quite a few hikes close by. The blue grotto hike, as you will read everywhere, is just something out of this world! This brings me to Imke's place... It's the perfect house in our favorite area. The stone outside walls and lovely spacious garden with gorgeous oak trees is just what we imagine a fairytale holiday house to be. It totally compliments the area and makes for a very relaxing stay. It's the second time we use the same house - don't see us looking elsewhere in the future. I can absolutely recommend Imke's place. Thank you, Imke!

This was the warmest place in Winterton that we have ever stayed in with my team. The house was absolutely clean and hospitable as described in the images. There is absolute safety, comfort and homely touch.

From the breathtaking views to the spectacular accomodation and warm reception of the hosts is what made our weekend a most memorable and exciting time. I highly recommend this beautiful homestead to anyone who is seeking to enjoy the splendor of nature in a stunning home with incredible views. We will most definitely be returning to this amazing place. I also want to place on record that we were a little late in checking out but our host was very accommodating.
