We had a great stay at Michael and Mandys place. My boys (4 and 6) LOVED the farm animals- a real highlight to our trip! with fresh eggs, chicken cuddles and horse pats. The house was so much bigger and better than I expected. The perfect place to relax and explore the island! We hope to be back again one day!.

This Airbnb is an absolute gem! If I could, I would give 6 stars out of 5. It is located in a tranquil coastal community with amazing wildlife. You will see koalas on the trees right in front of the house, kangaroos hopping in the back garden, and echidnas trying to find food in the front garden. I should also mention the amazing starry sky. Nevertheless, it is only a short drive to Kingscote, which is the biggest town on the island. The Airbnb itself is very spacious and has a beautiful sea view. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and has everything that you need. And when I say "everything", I really mean "everything"! It's not the typical Airbnb kitchen, which has all the basics, but you could tell that Herb really made an effort to equip the kitchen as if it were your home. Herb himself is an absolute gentleman, who welcomed us personally, showed us around and helped us a lot to plan our stay on the island. He provides a lot of local information and is lovely to talk to.

This has to be one of the most special air bnbs on the planet. Private bay and coastline, kangaroos and wallabys surrounding the house, gorgeous island to explore. Stokes bay is the coolest beach entrance I’ve ever seen. Amazing sunsets. This is a fairly remote place and the warnings are real, even in calm seas the current is strong, and animals did try to enter the house - do keep the door closed! But when we had a small issue, Stacy came over in 10 minutes and got us sorted. 20 minutes from the house to the local grocery, other than that, good to plan ahead for food. Fantastic kitchen and gas grill, easy to prepare at home. Bucket-list destination for sure.

Views were fantastic and better than the photos reflect. Very quiet and peaceful place. We saw kangaroos, wallaby and an echidna from the windows. Binoculars and books on local wildlife were great. Bed was comfortable, and the place was very well equipped. Great stay!!
