As you approach the driveway on the private lane, you'll be welcomed by beautiful meadows and rolling hills. Set on 10 acres in a shaded, forest of mature trees it's comfortable year round. There are beautiful mountain views from several locations on the property. It's peaceful and quiet here most of the time. We're conveniently located just minutes from Flint Hill, not much farther to Washington VA, Sperryville and Front Royal. It's a two bedroom/one bathroom apartment above a detached garage.

Take it easy at a tranquil getaway on Fauquier County's historic Springs Road. Enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset from the deck. Take in the local wineries or some Civil War history. Catch the Gold Cup Races at Great Meadows, or travel to Skyline Drive to hike in the beautiful Blue Ridge. Fresh eggs are available at Whiffletree Farm right down the road. Little House on Strother Run

Nestled between Mount Tom and Double Top Mountain and at the edge of the Shenandoah National Forest, Little House is the perfect starting out and ending point for a peaceful and relaxing stay in the Appalachian Mountains. Little House is located at the edge of our 7 acre property. You'll enjoy the bucolic atmosphere of our farmette which includes use of our shared sitting area on Strother Run. The sitting area is shared with the main house which is rented or used by our family periodically.

John Pope Cabin Browntown Va. We now have Starlink

Our cabin, located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains is uniquely positioned overlooking a large open field where hawks hunt and bears leisurely stroll. Our neighbors have horses that peer over the fence (nosy) pet them but don’t feed them, please. Our cabin was built in 1865 by a Confederate soldier returning from the Civil War. Eleven children were born and raised in John Pope Cabin. Our cabin is rustic. A large front porch with swing is waiting for you. @walnuthillcabin

This property is professionally cleaned and sanitized after each reservation. We are now accepting longer-term reservations!

Centered in Fauquier's wine country it is ideal for the weekend escape, or day trips West to the mountains, East to DC or points south. Also, a perfect solution for accommodating family at get-to-gathers, wedding guest, or your "Halfway overnight stay" traveler North/ South or to the beach.

Studio apartment with separate entry at historic Glenmore in scenic Brandy Station, VA. Beautiful farm location with newly renovated space featuring a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and toaster. Bedroom/living area with queen bed and twin sofa bed. TV with dish and unlimited internet. Full bath with shower. We cannot accommodate children under the age of four because the space has an open wooden staircase that cannot be blocked off.

Whatever you choose the bunkhouse is stocked with roasted coffee, farm-fresh eggs, fresh-baked bread, teas and soaps from our incredible local homesteaders and artisans.
