Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Carteret County

This was our second stay at Gabriela’s place. We visit family in the Havelock/Newport area and this is the ideal location for us. We travel with our 2 dogs and a fenced yard is a necessity. Gabriela’s place has a very large, safe yard. Perfect for us!

We had a great stay while traveling between gigs on the coast, Karoline’s home is beautiful and comfortable and in a great location for visiting the coast! The snacks (which included chocolate covered strawberries!) and water was a very thoughtful touch. I wish we had been able to stay longer to enjoy the activities in the spacious yard! Karoline’s home has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay, highly recommended!

This is an awesome beach house for multiple families. We had plenty of room. The walk to the beach is on a short boardwalk then steps to the ocean. The multiple porches offered a great place to sit with morning coffee and watch the waves. There are tons of kid's toys and beach toys as well as chairs, etc. You really do not need to bring a thing to enjoy a fun time with kids on the beach. The kitchen, also, is very well stocked with everything you need to cook...even down to spices in the cabinet. This was a lovely place to stay. We all said we would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Tim, for providing everything we needed for an awesome three nights at Emerald Isle!

Thank you for opening your home to us we enjoyed our stay! We were in town for our Marine son and daughter in laws baby shower and it was such a good trip.

My husband and I do not usually stay at Air bnb's because of a couple bad experiences. Now that we have two kids we needed a kitchen and more space than a hotel. David and Patricia's house was absolutely perfect. There were some toys for the kids, a fenced in backyard for my 3 year old to run, and so many other conveniences. We felt at home immediately. We will be staying here for any future visits. Thank you for having us !

We had a great time at Kristie’s place for our family vacation. It comfortably fit 6 adults and 3 children. The small private suite downstairs was perfect for my parents who like a little extra privacy. The private pool was a god send with small children and also well maintained. The space was clean and comfortable. The location is perfect . Lots to do and plenty of delicious restaurants. I don’t think we drove more than 5 mins all week. The beach is beautiful and clean and located close to the house. There are other public beach locations super close as well if you didn’t want to walk. I’d absolutely recommend and would come back. Randy's place will be the first place I look for on my return. He was friendly and very helpful to me finding things to do and see. His place was clean, and most of all very cozy. It was private with a small porch to sit and have morning coffee outside. Only a 2 mile drive to the ocean beach was a plus. Convenience grocery store right across the street. Awesome place.

Very spacious getaway cottage situated close to amazing views. Very impressed with the bathroom amenities and size of bathroom. The locals in Beaufort are far the kindest souls on the planet. Very pleased with my experience.

My family enjoyed staying there. It was comfortable, beautiful, peaceful, friendly, clean, and we literally had the best sleep we have had in the longest time, those beds were so comfortable. We really enjoyed the doc and the pool.

We had a wonderful and much needed get away - Exploring New Bern was great - so convenient and we really appreciated how peaceful Lil'dock was. More spacious that the photos showed and so clean and neat! Enjoyed sitting on the back porch and seeing the sunset.

We sincerely appreciated the care and attention that Steve and his wife put into making their rental comfortable and relaxing. The attention to detail and warm, friendly atmosphere made our stay extremely pleasant... it was the perfect place to be our home base during our first trip to the Crystal Coast!

We had a great stay at Bella’s bnb. Everything was clean and as advertised. It was nice to have a reserved parking spot. We had a hard time finding the numbered spot at first but Sandy answered immediately and assisted us. Thanks!

The Downtown Hideaway was the perfect location to walk to the Christmas floatilla. It’s perfect walking distance to anywhere on the water front. We really enjoyed our stay here.

What a charming, well-appointed place! Had everything we needed! Easy to find and in a lovely very dog walkable neighborhood. Perfectly located for our business needs. We will absolutely stay here again when we come back to New Bern!

Shari was very accommodating, responsive, and friendly. The condo was clean and spacious, and the beach access on the property was great!

Jillian's space was an excellent find. We have stayed in the complex before (booked through a local agent), but always on a lower floor. Jillian's place gives a beautiful view of the beach rather than the dunes. Easy in and out. Any issues were quickly resolved...in fact we facetimed to resolve a tv connection glitch. Kitchen is stocked with plenty of pots and pans, dishes, etc. I always travel with my nutribullet so didn't look for a blender. TONS of linens, blankets, and extra towels. All the comforts of a home away from home. Beach chairs, umbrells, and sand toys available for use. Note: Top floor means walking 3 flights of steps so do not book if you have any walking issues. Better note: If time allows and you are looking for a self guided excursion I highly recommend Island Ferry Adventures out of Beaufort. I took 2 tours through them. The first to Sand Dollar Island and the second to Bird Shoals. I found sand dollars and shells at each, though Bird Shoals was my favorite!

We just completed our third stay with Marilyn. Our family absolutely loves this spot. It's so nice that our family of 6 can fit fairly comfortably and it's especially great that there are two full bathrooms. We also love how well kept the property grounds are, as well as how easy it is to get to the beach. We just got home a little while ago and my 4 teens are already talking about planning our next trip! Thank you Marilyn!

This home was perfect for our NC vacation. Looks exactly as it was presented to us, easy to communicate with & Megan was quick to respond throughout the process!

Diane’s condo was absolutely amazing. The ocean view was spectacular. The condo was spacious, uncluttered, and exceptionally clean. Diane was extremely easy to communicate with and responded quickly to all of my emails. I would definitely chose to stay at Diane’s property again.

An amazing place to stay only made better by an amazing host. Perfect instructions, everything at your fingertips. Highly recommend!

This place was the cleanest rental I’ve ever seen. The pictures in the listing are exactly what you find when you arrive. Lisa was super responsive and accommodating as we had encountered a last minute change in plans. I highly recommend this lovely place!!
