Charming house and Roof garden on mountains & sea

Artist's House is situated in the charming medieval village of Maranola overlooking the Gulf of Gaeta. A beautiful garden between mountains and sea; a room carved into the rock. One hour by train and car from Napoli and Roma. Please note: we don’t have self check-in, because we like to meet and welcome you in person. Therefore the check-in times is strict and only possible in the afternoon between 3 and 8pm. We can try to accommodate different times of requested fairly in advance. Thank you

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: THERE ISN’T WI-FI!!! Excellent position close to Naples (40 km) and Pozzuoli. Both cities are linked by ferry with Ischia, Procida and Capri. The gulf of Gaeta is only 30 min by car. The house, completely independent, is 50 sqm large and has a unique view in front of the sea, and a huge garden of mediterranean vegetation. The house is well illuminated and comfortable, with classy finishes. Is also possible to reach the beach that is 500m far from the house!

There are four bedrooms (one with ensuite bathroom) and a family bathroom. The Master and VIP bedrooms are garden facing, opening on to a balcony which runs along the whole width of the house. The whole house is equipped with DVB-S (free world sat) TV and WIFI. The charming village of Scauri, is only short walk away. The kitchen has all the conveniences a guest could want, including, microwave, oven, grill and fireplace and can accomodate up to 11 people.

We had to book this accommodation super spontaneously for 3 days because the area of our original accommodation was too unsafe. So safety was our most important criterion and Alessia's apartment is in a safe neighborhood. We particularly liked the fact that the AirBnB is spacious. The terrace is very pleasant and feels private, even with the view of the other balconies of the surrounding residential buildings. The two bathrooms are very helpful. One even has a bathtub, which was really worth its weight in gold with a baby after the beach to shower. The beach is about 5 to 10 minutes away on foot. There is air conditioning for those who use it. We prefer to sleep with open windows and earplugs (the distant street is a bit noisy). Always happy to come back :)

We stayed in this apartment in Formia and the experience was really positive. Located on the fifth floor, it offers a breathtaking sea view that alone is worth the stay. The location is excellent, in the heart of the historical part of the city, a short walk from all the main services and points of interest. The apartment is quiet and well maintained, perfect for relaxing after a day spent between the sea and walks. A significant plus is the condominium parking, which is very convenient given the central location. Recommended for both a short vacation and longer stays.

We were warmly welcomed by Maria Sara and her husband, and we felt very comfortable immediately. Both were very friendly, helpful, as a welcome greeting there was even a small snack. The apartment was clean and equipped with all the amenities. The location is ideal, it's not far to the sea, ideal for a relaxing and comfortable vacation. We were also offered 2 bikes, which we used to ride to the beach. The free parking at the house is also perfect.

"MARE DENTRO" VACATION HOME

We spent 6 weeks at Anna Maria's. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The house was spacious, clean, welcoming and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the "tools" needed to bake and cook! As a person who likes the cook, this was very important. The outside space was beautiful. Gorgeous flowering plants and several areas to sit and enjoy the lovely Formia weather. Anna Maria was the most gracious host and always available to help with our questions. She not only helped with restaurant suggestions she even made the reservations for us! We don't speak Italian. We highly recommend this property!

Our stay in this beautiful family home was particularly nice . The location of this rental offers a beautiful view of the Bay of Formia/Gaeta. The beautiful and large garden with Mediterranean colors, the pool, the calm of this place allow you to relax well. The gastronomy of Italian cuisine is featured in nearby towns and tours of Naples, Pompeii… complete this Italian holiday. Not to mention Loredana's very warm welcome, always ready to be of service.
