Everything was perfect, very well located with many shops around and the motorbike rental is very cheap. Xuân is very nice and helpful. The vegan restaurant is also great!

I spent two peaceful days at Lan Homestay, exactly what I needed for a quiet moment on my own, away from the hustle and bustle of Cat Ba town. Access is great: a speedboat (between 500k and 700k VND) offers a nice ride in the bay, followed by a small golf cart to the village, already an adventure in itself. Even if there is a bit of traffic with tourists cycling or hiking in the park, the place remains quiet. The setting is beautiful, soothing. The family is adorable, the food delicious (special mention to the coconuts), and the garden is maintained with a lot of love, you can feel it. The hike not far is a little tough but the view is worth every drop of sweat. I loved this little cocoon, I was like a queen. Big up to the little brother, super attentive and helpful, a gem 🤗

Very nice place, very clean and abec everything you need, very nice pool. Close to restaurants and bars. Friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay.

This is one of my favourite hostels I’ve ever stayed in. Simone is so warm and lovely as well as her array of animals who me and my boyfriend both fell in love with. Don’t come here if you’re not a fan of animals but otherwise it honestly made our stay so special- the cats would come and sit on our laps and the dogs were equally adorable. The owner of the place was so warm and kind and helped us with recommendations and any questions we had. I would absolutely recommend you coming here- especially if you are missing you furry friends who are back home! The only slight downside was the location as you had to get a taxi into town/hire a bike but that was easy enough- just factor in the cost. Thank you so much! I hope we can come back one day

Kien’s place is great! I made mistake with check in dates and he has been very helpful and accomodating. The space itself is beautiful and very relaxing. The lake view is unique and spot on! All the people working there have been truly nice and welcoming. I would highly reccomend this place!

Extremely helpful and nice. We had a great stay, and received support from the whole team throughout our stay, planning activities, transport etc.

We had such an amazing stay at the Blue Lagoon. The location is set back from the main road and very peaceful. Hai is an incredibly thoughtful and responsive host - it was my partner’s birthday and he made us cocktails on the house and helped us to order takeaway to eat at the Airbnb (we loved the setting so much we wanted to have birthday dinner in)! When it rained overnight he left an umbrella outside our cabin for us and when we wanted coffee the morning we were leaving he made them for us on the house as we had already paid. The coffee is incredible and Hai gave us a tutorial of how to make it ourselves when we get round to buying our own filter. The dog and cats are gorgeous and so friendly, we miss them already. The only issue we had was with the sewage smell from the bathroom, which other people have previously commented on. Despite this we thoroughly recommend staying here!

We stayed for 1 night, and everything was good. Good communication as well.

We got the bus from Hanoi to Cat Ba and reached the Island via cable car. We were dropped off near the accommodation but took a little to find as we were looking for no.5 but best to look for no. 74. there is a small sign then you take a small lane around back to find no. 5. also we contacted Huong who helped us with directions as Google maps wasn't a great help. other than that all was fantastic. Huong and her family very helpful. will book trips/bus/taxi. whatever you need. No grab on island.
